Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 422: The Difficulties of the Tree of Knowledge Derivative Spell

As soon as I pushed open the door and came back, I saw Qiu Ruxin, who had just woken up, wearing pajamas and sitting on the sofa in the living room.

The TV was still on, and she was watching it.

”Hmm? Big Sis Xiao Han went out so early?”

Qiu Ruxin said in surprise.

Could it be that she had done something big again somewhere behind my back during the night and had only just returned?

”What kind of look is that? Do I look like someone who would look for trouble for no reason?”

Seeing Qiu Ruxin’s expression, I chuckled and asked in return.

Although Qiu Ruxin didn’t say anything, her eyes said a lot.

”No... I guess...”

Qiu Ruxin said, her eyes avoiding mine.

Coupled with the nickname ”Calamity Witch” for Big Sis Xiao Han, this sentence sounded insincere no matter how it was said.

”I went out to practice physical arts, don’t overthink it. I also meditated earlier. How is your progress with the Witch Meditation Method?”

”Uh... I still have no clue...”

Qiu Ruxin scratched her head, feeling a sense of guilt as if she was being checked on her homework.

”Since you haven’t, then you should study more. After becoming a reserve witch, you must persist in the Witch Meditation Method every day. Only with strong mental power can you gain more powerful strength in the transcendent.”

Hearing this result, I was not surprised at all.

After all, the entry threshold for the Witch Meditation Method is a bit high, so it’s not a problem to spend a little more time.

Even in the Witch Academy, those who learn it in just one or two days are geniuses, at least that’s what the seniors said.

Then, with a snap of my fingers, the Illusory Clone appeared by my side again.

Since Qiu Ruxin had nothing to do now, I would just find something for her to do.

Or should I just let her watch TV in the morning?

The morning time should be used to do something important so as not to be wasted.

However, at this moment, I was also attracted by the TV program that was currently on.

There were not many TV programs in this world.

Because the Secret Diggers had disrupted this world, the development of entertainment and other activities was a bit slow.

There were not many channels on TV, and there were not many variety shows.

The channel Qiu Ruxin was watching had already started broadcasting the news.

I also watched this news broadcast with great interest.

This was probably how ordinary families learned about world news.

As I expected, today’s news urgently reported the global Plant Network disconnection that occurred in the early morning.

And they did indeed, as I had guessed, state that this was the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree’s second lease of life under the careful care of the maintenance staff, and that they were carrying out Plant Network maintenance and upgrades, and so on.

In the end, they also praised the hardworking maintenance staff for their diligent labor.

I have to say, they know how to handle public opinion.

In the end, they also criticized those Secret Diggers, saying that they have been very active recently, and reminded the public to protect their own safety and reduce the number of times they go out...

”Hmm, boring.”

After seeing that the rest of the news was not of interest to me, I turned off the TV and returned to my bedroom.

After last night’s research, I had a new understanding of the Memory Bookshelf Spellbook.

The next step was to try to derive it.

At this point, when I really started to work on it, I finally understood one thing.

Looking back, before I understood spell derivation and extension, I called all my modifications to the spellbook ”modding.”

That was a purposeless act, and whatever I encountered was purely by luck.

At this moment, I finally understood Teacher Ji Niang’s mood at that time.

To be able to derive a spell by fumbling around without a goal was indeed outrageous.

But that was just a basic evocation spell, which was still within an understandable range.

Now, the spellbook I wanted to mod was the Memory Bookshelf Spellbook.

Without a set goal, a detailed plan, a huge reserve, and a cognitive understanding of related knowledge, it was impossible for a miracle to happen.

Trying blindly like I did before would definitely not work.

When I started to combine the Plant Network framework with the spellbook, I also found many problems.

Although many problems had not been solved yet, it was only a matter of time, and I was not worried.

The biggest problem was that after the initial attempt, the effect of the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook derivation did not meet my expectations.

After a whole day of debugging, I also obtained a ”Tree of Knowledge

semi-finished” spellbook.

Because the framework had been built, the rest was to classify and manage the knowledge and memories, which was the most troublesome.

Of course, there was also a very easy choice, and that was to overthrow it and start over, learning everything I had learned once again.

According to the current framework, the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook could automatically screen and summarize this knowledge.

But I would not choose this way.

I would rather classify it slowly by myself.

And a considerable part of the memories and knowledge in my Memory Bookshelf did not come from books.

And in this process, I also encountered a problem, and that was that although this knowledge could be classified and summarized when it was acquired, this was only an advanced version of the Memory Bookshelf, and it was not even worthy of the name ”Tree of Knowledge.”

Because for the Memory Bookshelf Spellbook, even if it was a little more troublesome, I could achieve a similar effect by building multiple bookshelves for storing memories, classifying memories.

So there was no need to go through so much trouble.

