Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 423: Journey and Harvest

With that thought, a journey that started on a whim began.

On this journey, I did not use a flying broom to travel, nor did I use teleportation.

Instead, I used the special transportation of this world in a very down-to-earth manner.

Although this was not a world I was familiar with, the development of transportation had some similarities.

After all, their functions were similar, and it was impossible to design them in a flashy way, because these designs needed to consider a very important thing, and that was funding.

Almost all the technological creations in this world were driven by Earth Energy, including the Earth Energy engine loaded in the car I was in.

According to my understanding of the history of this world, they had initially discovered the transcendent energy of Earth Vein Energy, but they chose the wrong direction and could not use this energy in the early stages.

Later, they invented the Earth Vein Energy conversion technique, converting it into Earth Energy, and then began to develop Earth Vein Energy on a large scale.

After understanding the characteristics of Earth Energy, I lost much interest in it.

Because the birth of Earth Energy meant that they had lowered the threshold for using Earth Vein Energy through some technique.

After all, this world was on the technology side.

If they had deviated a little and gone to the magic side, it would not have been so difficult for them to use Earth Vein Energy.

But now that technology has developed to a point where many things have already taken shape, the use of Earth Energy will not be changed so easily.

After all, a civilization cannot be changed drastically because of the theories of a few people.

That would be a disaster for everyone.

In the beginning, as Earth Energy was fully utilized, the prototype of the Plant Network was born.

The speed at which the concept of the Plant Network was born was so fast that I couldn’t believe it.

So I guessed that the conversion technique of Earth Energy might also be related to the Tear of Frenzied Growth.

But there is one thing I do not deny, and that is that those geniuses in history, each of them was a once-in-a-lifetime talent who ”created” these skills from scratch.

Although the emergence of Earth Energy promoted the birth and development of the Plant Network, the use of Earth Energy was far more than that.

But compared with the Plant Network, the development process of those technological creations had a sense of being a whole era behind.

You can’t blame them.

If it weren’t for the Secret Diggers in this world, the technology of this world might have developed even faster.

After all, you can’t expect a group of people whose job is to play games to release their inspiration, create art, promote social development, guide the Renaissance, and spread scientific skills in the game.

They will only transfer the resentment of their work to the game.

The moment the game becomes work, it has already lost its original joy, and the Secret Diggers have become very dangerous, and need to vent their emotions everywhere.

But all of this has little to do with me.

I was sitting in the car, feeling the bumps on the road and the scenery flashing by the window.

I found that I had been in this world for a long time, but I had not properly understood this world.

This world not only has violence and darkness, but also novelty and beauty.

Even with the existence of the Secret Diggers, ordinary people still live on tenaciously.

Perhaps... I have lived in a peaceful society for two lifetimes, making all this seem natural.

But the more you are at the bottom, the more you can create unexpected beauty, because those who cannot adapt to such an environment will only perish in this environment.

The first stop of our journey required us to go abroad, not only because the country of Lanath Island was very small, but also because this country only had that one main Myriad Connection Main Network Tree.

Even Qiu Ruxin, a local, was at a loss when asked about any attractions worth visiting here.

Perhaps she knew some bustling commercial districts, but these did not meet my expectations.

Lanath Island is a peninsula, located in a corner of the continent.

The surrounding national forces are very monolithic, and it is not a strategic place, nor is it a place rich in Earth Vein Energy.

So the geographical environment is very ”peaceful,” at least apart from the reasons of the Secret Diggers, this country has not experienced the baptism of war for a long time.

So our first stop was not to go to sea, but to start our journey from the inland.

And on this journey, I also began to try to learn other languages of this world.

Of course, learning them was not the goal.

I learned other common languages here just to learn the connections between different languages.

Language is something used for communication.

Different languages have their own characteristics, and they also have commonalities.

I was trying to summarize a way to learn languages quickly.

Of course, I was also using this way to quickly adapt to and practice the effect of the ”Tree of Knowledge” spell.

It was also in preparation for my possible travels to other worlds in the future.

Didn’t you see that before my first year at the Witch Academy was even over, I had already crossed worlds for ”friendly” exchanges?

So this can be considered planning for a rainy day.

In fact, learning multiple languages is more importantly about summarizing learning methods.

