Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1401: Chapter 1401: Enna Clark, don’t you care about how I am? Chapter 1401: Chapter 1401: Enna Clark, don’t you care about how I am? “I’m just outside,” Olivia said.

Baron Lawrence furrowed his brows, his handsomeness utterly unmarred by the gesture, his dissatisfaction intensifying, “Why are you outside? Feeding the mosquitoes?”

Didn’t she know that he was still injured and needed care?

Any other woman would have seized this opportunity to show their devotion, but from the moment he arrived at the villa to when Scott Harris helped him change his bandage, she’d been nowhere in sight.

What was so important outside that she had to stay there for so long?

Aliens or gold?

“No, the manager told me someone was looking for me, so I stepped out for a moment,” Enna replied, pouring him a glass of water and placing it on the table.

The cold man’s chiseled face softened considerably, though he still looked displeased, “Who was it? What did they want?”

“It was Miranda Lewis,” Enna said, without any intention of deceiving him; since it wasn’t a big deal that Miranda had come looking for her, there was no need to hide it.

It was only after she had finished speaking that she realized Baron Lawrence had forgotten the incident in Yluria Country and she added, “Miranda is my cousin.”

Baron Lawrence, hearing it was a woman, relaxed his lips a bit, but he frowned and said with dissatisfaction, “What did she want with you?”

Enna knew that while Miranda said she came for her, she probably wanted to see him instead. She looked at the man before her, helplessly saying, “She doesn’t want to change hotels. She says moving from one to another would disrupt her sleep, and she wanted me to tell you so she wouldn’t have to switch hotels.”

“So pretentious!” Baron snarked sharply.

He then added, “Look, if you don’t want her to switch, that’s fine too.”

Such a trivial matter didn’t concern him at all.

If she was this woman’s cousin, it was no big deal if she stayed.

“I told her that if it really affected her sleep and caused work delays, I could help her call the company to send someone else to replace her,” Enna shifted the subject, “By the way, why hasn’t Adam arrived yet? Mr. Harris said he would be here ten minutes ago.”

From the time they got to the hotel, it must have been half an hour, right?

“He just called, said that Olivia had a bit of trouble, and that he’d be here after picking her up. Scott already helped me change the bandage, I’m fine,” Baron Lawrence explained.

Enna’s attention caught on the earlier part of his statement, suddenly standing up, “Olivia got into trouble? What happened?”

“…” Damn it! Did this woman not care about him at all?

Even though his displeasure had reached a peak, he unusually didn’t lose his temper, saying irritably, “I don’t know. He seemed rushed on the phone and didn’t specify what happened.”

Worried, Enna reached for her phone, “I’ll call Olivia.”

Baron Lawrence finally lost his patience and gripped her wrist tightly, pulling her into his arms, firmly holding the back of her head with such a fiery gaze, it was as if two flames burned in his eyes, he asked through gritted teeth, “Enna Clark, don’t you care about how I am?!”

Enna was confused by his accusation.

What about him?

Wasn’t he fine?

How could he be anything but?

Her stunned reaction only added fuel to the fire, and the proud man pursed his lips, lifted her chin, and leaned down to kiss her—

The kiss, as if laced with fire, seemed poised to burn someone to ashes!

Enna was almost out of breath from the kiss when he finally let her go, biting her lower lip and releasing her, “Go ahead and call!”
