Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 403: Game?

After placing Qiu Ruxin’s gem pendant into my Storage Equipment, I began attempting to attach my Reverse Summoning Spell’s Summoning Rune to an object.

This was no simple matter of using a Solidified Spell to set up a temporary arrangement in the room.

That kind of method was not long-lasting.

It would fail for various reasons within a few days or would be a one-time use.

How could I trust that?

Therefore, I wanted to utilize other means, such as... Alchemy.

In an unknown world.

”Customer service! How many days have I been waiting at home for your feedback! Why can’t I log into my account? It just shows an anomaly when I try to log in. Do you know how much money I’ve spent on this trash game? I’m a respected V3 Member!”

A young man was currently lying in a huge, sci-fi-style capsule chamber.

The half-open door of the capsule revealed his angry face.

A semi-transparent floating window in front of him displayed ”Communicating.”

”We are very sorry, respected V3 Explorer sir. Our records show that your account in ’Star of Sin’ has been permanently terminated due to improper operation. Myriad Worlds Terminal reminds you not to interact with malicious bugs or system exploits during gameplay. Our records show this is the first time you have encountered this situation, and your credit rating is good. Myriad Worlds Terminal will not pursue further action against you for damaging public property.”

”Bullshit! It’s your trash game that has a ton of bugs! I encountered a hidden quest! Do you understand? And you’re blaming me? What kind of logic is that! Huh?”

”You only have the right to use the various game platforms provided by Myriad Worlds Terminal. We only provide you with game services. The account and its virtual data are all public property. Myriad Worlds Terminal is providing you with intelligent legal popularization.”

”Get me a human customer service representative!”

”The problem you are currently facing has not yet reached the level that requires transfer to a human customer service representative...”

”I don’t care! My brother-in-law is a game architect!”

The young man said angrily.

”We are sending you a personal information permission confirmation. After identity verification, we can transfer you to the required...”

”Stop, stop, stop!”

He quickly interrupted after hearing the damned intelligent reply was serious.

If he disturbed his brother-in-law over this, he would probably be skinned alive by his older sister.

After ending the call with customer service, he still lay in the capsule, sulking.

But at this moment, his mind was filled with the image of the powerful girl he had encountered in the game a few days ago.

She called herself the Calamity Witch and was a traveler from another world!

This was a classic hidden quest!

Now that his account was suddenly terminated, he was itching to know more.

He had been writing guides for the game ”Star of Sin” these past few days, but they were more for showing off.

The game ”Star of Sin” was known as a 100% realistic open-world game, with all players sharing a large open map.

Any quest or hidden story was non-repeatable, and quests could even be intercepted by other players.

He had gotten the game account for ”Star of Sin” through his brother-in-law’s connections.

Game accounts issued by Myriad Worlds Terminal were not easily registered.

They had a limited number of slots, especially when the game was first released.

Some games even had single-digit slots, and only true top-tier gamers were granted a game license.

The so-called Member class was divided from V1 to V10.

This was not a simple level-up through recharging.

Only by reaching a certain recharge threshold and a certain game contribution standard could one advance.

Although ”Star of Sin” was an old game that had been released for decades, its riddle-like clearance conditions had not been met by anyone to this day.

Even when a top-tier player and his team had once instigated a world-class war, dragging many countries in the game into the conflict and almost turning the entire world into a true ”Star of Sin,” they failed to meet the clearance conditions.

This showed the difficulty of clearing the game.

The official bounty for clearing this game was now astronomical!

It was no longer just about the money, but about the Member level promotion!

An unconditional promotion of two upper-level classes!

The temptation was such that even those who knew they couldn’t complete it would yearn for it.

This was a leap in social class!

At this moment, the young man thought and thought, and finally vented his anger on the capsule door in front of him.

Then, the image of the hidden quest appeared in his mind again.

He finally couldn’t swallow his anger and directly pulled up a transparent display screen, opening his contact list.

He was going to contact his brother-in-law.

After all, contacting his brother-in-law privately and being transferred through Myriad Worlds Terminal were two completely different things!

