Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1354: Chapter 1354: Wine Spilled on the Sweater Chapter 1354: Chapter 1354: Wine Spilled on the Sweater “So that’s what it means, huh?” Adam Sinclair remarked with a sense of realization, “I didn’t expect Sister Skye to be getting married so soon.”

Baron Lawrence’s brow furrowed once again, his thin lips tightly pressed together, his face expressionless. It was clear to anyone with eyes that he did not want to continue this topic.

Adam, obviously being someone with eyes, subtly changed the subject. He then turned to Rupert Harris, “Terry, how long are you planning to stay this time?”

“About a month.”

“That long?”

“I have some matters to take care of. I’ll go back after I’m done.”

Adam looked at Emily, who was playing joyfully, and knew exactly what matters he needed to take care of.

Then, glancing at the carefree Olivia Lewis, Adam’s head started to ache.

“What about you? When are you planning to go back? I heard Aunt is looking for you,” Rupert flicked the ash from his cigarette and asked.

Adam was silent for a moment, then pursed his lips, “…I’ll go back after a while.”

He was already 28, and his family had started looking for suitable candidates for a wife for him.

What they called ‘looking for him’ was just setting him up on blind dates.

But he had already made his choice, so he was bound to disappoint the expectations of his family.

Adam turned his head again to look at the radiant, carefree woman. His slightly headache eased a lot suddenly.

He curled up the corner of his mouth, gracefully and politely, pouring Olivia a new glass of water and pushing it subtly towards her. Then, he raised his head and met Rupert’s teasing gaze, “I’ll go back after Olivia’s movie is finished.”

By then, he would take Olivia home with him.

Olivia was completely unaware of his thoughts, and just as she got thirsty from the fun, she picked up the water he had just poured and drank it all in one go.

After setting down the glass, she resumed her game with gusto, “Enna, it’s your turn!”

The atmosphere in the large private room was lively, with some playing Monopoly, others chatting away.

It was then that the accident happened.

Enna Clark didn’t know what exactly transpired, but heard a clatter as the man next to her suddenly stood up.

Immediately after, the person sitting to her lower right stood up to apologize, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it wasn’t on purpose, let me get you a tissue!”

When she turned her head, she saw a large stain on Baron Lawrence’s sweater, with droplets still falling.

Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the liquid on his sweater sleeve wasn’t water but colored red wine.

The man sitting next to Baron Lawrence kept apologizing while passing a box of tissues over.

“Young Master Lawrence, I’m really sorry, I didn’t notice that I bumped my elbow and I spilled the wine from the glass. I’m so sorry, let me wipe it off for you,” he said in a fluster, pulling out two tissues from the box and offering to help Baron Lawrence clean it up.

The man with furrowed brows subtly dodged his hand, his thin lips pressed together, “No need.”

He then asked Adam Sinclair, “Where can I change clothes around here?”

“There are rooms upstairs, what’s wrong? You want to go up and change?” Knowing about his mysophobia, Adam immediately said, “Wait, I’ll have a waiter take you there.”

But then he changed his mind and stood up, “Never mind, I’ll take you.”

Baron Lawrence wasn’t in a rush to leave. He looked over to Enna Clark and instructed, “Wait here for me a bit; I have something to discuss with Rupert Harris.”

“Okay.”

Only after Enna agreed did he rise irritably and followed Adam out.

The man who had accidentally spilled the wine on him exchanged a quick, secretive glance with someone across from him, but then they quickly looked away.
