Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3004: Chapter 3013: Spending Too Much Money

Upon exiting the cinema, they headed to the mall, and Enna Clark couldn’t resist her urge to splurge in the maternity store, buying a whole heap of children’s clothes.

She still didn’t know if the baby in her belly was a boy or a girl, and couldn’t resist the sales pitch from the store clerk, resulting in buying a good amount of both styles. There were even some sets for boy and girl twins. Nowadays, children’s clothing styles are increasingly adorable, and each piece is cute enough to melt hearts. She liked everything she saw and ended up buying quite a lot without realizing it.

Since she bought gifts for the little bun in her belly, she couldn’t neglect the big and small ones at home, so she went to the children’s clothing store and bought a large heap again. Finally, she went straight to the men’s store to buy a complete set for Baron Lawrence.

It wasn’t until her phone received a text about maxing out her credit card that Enna Clark reluctantly stopped.

The phone call from Mr. Butler followed shortly after.

Enna Clark had bought so much that she couldn’t carry it all, so returning the way she came was out of the question. Baron Lawrence called the driver to pick them up.

She had just gotten into the car when her phone rang with a call from Bobby.

”Hey, Baby.”

The person on the other end sounded like they were ready to explode with anger, asking, ”Woman, didn’t you say you were taking a walk with Dubious Man? Where did you walk to, the bank? Why did my phone receive more than twenty transaction alerts? You nearly spent 150 thousand.”

More than twenty...

Even Enna Clark hadn’t realized she had bought so much until Bobby’s questioning made her aware of how much she had unconsciously purchased. She looked up, feeling upset, at the man who had accompanied her without advising her to stop, feeling embarrassed, ”We went to the mall for a stroll...”

”Why did you spend so much at the mall? Did you buy jewelry?” Bobby was still very distressed, almost to the point of lamenting, ”Woman, at the rate you’re spending, I don’t think I can keep up with you in the future.”

Spending 150 thousand in a little over an hour, who can afford that?

Oh, no, wait. Dubious Man can afford it.

Dubious Man earns 150 thousand an hour.

Bobby felt even more disheartened.

He plans to keep his woman more comfortable than ever in the future. But today, she has flipped her usual frugal style, spending 150 thousand at once, which he’s still not used to.

His heart is bleeding.

Enna Clark herself realized she had spent too much. At first, she only thought of the little one in her belly, not considering much else. She hadn’t bothered to check the prices of those items, completely forgetting that shops Baron Lawrence visited couldn’t possibly be cheap.

”No, I just bought some clothes. Baby, I’ll be more careful next time.” Enna took responsibility with a good attitude.

The Habsden Family doesn’t lack this kind of money, and neither does she, even less Baron Lawrence. Despite growing up as a commoner, she still feels intensely guilty inside.

Bobby paused upon hearing that she had bought clothes, ”Forget it, what’s done is done. Next time I’ll accompany you, and use my card so you can buy what you want.”

”Uh...” This isn’t in line with Bobby’s stingy nature.

The adolescent voice on the other end sounded awkward and buzzing, as if uncomfortable, and said after a long pause, ”You’ve never bought good clothes before, only wore cheap stuff. I’ve been wanting to buy you clothes for a long time.” Who knew Dubious Man spoiled his wife so much, every season when a brand’s new styles are published, all the best limited editions are sent to Birch Garden first.