Although he couldn’t guarantee that his brother-in-law would help him get his account back, at the very least, he was reporting a nasty bug, which could be considered providing a performance metric for his brother-in-law.

”Hello... hello? Brother-in-law?”

”Mofei? Why are you calling me at this hour? Didn’t I tell you not to bother me unless it’s important!”

An impatient voice came from the other side.

”Bro... brother-in-law, I really have something to talk to you about this time! For real! It’s not about a game this time!”

”Go on...”

Hearing the sincerity in his voice, the man called ”brother-in-law” also calmed down and asked, ”If it’s not important, your sister will deal with you when she gets back!”

”Of course, of course! Um... brother-in-law, do you remember the ’Star of Sin’ game account you gave me earlier?”

”What? Did something happen?”

”Um... brother-in-law, I encountered a hidden quest in that game, and then my account was forcibly terminated. Is this some kind of bug? There wasn’t even a system prompt.”

”Hidden quest? Your account was terminated?”

The man’s voice raised an octave upon hearing this news, as if he had heard something incredible.

”Yes... yes... but, but Myriad Worlds Terminal didn’t come after me! Really! I didn’t cause any trouble...”

He repeatedly emphasized that he hadn’t caused any trouble.

His brother-in-law’s voice had changed, and he was now regretting calling him.

”What hidden quest did you encounter? Tell me in detail, don’t leave out a single detail! Quick!”

”Huh?”

Hearing his brother-in-law say this, he was also a bit stunned.

He thought he had really caused trouble.

”Um, brother-in-law, this hidden quest, could it be a special...”

”Don’t ask what you’re not supposed to ask! Did you hear me! Hurry up and tell me the process!”

The man’s voice was unquestionable, with a hint of urgency.

Hearing this reaction, the young man quickly realized that he had really helped his brother-in-law in a big way.

Maybe... he could even get a limited-edition game license from his brother-in-law.

The thought was exhilarating.

After briefly explaining the situation to his brother-in-law, the young man sighed in relief, finally getting it off his chest.

Although the whole incident was just about encountering a girl who called herself the Calamity Witch, and then the girl used some strange method to get him disconnected.

”Um... brother-in-law... that rumor couldn’t be true, could it? AI awakening in the game, NPCs...”

”You’ve gone through compulsory education. How can you still believe that? I understand your situation now. The rest is none of your business.”

”Eh? Wait! Brother-in-law, my game account... can you pull some strings... and unban it? Haha...”

”Unban it? You’re lucky they didn’t hold you responsible! Don’t even think about getting your account unbanned. You can’t even touch this game anymore. What a hassle. I’ll get you another game account later. Don’t bother me.”

After saying this, the brother-in-law directly hung up, not giving the young man any room to plead.

Looking at the ”call ended” interface, the young man’s mind was filled with ”don’t even think about getting your account unbanned!”

Without an account, what was the point of a hidden quest?

He was heartbroken at this moment!

Perhaps this hidden quest was the breakthrough for ”Star of Sin”!

But fantasy was fantasy.

Since even his brother-in-law was powerless, he naturally knew he had no chance.

To make up for this loss, he opened a game guide forum he frequently visited.

This time, he was going to write a new quest guide!

And it was a hidden quest guide!

Although he had been punished, a hidden quest opportunity would drive countless people crazy.

So, he directly set it to be viewable for a fee, and the title was the keyword ”hidden quest.”

Since he had no chance, he might as well make a quick buck now.

Maybe someone else would find that ”Calamity Witch” and get sanctioned too.

If a top-tier player completed this hidden quest, he might even be able to build a relationship with them.

After all, he was the first discoverer of the hidden quest, and many details were only known to him.

Although he didn’t actually know any details, he was very good at making things up!

He was a pretty experienced guide writer with a fan base.

Soon, an article titled ”’Star of Sin’ Game Suddenly Reveals Hidden Quest, Calamity Witch May Become Main Quest Breakthrough!” appeared on this popular forum, attracting a large number of onlookers.

”What is this? The fee is so high? Is he crazy for money?”

”I thought ’Star of Sin’ was a very ordinary game. How is it related to the Calamity Witch?”

