Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3037: Chapter 3046: Deliberately Making Trouble

The young girl’s face turned white with fear upon hearing how expensive the diamond necklace was. Her legs went weak, and she trembled as she desperately explained with reddened eyes, ”I didn’t break the necklace. Brother Mokey just asked me to hold it for him. I never opened it. I don’t know why the necklace broke later. I really didn’t touch it! I swear! Sister Nicole, believe me, I really didn’t touch the diamond necklace.”

Nicole Oliver’s male assistant immediately pushed her and said discontentedly in a low voice, ”What do you mean, are you saying I broke it myself to frame you? When I handed it to you, I opened the lid to show you it was fine.”

The young girl stumbled and nearly fell from the push, tears welling up as she anxiously explained to those around her, ”I... I don’t know what happened either. I really didn’t touch that necklace. Brother Mokey asked me to hold it for him, so I just kept it in my hand without opening it. I really don’t know...”

”So you’re admitting that the necklace was fine when I gave it to you?” the male assistant pressed aggressively.

The young girl was so frightened that her face turned pale and her lips quivered. She didn’t argue back, ”...it was fine.”

When Mokey opened the box to show her, the necklace was lying there perfectly. She only thought it was beautiful and didn’t think further. Who knew that after just a bathroom break, the necklace would be broken when she checked again. The young girl was bewildered, completely unable to understand how things had turned out this way.

She really hadn’t touched the necklace, always carefully holding the box. Except for when Mokey accidentally bumped into her while coming out of the bathroom, nothing unexpected happened throughout. But even in that unexpected moment, the box containing the necklace in her hand wasn’t knocked down.

She opened her mouth to explain further, ”But I really didn’t touch Sister Nicole’s necklace. Please believe me...”

Of course, Nicole Oliver’s manager knew she hadn’t touched it because the diamond necklace was already broken before it was given to her! The necklace chain was very thin, and hidden by the diamond, as long as the necklace wasn’t taken out, no one would discover that it was broken.

Then they just needed their person to jostle the person holding the box, and the necklace inside would slide due to the person’s vigorous movement, naturally exposing the broken part.

It was actually a very small scheme, but more than enough to frame someone.

The manager gave the male assistant a signal, and he pushed the young girl, who was crying anxiously, again. ”You admitted that the necklace was fine when I gave it to you, but then you said you didn’t touch it. What do you mean? Are you implying I broke Sister Nicole’s necklace to frame you?”

The young girl was already frail and terribly frightened. Being suddenly pushed, this time she was about to crash into the dressing table...

Everyone in the dressing room fell silent. No one wanted to get involved in this mess for a mere assistant. Just then, Olivia Lewis stood up and caught the girl who almost fell. She looked down and asked comfortingly, ”Daisy, are you okay?”

The girl named Daisy burst into tears, feeling both moved and worried about implicating her, and shook her head while crying spasmodically, ”I-I’m okay... Sister Olivia, believe me, I really didn’t touch that necklace.”

Olivia Lewis patted her shoulder, telling her not to cry, and softly said, ”I know.”