Languages have learning methods for languages, and other aspects of knowledge also require corresponding learning methods.

It can be considered learning by analogy and accumulating one’s own cognition.

The journey proceeded in an orderly manner, and the research on the Myriad Connection Main Network Tree did not stop.

I originally thought that I could find some related revelations on this, but in the end, I found that this was just a shoddy replica of the main Myriad Connection Main Network Tree, with no innovation at all.

Sure enough, once you are far from the range radiated by the transcendent item that Qiu Ruxin possessed, there are no more revelations related to this [Transcendent Knowledge], and naturally, there are no unexpected gains that would surprise me.

But I was still not discouraged, nor did I change my plan, because this time, I really wanted to relax well.

I didn’t have to consider many things on this trip.

To sum it up, it was a process of playing and learning.

Playing is to release the body and mind, and learning is to broaden one’s horizons and accumulate cognition.

Of course, the derivative and perfection of the Tree of Knowledge is also a part of learning, but my use of [Transcendent Knowledge] has deviated from its original purpose.

From the very beginning, I was not studying it entirely for its own sake.

So, the progress of the derivative related to the Tree of Knowledge being stuck was not beyond my expectations.

I was just making various attempts at will.

But I was surprised to find that even with such occasional attempts, the ideas that came out of these unintentional collisions were actually faster than when I was racking my brains.

At this time, I had to pay attention to my own condition.

Sure enough, only when the body and mind are completely relaxed can more things be done.

After experiencing such things, I also understood the meaning of the phrase ”I have the ability to do anything, but I am limited by myself.”

Perhaps I am like this, but I have always been coerced by a faint pressure, delayed by various trivial matters, and painstakingly trying to overcome my lack of self-confidence.

But now, I have truly experienced what it means to be more wrong the more you think, and more right the more you do.

Because there is no right or wrong in action, but my brain will divide it into right and wrong.

Predicting things that have not happened is our instinctive ability, but it is also a shackle that binds ourselves.

Perhaps I have long since severed the Earth Vein Chains of the main world, but I have not yet severed the shackles on my thoughts.

This is the true meaning of what Big Sis Bai said to me back then, that I was thinking too much.

I have used two lifetimes to prove that my way of doing things is to drill into a huge dead end, and now... I am using this way to tell myself that I should stop.

When all this is put down, this is my transformation, and it will also be a turning point in my life.

In the blink of an eye, half a month had passed.

In this relatively long period of time, I had been to more places than in my two lifetimes combined, but for the entire plan of a round-the-world trip, it was only a short time since the beginning.

During this period, I also saw many magnificent scenes, beautiful scenery, and witnessed the power of nature.

I also passed through countries that were still at war, with countless casualties... and the Secret Diggers who were fanning the flames everywhere.

Or rather, on this journey, I could see those Secret Diggers everywhere.

They were even more crazy than the guys I had seen before, and their actions were even more unscrupulous.

Although I was on a journey, on the Plant Network I controlled, I could see that the international situation had become tense because of the madness of these Secret Diggers.

It was not my illusion that the Secret Diggers had become rampant.

It felt as if they were having a final carnival, and the facts were just as I had guessed.

What’s more, those Secret Diggers were not offline.

After my information filtering, those players might be facing one thing... and that is ”server shutdown.”

This really made me very curious.

Are they just giving up on this world like this?

Or do they think that this world has no more value to be excavated?

They haven’t even discovered the most crucial [Transcendent Knowledge].

I still don’t know what they came to this world for.

Invading a world is nothing more than plundering resources.

So many Secret Digger players, I haven’t found out if they have transported the resources of this world away through some channel.

Apart from this [Transcendent Knowledge], the other things in this world are essentially worthless.

Transporting a batch of materials from this world to their world might not even be enough for the shipping fee.

It can’t be that they are really just here to play, right?

And... I also found a problem, a problem that I hadn’t paid attention to before, until it happened in front of me during my journey.

At first, I thought that those players were controlling a body through destiny, so people with a thread of destiny on them were Secret Diggers.

But reality told me that not all of them were.

People with a thread of destiny might not be Secret Diggers, but containers, containers for those players to descend.

Before their consciousness was occupied by the Secret Diggers, they were no different from ordinary people.

Once a player logged in, that person would die completely.

