Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 445: The Earth Energy I Had Never Paid Attention To

“Big Sis Little Han, is something making you so happy?”

“Hmm? Am I being that obvious?”

Returning to the dorm, I immediately ran into Yu Yetian.

Faced with her question, I subconsciously reined in my overly demonstrative emotions.

“Mhm, it’s very obvious. Anyone with eyes can see it.”

Yu Yetian evaluated calmly.

“I see. Well, I’ll pay attention next time.”

“Mhm, I have something to do first. See you later.”

Yu Yetian also didn’t say much.

Since I hadn’t mentioned what happened, she didn’t press further out of curiosity.

“See you later.”

After a simple farewell to Yu Yetian, I returned to my private space.

Since I had decided to find something to occupy my time, I naturally couldn’t let the time pass in vain.

So, I turned my attention back to the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook.

The research on the Earth Vein, which I had started earlier, was put on hold due to various reasons just as it was gaining traction.

Now that the Monthly Exam was over, I had plenty of time to tackle the difficult problems I faced.

But the matter of Big Sis Bai still lingered in my mind, which indeed caused me no small amount of trouble.

I could only use the Unity of Knowledge and Action Spell to temporarily get myself into a focused state.

After regaining some of my previous concentration, my thoughts returned to the earlier research on Earth Vein Energy.

With the help of the Tree of Knowledge, I wouldn’t forget important things due to the passage of time, unless I actively deleted them and turned the so-called knowledge and memories into pure nourishment for the Spell.

I was also taking precautions for the transformation of the Tree of Knowledge.

Although I had no concrete ideas, I was actively experimenting, for example, by treating unused knowledge and memories as the Spell’s nourishment to maintain the vigorous development of the Tree of Knowledge.

I brought up the content of the book I had read in the library before: a transformation method to break the ”regional nature” of Earth Vein Energy, using Alchemy to perform Energy Transmutation on Earth Vein Energy and convert it into another form of energy.

Since this was my first attempt, the Transmutation Formation required me to use many Transcendent materials as aids.

However, most of these could be substituted with Red Copper and Mithril; even Arcanite Gold could be used in Alchemical Transmutation.

These materials would be consumed by the principle of Equivalent Exchange in Alchemy, so learning Alchemy was, to some extent, indeed expensive.

As for other Alchemical materials that could not be replaced by Mithril or similar materials, I would have to purchase them myself.

Fortunately, these were not uncommon items.

By the time I finished these preparation tasks, a significant amount of time had passed.

This was with the efficiency gained from the Teleportation Spell.

If it were before, I estimated it would have taken me even more time.

It seemed necessary for me to establish my own Transcendent Material collection library, but then I thought about the price of Transcendent materials…

Hmm, I think building a Teleportation Marker network to specialized material shops within the Witch Academy would be more economical.

I could just buy whatever I needed whenever I needed it.

How convenient is that?

As long as my teleportation network was extensive, the shops themselves would be my warehouse.

Putting aside these temporarily unfeasible ideas, I took the materials I bought with a heavy purse to a landscaped park in the academy that didn’t have too many people.

Yes, I didn’t return to the dorm, but went outside.

The Earth Vein Energy required for the Earth Vein Energy Transmutation Formation naturally couldn’t be generated out of thin air.

Although in theory, Earth Vein Energy fills every corner of a world, I naturally wouldn’t seek trouble by increasing the difficulty for myself.

Wouldn’t finding a place with a relatively dense concentration of Earth Vein Energy reduce a lot of trouble?

In fact, the places with dense Earth Vein Energy in the Witch Academy were mostly large, open public areas, such as the place where the enrollment was held at the beginning of the semester.

At the start of the semester, large-scale Earth Vein Projection was used there, just to give the newcomers a sense of the Transcendent world and to facilitate the enrollment process.

But those places had too many people.

If I caused too much of a commotion, I would probably suffer social death on the spot.

So, I chose this landscaped park area. Based on the small Earth Vein equipment visible here, I could tell the Earth Vein Energy here was not weak.

Otherwise, these devices wouldn’t be powered by Earth Vein Energy.

“Hmm… this spot is nice. I’ll settle here for now.”

After selecting a relatively open grassy area and organizing the materials, I began my first attempt.

Before trying, I had already simulated the Transmutation Formation Ritual multiple times in my mind using the Tree of Knowledge, ensuring no accidents would occur.

After all, one failure would consume precious Transcendent Knowledge and Mithril!

These were all money!

Taking a deep breath, I started the Transmutation Ritual, placing the Mithril and other materials into the ritual.

