Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1397: Chapter 1397: Wanting to Climb up to Baron Lawrence Chapter 1397: Chapter 1397: Wanting to Climb up to Baron Lawrence Miranda Lewis never expected to run into them here.

She had heard about Enna Clark; it turned out the identity of the illegitimate daughter cousin she had always believed was extraordinary indeed—she was from the Habsden family.

Her fists clenched in secret, filled with both envy and jealousy, with a gleam swirling in her eyes.

“Andie, what are you thinking? I’m not that stupid,” she put on a false smile to appease her manager, who was frowning, then continued, “The girl with Young Master Lawrence is my cousin. I’m not going to see Young Master Lawrence; I just want to meet my cousin.”

She lied with her eyes wide open, “My cousin and I have always been close. If I could use my cousin’s connection to get on good terms with Young Master Lawrence, wouldn’t I be able to call the shots in the entertainment industry?”

Isn’t that what Olivia Lewis is doing, having a sugar daddy behind her, making waves in the entertainment industry, and winning several awards in the past two years?

“You know the girl with Young Master Lawrence?”

Seeing her manager’s expression soften, Miranda persisted, “Yes, she really is my cousin, why would I lie to you?”

“How do you plan to make connections with Young Master Lawrence?” the manager believed her for the time being but still warned her, “Let me tell you, you better not have any crooked ideas. Young Master Lawrence isn’t Director Liu; don’t wreck yourself!”

Miranda snorted internally but explained with due respect on her face, “I’m not going to wreck myself, I just want to look for my cousin and ask her to put in a good word for me with Young Master Lawrence. I just want more work resources, nothing else.”

“I suggest you better not go looking…”

Miranda pressed her shoulder, a helpless look on her face, “My Sister Andie, don’t worry, I really won’t wreck myself, I’m just going to see my cousin. We’ve been close since we were young, and now that she’s here, I have to at least say hello, right?”

“Don’t worry, I know what you’re concerned about. I won’t act rashly.”

With a few words, Miranda convinced her manager, ran to the bathroom to apply makeup, and after finishing, she rummaged through her suitcase for a designer dress. Once she was ready, she happily set out.

The manager helped her pack up on the side, getting ready to move to the neighboring hotel.

As she watched Miranda dress up carefully, the manager couldn’t help but remind her again, “Lily, remember what I told you, just have a chat with your cousin and leave it at that, don’t bother Young Master Lawrence. If you upset him, you won’t like the consequences.”

Miranda’s heart was already out the door, she said while doing so, “I know, don’t worry.”

She also didn’t forget to stop her, “Sister Andie, don’t be too busy packing the suitcase just yet, what if we don’t need to change hotels later?”

The manager frowned but before she could speak, Miranda had already read her thoughts and quickly stepped out, “I’m just saying ‘what if’. I remember everything you told me. You can rest assured.”

“I’m going over now.”

As she said this, afraid her manager might change her mind and not let her go, she left without looking back.

…

Baron Lawrence would certainly stay in the best place at the resort.

And the best place in the Elysion Beach Resort was undoubtedly the villa on the mountainside.

The villa was built halfway up the mountainside, though the slope was not steep, the surroundings were lush with greenery, and the environment was pleasant.

The two sides of the villa closest to the sea were made entirely of glass, offering a 360° unbeatable sea view.

Besides the unbeatable sea views, there was also a private swimming pool in the villa’s courtyard, perfectly positioned between the slope and the sea, fashioned into an infinity pool style.