Even if those players ”logged off,” that person would not recover.

They could only become a shell with life activities but no consciousness.

And I realized this, also because of a coincidence.

At that time, in a car I was riding on, the person in front of me had always been unremarkable, even excessively ordinary, but I saw a thread of destiny on him.

Until a certain moment, he seemed to have become a different person.

After a brief period of adaptation, he directly took on the role.

Then... then he completely blew up the car I was in.

He was like the most ruthless executioner, slaughtering the people in this car in the most violent way.

As for his fate, he was naturally brought to justice by me on the spot.

I don’t know why they want to kill people.

Maybe they do it for fun, or for other reasons.

I only know that at the end of that journey, I took Qiu Ruxin to a place with a station on a broom, and then continued my journey.

Yes, continue.

This matter did not stop, nor did it disturb my good mood.

Nothing can hinder my journey, nor will it disturb my enthusiasm, because when I no longer treat them as enemies, I will not let my emotions fluctuate violently because of anything they do.

So their existence also became an interlude in my journey, adding fun to my dull journey.

”Server-closing carnival... this is really boring.”

I sighed a little.

They would mess up this world and then leave.

This style of doing things is somewhat similar to mine, but I have the strength to retreat completely, but these guys... may not necessarily be able to.

I feel it’s time to add some spice to them.

Following the appearance of my Reverse Summoning Spell’s summoning ritual on that Myriad Connection Main Network Tree earlier.

This strange phenomenon immediately attracted those Secret Diggers at that time, and they scrambled to discover the secret in it.

In the end, they found that this so-called secret was the unknown rune I had given to those survivors back then.

This immediately made many Secret Diggers believe in it deeply, because in the following period of time, there were successive examples of successfully reproducing my summoning ritual.

But so far, none of them have appeared in an unknown area, and they are all within the scope of this small world.

So it will be difficult for me to use this method to invade that world in reverse.

They will not try this rune ritual in reality at all.

Perhaps I should use the most direct way, breaking the fourth wall of those players, so that those Secret Diggers will also study this reverse summoning ritual in their reality.

After just a little thought, I had a rough idea in my mind.

Based on my current understanding of that unknown civilization, they seem to have mastered transcendent skills, but it is most likely completed with the help of [Transcendent Knowledge].

And what they show overall is a technological civilization, and they have some understanding of spells, but not much.

They would even be surprised by a Fireball.

Just from this point, many things can be analyzed.

Perhaps... I can try to release some research on spells to them and see how it goes?

And use this to disguise it as the hidden secret of this world.

Although this method has no technical content, I don’t need to do my best.

Casting a wide net and catching more fish.

They can miss countless times, but I only need one little fool to complete the ritual according to my idea, and that world will be completely exposed.

As for how to spread this news... that is naturally through the Plant Network for targeted dissemination.

With me in control of the Plant Network, it is very easy for me to guide public opinion.

As long as I test out their interest in spells and runes, and then connect it to the reverse summoning ritual I released earlier, they will always try it.

Curiosity is the best thing to take advantage of them.

Perhaps... I can try to find the Truth Protection Association again.

This is worth a try.

Anyway, it won’t hurt, right?

...

And now, what I care more about is the arrival of the exploration team from the Witch Academy.

According to the Academy Head, the exploration team should be arriving around this time.

After they arrive here, they can transmit the information here back to the Witch Academy.

If all this had happened without me as an accident, things would probably develop like this.

I just don’t know if this exploration team has brought along those guys from the other Transcendent Academies.

Probably... not.

I smiled and shook my head, putting all these baseless guesses aside and continuing to enjoy the comfort of my journey.

By the way, I also began to carry out my public opinion guidance in a step-by-step manner, with those Secret Diggers as my target.

And... I also have to speed up.

The information I got from them, they are also approaching the node of the server shutdown.

If I don’t act against them soon, it will be too late.

I will be so upset if they run away.

If at this time, the mentors and Academy Heads of the Witch Academy were to arrive, that would be great.

Then I wouldn’t have to go through so much trouble.

I could just ”complain” to those Academy Heads and mentors directly.

I have no doubt about the power of the Transcendent Witches.

They should have powerful enough means to completely break through that world.

That way, the achievement of destroying that disgusting civilization would be achieved.