The implantation of the Plant Network spell model was just like adding something similar to the Plant Network to manage it systematically.

Just like the problem that the Plant Network is facing now, when the data is too large, it requires a very complete retrieval function, or a retrieval system.

And the people of this world have chosen a method similar to artificial intelligence retrieval.

The main problem is that the role of the currently derived Tree of Knowledge in the linkage between knowledge is still too weak...

At this moment, I fell into deep thought.

I had spent a whole day.

If the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook was derived to this state, to be honest, I was very dissatisfied.

Although it was indeed greatly superior to the previous Memory Bookshelf Spellbook, as long as it did not meet my expectations, it still needed more work.

The next period of time, I spent all my time organizing knowledge.

This was a long and tedious process, just like when I was learning this knowledge, I also spent a lot of time.

Now, calming down and slowly settling down, organizing this knowledge and memory is also a process of reviewing it once again.

And I can also sort out useless memories or knowledge.

Perhaps I should also set up a temporary memory partition for the Tree of Knowledge spell.

The importance of some memories is time-sensitive.

When they are useless, they can be appropriately cleared out.

Otherwise, they will occupy my energy and may even interfere with my thinking at important moments.

After all, no one likes to have other memories pop up in their mind at a critical moment of thinking, just like having a brainwashing song in your head instead of the answer during an important exam.

This is serious memory junk that needs to be cleared.

So, the method of forgetting must be given equal importance.

After all, the things that the Memory Bookshelf spellbook can record are limited.

Even if I have derived it into a Tree of Knowledge, it theoretically still has an ”upper limit.”

And compared to the Memory Bookshelf itself, it has more advantages.

The Tree of Knowledge is constantly developing, with thoughts and knowledge like constantly extending branches and leaves.

I closed my eyes, and in my mind, the consciousness space where the Tree of Knowledge was located appeared.

Before, when I was looking at the Memory Bookshelf, it was just a monotonous row of bookshelves.

But now, it had become a large tree, but the large tree was very withered at this moment.

There were not even any leaves on it.

But I knew very well that these extended branches were my classification of knowledge and memory.

I needed to use memory and knowledge as nutrients to water this Tree of Knowledge, and it would eventually grow new branches and leaves on its branches.

At this moment, even without me actively classifying the unsorted knowledge and memories, the roots spreading out from under the Tree of Knowledge had already begun to slowly take root in them, beginning to absorb the legacy left behind in the Memory Bookshelf.

However, this speed was very slow.

Without my intervention, it would take an unknown number of years to be passively organized and perfected.

So, my personal intervention is very necessary.

And this kind of self-precipitation directly took me more than six full days.

When I had classified and fed all the memories and knowledge to the Tree of Knowledge, the Tree of Knowledge had completely changed its appearance at this moment.

Looking at this Tree of Knowledge, and its lush leaves woven from memory and knowledge, I got goosebumps all over my body because of the sense of accomplishment at this moment.

This feeling of changing myself through my own efforts is really too satisfying!

And after so many days of calm precipitation and review of knowledge, I also realized one thing.

That is, the so-called derivation is not a very rigorous stage.

It can still be constantly optimized.

Just like during this period, I also had a new plan for the Tree of Knowledge.

If the ”Flexible Learning and Application” spell is also ”merged” into the Tree of Knowledge, wouldn’t that be perfect?

The effect of the Flexible Learning and Application spell, which stimulates the association between memories and knowledge, and the linkage between subjective thoughts and objective knowledge, is simply amazing!

But this is also just an idea.

The Flexible Learning and Application Spellbook is another independent spellbook.

Not to mention whether the linkage between multiple spellbooks is feasible, I’m not very clear about it.

If I were to dismantle the Flexible Learning and Application Spellbook, I would not be very willing.

So I am preparing to start again from the revelation in [Transcendent Knowledge].

Because the Flexible Learning and Application spellbook is too compatible with the Tree of Knowledge derivative spell.

This is my subjective cognition, and now I lack an objective theory to support me to combine them.

If I were to force this, it’s not impossible.

Perhaps by the time this small world collides with the main world, I might have some clues.

It can be said that it is a thankless task.

Compared to that, I still prefer a more clever method.

So, for the next period of time, I am preparing to ”travel around the world” to see if I can get any more revelations from the Myriad Connection Main Network Trees around the world.

As for those countries hiding their Myriad Connection Main Network Trees so that no one can find them, it’s simply a joke to me.

When I took control of that main Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, I directly controlled the Plant Network, and also indirectly controlled the root network that spreads all over the world to build the Plant Network.

So I can easily deduce the precise location of those Myriad Connection Main Network Trees in this world from this.

I’m afraid they never thought that my understanding of the Plant Network is now higher than theirs, right?

Perhaps their application of the Plant Network is richer than mine after so many years of accumulation, but who let me deal a dimensional reduction strike to them?