Under the intertwining of my Mental Strength Threads, a Earth Vein Energy Conversion Ritual began to take shape.

Then, I focused my gaze on the graphic record formed by the Tree of Knowledge that I had independently called up, comparing it with the Transmutation Formation to ensure I made no mistakes.

Although it is said that failure is the mother of success, if I were to fail even after infallible preparation, that would be unforgivable.

However, it was clear that I succeeded on the very first try.

The success didn’t bring me much sense of achievement, as it was within my expectation.

The miniature Transmutation Conversion Formation began to operate, and the scarce Earth Vein Energy was gradually being absorbed.

The rate was negligible.

But I didn’t dare to create a larger Transmutation Formation.

First, I was afraid of causing too much of a commotion.

Second, if the Ritual Formation were to be enlarged, the required materials would increase exponentially.

Although I was not short of money recently, I felt a slight pang of distress at this moment.

But I wouldn’t think too much about that now, concentrating on everything before me.

Because every piece of experimental data was worth recording.

My Spirit Vision was the best observation method, and the Tree of Knowledge was the best recording method.

“Mhm… currently, the Earth Vein Energy conversion output is stable, but there’s an excessive loss of information data…”

I muttered this information to myself, considering whether this brief attempt met my expectations.

Judging by the current situation, the loss of Earth Vein Energy information after conversion was somewhat severe.

Even without further testing, I knew this ready-made Transmutation Ritual was not up to standard.

With a severe loss of information data, it would be difficult even to interpret the information within the Earth Vein, let alone the fact that the information in the Earth Vein itself inherently possesses a certain property of informational chaos.

Even with the large knowledge reserves of the Tree of Knowledge serving as a database, it wouldn’t be enough to squander resources like this.

Just as I attempted to use my Mental Power to touch this converted Earth Vein Energy, feeling the nature of this energy and testing its affinity with my Mental Power, I was suddenly stunned.

A thought instantly struck my mind like lightning.

The energy converted by this Transmutation Ritual felt incredibly familiar…

Earth Energy!

The Earth Energy that was so widely used in that Small World that I had ignored it!

Thinking of this, my heart immediately started racing.

This was an incredible discovery!

And the more I thought about it, the more reasonable it seemed.

The Earth Energy Conversion Technology was created in that Small World, inspired by the effect of that Transcendent Item.

After the Earth Energy Conversion Technology became widespread, the Plant Network began to rapidly deploy.

Therefore, Earth Energy, this Transcendent Energy, must be a type of energy that is highly compatible with that Plant Network.

Even if the energy level of Earth Energy was not high, its energy nature was special.

I was wrong; my previous thoughts were all wrong!

Earth Energy is the most powerful!

It presents itself to everyone in the most ordinary form, easily spreading and benefiting the entire world.

It is the foundation upon which the Plant Network could be constructed!

Now, the only things left to confirm were whether the Earth Energy converted by this Earth Energy Conversion Technology could break the regional nature of Earth Vein Energy, and to check whether the information loss rate during the conversion process was acceptable.

If all of this met my expectations, then many problems would be solved instantly!

In fact, I felt that the latter concern shouldn’t be a major issue.

After all, that world was able to achieve global informatization by leveraging Earth Energy, so the information loss rate it carried certainly wouldn’t be very high.

At this moment, due to my excessive excitement, the Transmutation Formation in front of me directly entered an overloaded state due to my mistake.

“Tsk…”

Watching the Transmutation Formation gradually falling apart due to the mistake, I immediately enveloped it with a Protective Spell to prevent it from exploding and harming anyone.

Then, I cut off its energy supply, and it finally fell into silence due to the lack of energy.

Although there was still a lot of data that hadn’t been collected from this Transmutation Formation, I now had a brand new idea, so there was no need to spend too much effort on the old one.

I slightly patted the folds of my clothes, which weren’t very dusty, and subconsciously glanced around, confirming that no one had noticed me, then left immediately.

As for the ruined Transmutation Ritual?

Throwing it in the trash can was my final act of mercy.

Even though that ritual had cost me a lot of Mithril and other precious materials, its value had reached its limit.

I touched the four-leaf clover hair accessory on one side of my head.

After searching inside for a while, I took out an item.

This was an item containing most of the techniques and achievements of that world, which I had collected before leaving that Small World.

I kept it to inspire me and help me draw inferences about other things when I was bored.

And among this, there must be something like Earth Energy Conversion Technology.

