Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3023: Chapter 3032: A Resounding Slap in the Face

After a few beautiful women at the reception desk sized each other up regarding their makeup for the day, the most attractive one seized the opportunity to step in front of the others, raised her head, her oval face charming and gentle, and looking at Assistant Terrence with affectionate eyes, she softly said, ”Hello, Assistant. Here’s the thing. Ms. Hanson insists on seeing the President, and we’re really at a loss on how to handle this. Could you help us?”

Assistant Terrence was quite aware that President Lawrence and the President’s wife were observing him from a blind spot at the staircase corner, though they could see the beautiful receptionists fawning over him. He awkwardly coughed, discreetly putting some distance between himself and the stunning lady in front of him, ”What’s so difficult about it? The company rule states that the President doesn’t see anyone without an appointment.”

The other receptionists were secretly pleased to see their most attractive colleague stumped, and another one spoke up before she could, ”Of course we know the rules, and we explained them to Ms. Hanson. But she wouldn’t listen and insisted on seeing the President. Assistant Terrence, what do you think?”

Assistant Terrence glanced at Wendy Hanson, dressed in her Chanel ensemble and meticulously groomed, a trace of annoyance flashing in his eyes. Adhering to a strict business-like attitude, he said meticulously, ”Company rules are company rules. There are so many people outside wanting to see the President. Does it mean because they want to see him, he has to see them?”

What he said was meant for the receptionists, but everyone understood whose face he was actually smacking.

Wendy Hanson’s expression changed, just as she was about to retort sharply.

Before she could do so, Assistant Terrence beat her to it and called the nearby security personnel, ”Take Ms. Hanson out. Remember from now on, no one without a badge is permitted inside the Headquarters!”

The security personnel were reprimanded and quickly surrounded Wendy Hanson, formally saying, ”Ms. Hanson, apologies, please leave.”

This was the Lawrence Group Headquarters, with people constantly coming and going at the reception desk on the first floor. Those passing by witnessed the commotion, glancing in that direction...

Wendy Hanson’s face alternated between shades of green, white, and purple, finally flushed a deep red. She pressed her hand to her chest, took a deep breath, and glared angrily at Assistant Terrence, shouting harshly, ”You dare! I want to see your President Lawrence! Who do you think you are to kick me out!”

Upon hearing this, Assistant Terrence suspected she had gone mad. Embarrassment abounds, yet she insists on staying here. He could only unceremoniously say to her, ”Ms. Hanson, I think you misunderstand me. My reason for asking you to leave isn’t mine; it’s President Lawrence’s. President Lawrence is already married, Ms. Hanson, please have some self-respect!”

Ms. Hanson, please have some self-respect!

Those four words slapped Wendy Hanson’s face resoundingly.

His intention?

Wendy Hanson’s face turned pale, her eyes vacant, tortured by unknown thoughts, she grasped her head in agony.

The security personnel, fearing she might lose control here, quickly coaxed and pulled her out.

Having resolved the issue, Assistant Terrence just turned back to report to Baron Lawrence. Unexpectedly, one of the receptionists hurriedly caught up with him, ”Assistant Terrence! Something’s wrong!”

She just reached Charles Terrence and noticed Baron Lawrence and his companion, pausing, then quickly bowed respectfully to greet them, ”President, Madam.”

Charles Terrence hadn’t seen such an impetuous receptionist before, helplessly rubbing his temples, asking her, ”What is it now?”
