Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1377: Chapter 1377: Suddenly Collapsed Chapter 1377: Chapter 1377: Suddenly Collapsed “Baron Lawrence?!” Enna Clark had never expected him to suddenly fall down like this, and her world seemed to collapse at that moment, too. She couldn’t care less about anything else and ran over to him like a maniac.

Her eyes met nothing but the shocking red of blood—on the ground, all over his body.

Only then did Enna notice the knife wounds on his arm, shoulder, and waist, which must have been inflicted while he was holding her.

The most fatal was the injury on the back of his head, where blood kept flowing unstoppably.

It was definitely caused by that chair smash!

“Baron Lawrence, don’t scare me, don’t scare me…” Enna’s mind went blank, her eyes shaking violently as she reached out to press relentlessly on his heart, while trying to feel for his breath with her other hand. Confirming that he was still breathing eased her heart that was about to plummet into hell, allowing her to catch a breath. Biting her lower lip so hard that the taste of blood filled her mouth, she finally managed to calm herself down a bit.

“Right, the cellphone…”

“My cellphone, my cellphone…”

Her cellphone was still in the car; there was still time to make a call.

She needed to call the hospital immediately and get an ambulance here.

Wiping away her tears, she immediately got up and ran towards the car. She finally found her phone, which she had hidden in the corner in advance.

However, just her luck, no matter how much she pressed, the screen wouldn’t light up, as if the battery was dead.

Enna Clark had never known a person could feel so desperate.

No battery… What now?

What should she do now?

Her fingernails dug painfully into her flesh, the throbbing pain in her palms forcing her to compose herself. She didn’t waste any time, pulling out the car seat cushion and running back.

Stopping the bleeding and getting Baron Lawrence to the hospital immediately were the most important things now.

If she couldn’t call for an ambulance, then she’d have to take him to the hospital herself.

She had just run back.

It was at that moment.

One of the men rolling on the ground was trying to get up, “Damn it, trying to run away? Not so easy!”

The man getting up had half of his face swollen and bruised like a pig’s head. He picked up a steel pipe from the ground and, limping, started walking towards Enna and Baron Lawrence.

One of his legs was limp; Enna could definitely have outrun him.

But if she ran, then the person behind her would be completely exposed.

Enna clenched her teeth, picked up a small knife from the ground, crouched down, and pointed it defensively forward, “Don’t come any closer!”

“Ha, you playing with knives? Get out of the way! I don’t want to hit you, move now and you might still be in time!”

“Impossible!”

The man was closing in, laughing coldly, “If you won’t take a toast, you’ll take a forfeit! Don’t blame me for not being polite!”

He let out a shout and suddenly charged at her with increased speed, raising the steel pipe in his hand.

Enna had made up her mind to withstand that blow, searching for an opportunity to stab the man in the chest, prepared to end up in a lose-lose situation rather than let him get close to Baron Lawrence.

Just then.

“Bang!” A gunshot that could shake the eardrums rang out at the entrance of the warehouse.

Following that, the man wielding the steel pipe screamed in agony, dropped the pipe to the ground upon impact, and clutched his profusely bleeding shoulder, rolling on the ground.

“Ah… my hand… my hand…”

Several Lexus cars came into view, and soon, about a dozen men in black stepped out from them, all uniformly dressed and lined up in a row.