Although this was, to some extent, a technological creation, and I had seen the enormous Earth Energy Conversion Device, which was simply a super-large building, I believed that by leveraging the power of spells and Runology, it could be ”miniaturized” to a certain extent.

Furthermore, I wasn’t trying to replicate such a large Earth Energy Conversion Plant.

After all, the Witch Academy didn’t have the empty space for me to experiment with such a massive thing.

I only needed to extract its Principle and guiding Rules from this technology, and I could achieve similar results in my own way.

Thinking of this, I directly used the Tree of Knowledge to open this information storage device.

It was originally a device that could only be opened using the Plant Network, but my Tree of Knowledge was a spell constructed with the framework of the Plant Network.

To some extent, it was even a higher-level system than the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree and those computers.

Therefore, reading this information using the Tree of Knowledge was certainly possible.

After all, my ambition was to use the Tree of Knowledge to read the information carried within the Earth Vein River!

How could it fail to even read the information inscribed within a technological creation?

Moreover, the sources were homologous.

I walked back while trying to understand the information recorded within.

Naturally, understanding a completely new and unknown thing requires spending more time.

Furthermore, this was a technological creation, and it only recorded technological artifacts, along with many specialized terms from that world, so I was struggling somewhat to understand it.

And extracting the Principle from the superficial aspects of these technological artifacts also required time.

But it didn’t matter.

What I needed was an activity to pass the time.

Looking into this Earth Energy Conversion Technology for the next period of time was just right.

Time passed unknowingly, and in the blink of an eye, several days had gone by.

In these few days, I had completely grasped the so-called Earth Energy Conversion Technology and, using the Earth Vein Energy Transmutation Formation technique of Alchemy as a framework, constructed a brand new Earth Energy Conversion Transmutation Formation and completed the initial attempt.

The first-generation version of the Earth Energy Conversion Transmutation Formation instantly outperformed the original Earth Vein Energy Transmutation Formation in the initial experiment.

Although the information loss rate carried by the Earth Energy was still somewhat high, it was much better than the initial Transmutation Ritual.

Moreover, this was only the first-generation attempt.

I had already planned to perform multiple iterations and convert this Alchemical form of Transmutation Formation using the Runology of the spell domain.

After all, I needed to ”load” this technique onto the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook, so this step was essential.

But now, I was in no mood to update and iterate the Earth Energy Conversion Transmutation Formation.

I could do that anytime.

It wasn’t difficult; I only needed to follow my plan step-by-step to continuously improve.

But if I missed the opportunity to greet Big Sis Bai today, it would be missed forever!

Today was the day the Academy Head told me about the Witch Academy teacher rotation.

The location was at the formal main gate of the Witch Academy.

After all, they would arrive at the Main World first, confirm the location, and then head to the Witch Academy.

Although I really wanted to leave the academy to greet Big Sis Bai, I couldn’t leave the academy just yet.

It wasn’t that I couldn’t; the Curtain Wall covering the entire academy wouldn’t stop me.

But if I damaged the Curtain Wall, I would have to pay compensation, and with the unauthorized exit from the school and other violations, who knows how the academy would punish me.

Today, I deliberately wore a slightly more formal outfit.

These were clothes Big Sis Bai and I bought together while shopping.

They were light and cool.

On my clean, white thigh was Big Sis Bai’s favorite Thigh Strap, which I had adjusted to the tightness she liked.

Looking at myself in the mirror, the exquisite clothes paired with a perfect figure, every curve of my body exuded feminine charm.

“Eh? Big Sis Little Han, what’s with you today? Dressing up? What are you doing?”

Hong Chenyi, who had just stepped out of her bedroom, was also shocked to see me.

This was the first time she had ever seen me suddenly care about my appearance.

Normally, I wore no makeup and only the most comfortable sets of clothes.

Although this outfit wasn’t what she called ”dressing up,” it looked very formal compared to what I usually wore.

“Hong Chenyi? Do you have class today? Why are you up so early? I’m going to greet a person—oh no, a Transcendent Witch. Wish me luck. I’m leaving now.”

“Eh? Good… wish you luck…”

Hong Chenyi stared blankly as I left the dorm.

She then quickly ran back.

“Wake up! Everyone wake up! Big Sis Little Han is acting strangely today; something big must be happening! Don’t sleep anymore! Dongli Yiren! Guan Qiuling!”

“Mhm… Hong Chenyi? Don’t you have class today? Don’t bother me, I don’t have class today…”

“Don’t sleep! Big Sis Little Han is most likely going to see her girlfriend! Big Sis Little Han’s girlfriend… do you understand what that means!”