”That’s right. This is a game with an Alien Tech side civilization open world. The style is completely wrong, isn’t it?”

”The person upstairs seems to know a lot. Could it be a top-tier player with a game license?”

”A humble launch player.”

”Top-tier player! My respects!”

”Old man! Since you’re a launch player and so old, hurry up and give me your account to play!”

”Is there anyone with enough guts to pay and see what’s inside?”

”I’m the sucker. This guy is a scammer.”

”A scammer? I’m out...”

”The person upstairs is an idiot. The one trying to dissuade you must be hiding the real thing and not wanting to share. Use your brain.”

”Are you an idiot? He’s saying that on purpose so he won’t be the only one who got scammed.”

”Alright, alright, so you’re playing games like this? Do I look like I’m short on that kind of money?”

”If you don’t want the money, you can give it to me. I’m short...”

The young man looked at the comments that appeared with every refresh and the notifications of money coming in.

He was ecstatic.

But when he thought of the reward for clearing the game, he instantly felt a sense of emptiness...

Although he knew he didn’t have the ability to clear the game, he had that wishful thinking.

He wondered who would get lucky with this quest.

He hoped that person would also be wiped out by that Calamity Witch!

He jumped out of the game capsule.

After arguing with customer service and getting reprimanded by his brother-in-law, he was no longer in the mood to play games.

He waved his hand, and a video opened.

The default interface played the current news, and he was planning to catch up on some anime.

”The Truth Protection Association has once again committed organized crimes to interfere with the National Strategy Team, causing significant resource losses. We once again call on everyone: game data is virtual. Please do not over-indulge in the virtual world and achieve your selfish goals by harming the interests of others...”

***

In the Small World.

After several days of research, I finally completed the production of this alchemy item using Alchemy!

Although the only effect of this alchemy item was to automatically use a set rune to unfold a summoning ritual, you couldn’t say it was useless, right?

And to allow Qiu Ruxin, who was still an ordinary person, to use it, I also created a ”rechargeable” structure.

But this structure was somewhat unstable, so even I didn’t know how many times it could be used.

I had originally thought of adding some automatic recharging function, but I found that achieving this was a bit difficult.

Although not impossible, it would take up more of my time, which was not worth it.

Looking at the small object in my hand, which was now an alchemy item, it was just a decoration from a hotel guest room.

”Let’s test the effect.”

I gently squeezed it with my fingers and shook it slightly.

Transcendent Energy immediately radiated from it, and a rune appeared on it.

Then, a complex ritual pattern was outlined around it.

I no longer hesitated and threw it casually.

It fell into a spatial channel.

Feeling the anchor point that had been teleported elsewhere, the clear ”coordinates” were captured by me.

This was the phenomenon of the ritual unfolding and resonating with the Reverse Summoning Spell.

I also beckoned, and the Reverse Summoning Spell was cast.

A force enveloped and dragged me, and the spell summoning circle under my feet shone brightly.

The difference between the Reverse Summoning Spell and the Teleportation Spell was evident here.

After casting the Teleportation Spell, I could choose whether to teleport or what to teleport.

But for the Reverse Summoning Spell, once the spell was cast and ”captured” by the spell effect, I would ”be” summoned.

This process was irresistible, and if I strongly resisted, I might even fall into a spatial current.

The next moment, my figure appeared on the top floor of this hotel.

And the decoration was right in the center of the summoning ritual under my feet.

I immediately picked it up.

It seemed to be a success.

Even such a fragile decoration from a hotel guest room could withstand this method of refinement.

Qiu Ruxin’s pendant should be fine as well.

Thinking this, I beckoned again, and a Teleportation Channel appeared in front of me.

After passing through, I returned to my guest room.

Indeed, this spell was much more convenient for short-distance teleportation.

As for the Reverse Summoning Spell, its effect was truly useless.

The only highlight... was probably that it could cross the Void and travel between two worlds.

I sat down again at the table that had become my workbench and took out the green pendant Qiu Ruxin had given me earlier.

But as the pendant fell into my hands and I examined it carefully for the first time, I suddenly noticed something was wrong!

”What’s going on... Spirit Vision is...”