I don’t care how many tricks you can play with its application.

I’ll just use the highest permission and directly shut it down.

And regarding my idea of traveling around the world, I also briefly mentioned it to Qiu Ruxin.

This trip around the world is of course not only for testing those Myriad Connection Main Network Trees, but also to practice the saying ”read ten thousand books, travel ten thousand miles.”

And this can also increase my knowledge and broaden my horizons, and witness the scenery I have never seen before.

The improvement of knowledge is indeed beneficial to the accumulation of foundation.

This is also an interpretation of balancing work and rest.

Ever since I entered the Witch Academy, I have been constantly forcing myself to study, without stopping for a moment.

Even if I had the idea of relaxing to rest, sleep, play, etc., at that time, my mind was full of how long this rest period would last, and what I would do after.

In the past, I couldn’t learn well, and I couldn’t play to my heart’s content.

I was indecisive in doing things.

This was completely making my life a mess.

Even if on the surface it was planned very orderly, that was just the surface.

This was a deeper level of self-deception, a high degree of irresponsibility to oneself.

To be unable to focus on one thing, that is truly pathetic.

Perhaps the phrase ”unable to concentrate on studying” is nothing, and perhaps most people are used to it.

But to put it another way, ”unable to concentrate on playing,” this statement reflects a person’s sadness.

I plan to continue like this, to travel, to see, to learn, to reflect.

If I play, I’ll play well.

If I study to complete the Tree of Knowledge Spellbook, I’ll seriously complete it.

The lack of enjoyment in playing is caused by the uncertainty of the future, because you don’t know if you can do it again in the uncertain future after this time.

People have a compensation mentality.

This compensation mentality makes even the self who has enjoyed themselves to the fullest this time still unsatisfied.

This thought will constantly occupy one’s own thoughts, and even harm one’s own body.

So, I want to take this opportunity to completely solve this problem.

Isn’t this behavior also a practice of the spiritual realm of the unity of knowledge and action?

This time, I also took Qiu Ruxin with me when I left.

Otherwise, I would be very worried about her safety if I left her here.

More importantly, I still need her Tear of Frenzied Growth, this transcendent item, for the revelation of [Transcendent Knowledge].

Now I’m very open-minded.

Perhaps I have the qualification to touch this [Transcendent Knowledge], but if I want to completely study the Grand Spellbook, I’m not qualified yet.

So all my efforts during this period are to use this [Transcendent Knowledge] to improve myself.

The Grand Spellbook is too far away for me.

Only what I can hold in my hand at this moment is mine.

”Um... Big Sis Xiao Han, this is a round-the-world travel guide I made based on the global positioning of the Myriad Connection Main Network Trees you provided. I think it should be very helpful to us.”

”Hmm? You made it yourself?”

I was a little surprised.

Although I already had a plan to travel around the world, a specific plan, travel routes, accommodation, and other guides are still very necessary.

”I searched... on the Plant Network these past few days, and compared many round-the-world guides. It should... not be a big problem.”

”Thank you, I’ve troubled you.”

”No trouble, no trouble. It’s my honor to be able to travel around the world with Big Sis Xiao Han!”

Qiu Ruxin said excitedly.

”Is that so? But our round-the-world trip may be terminated at any time, you know?”

After all, I am very clear that the void exploration team that the Academy Head mentioned before will be here in about a month.

Many days have passed now.

Perhaps their arrival will have a slight time deviation, but when they arrive, I will definitely go to greet them.

As the first person to arrive in this world, oh no, is a reserve witch, I naturally have to introduce the current situation to those teachers and Academy Heads.

Of course, this is not me looking for trouble, but... to see the shocked expressions of those Transcendent Witches when they see that there is a ”wild reserve witch” here.

Isn’t that more fun?

”Yes, yes, I understand. Big Sis Xiao Han, you are referring to the teachers of the Witch Academy, right?”

Qiu Ruxin nodded, her eyes also carrying a hint of expectation.

The mentors of the Witch Academy, and even the Academy Head, are coming.

Then wouldn’t she be able to go to the Witch Academy in advance and escape this ”sea of suffering”?

”Yes, so plans can’t keep up with changes. It’s enough that you can make the travel guide to this extent.”

I said with a smile, my tone also carrying a hint of praise.

At this time, I also fell into a slight thought.

I wonder when Big Sis Bai will be back.

I also want to travel around the world with Big Sis Bai...

But when I really have this opportunity, I must go to a bigger world with Big Sis Bai for a round-the-world... no, the scope is still too small.

I want to go on a void tour of various worlds with Big Sis Bai!

Of course, that will have to wait until I have the corresponding strength.

After all, the environment in the void is extremely dangerous.

How can I venture into the void without some strength?

Maybe I will be forced to end the journey just by encountering a random world.
