Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3013: Chapter 3022: Enna Clark, Come Here

Five minutes later, in the President’s office of the Lawrence Corporation.

Assistant Terrence had just brewed the coffee and brought it in. Without setting it down, he said to the authoritative and imposing man, ”President Lawrence, there’s a call for you outside. It’s from the President of the Oscar Group. Do you want to take it?”

”Let them transfer it in.” The tall, proud man took off his coat and casually draped it over the leather swivel chair. His sharp features were so handsome they were almost dazzling.

”Yes.” Assistant Terrence placed the specially brewed fruit tea for Enna Clark on the table and whispered to her, ”Young Madam, if you need anything, just let me know, and I’ll bring it in for you.”

”Alright, thank you.”

”Young Madam, you’re too polite.” Assistant Terrence hadn’t seen her in quite a while, and seeing her put him in a good mood. Smiling, he left with the tray.

Not long after, the intercom in the office rang. It was probably the call he had mentioned earlier.

Baron Lawrence picked up the receiver, his gaze fixed in the direction of the sofa, and answered, ”Speak.”

”I’m withdrawing. In three days, I’m holding a press conference to temporarily step down from my position as CEO of the Oscar Group. Is this result satisfactory to you, Young Master Baron?”

It was Oscar’s voice.

Baron Lawrence lowered his hawk-like gaze, suppressing the impatience in his eyes, ”I don’t really care if it’s satisfactory or not. You should be thankful you still have a choice.”

”What do you mean?”

”Didn’t Skye Lawrence tell you that the stocks of the Oscar Group are already under my control?” He was a bit surprised, his thin lips remarking, ”If she didn’t tell you this, how did she convince you to stop?”

”She...” The voice on the other end suddenly became dry and hoarse.

Baron Lawrence didn’t really care about how Skye Lawrence persuaded him, he was just asking casually, ”Forget it, I don’t want to know! But Oscar, remember this. This is the last time. I’m sparing you for the Old Man’s sake. If you court death again, I definitely won’t let you off! Also, if you’re smart enough, don’t play tricks in front of me. I only agreed to Skye Lawrence’s condition to spare you on the premise that you stop. If you make moves behind my back again, don’t blame me for dealing with you and Wesley together!”

He was absolutely not joking.

This time, he spared Oscar, only to give face to the Old Man. The Old Man was also likely giving Skye Lawrence one last chance.

If Oscar sought death again, even if Skye Lawrence went to see the Old Man, the Old Man probably wouldn’t listen anymore.

After a prolonged silence on the other end of the receiver, the hoarse voice said, ”I understand.”

Baron Lawrence hung up the receiver, still feeling a bit displeased. He looked at the small woman on the sofa who had pulled out a book and was preparing to read, suddenly calling out to her like she was a little animal, ”Enna Clark, come over.”

”Hmm?” Enna Clark raised her head from the sofa, looking at him in surprise, lazily unwilling to move, ”Did you finish the call?”

”Come here.” Baron Lawrence continued to beckon, annoyance brewing between his brows.

Enna Clark really didn’t want to move, so she pretended not to hear him, waving the book in her hand, ”I’m reading. Just say what you need to say, I can hear you.”

The way he had been talking on the phone, she probably knew what was going on.

It must have been that Skye Lawrence convinced Oscar to stop, leading to Oscar’s call. Because it involved Skye Lawrence, it made him irritable, prompting him to suddenly call her over.

She knew, but she wasn’t his pet cat, why should she be so obedient?
