Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1392: Chapter 1392: Reporters are Blocking the Door Chapter 1392: Chapter 1392: Reporters are Blocking the Door He looked nothing like a patient.

Where have you seen a patient so demanding, so domineering?

Baron Lawrence was yelled at by her and at first, was stunned, somewhat slow to react. But he quickly came to his senses, temples on both sides thudding, eyes narrowing, just about to teach this clueless woman a lesson.

Just then.

Scott Harris, who had originally escorted the doctor out, rushed back in, coincidentally meeting his fiery gaze. He mentally lit a candle for himself and, with great trepidation, said, “Lord, a lot of reporters have arrived outside.”

“Reporters? Why are there reporters?” Enna Clark was clueless.

Scott Harris explained with a headache, “It seems some medical staff leaked the news of the Lord’s injury, attracting a swarm of reporters.”

Reporters are not a problem; they can be stopped by security before they get inside.

But after all, a hospital is not a hotel. Even as wealthy as Baron Lawrence is, he cannot book the entire place exclusively.

The trouble lies in the impossibility of preventing other people from seeking medical attention.

Reporters, as a breed, tend to stop at nothing for the sake of news. Some certainly wouldn’t hesitate to disguise themselves as patients in order to infiltrate a hospital!

Once one media outlet got a photo of the Lord, the other media would scramble by any means necessary to get inside.

By then, Lord Baron wouldn’t be talking about recuperating properly. He probably wouldn’t even be able to rest properly.

What’s most fatal is that this hospital doesn’t have a separate VIP Hospital Ward. That means his VIP Hospital Room and the regular wards are all in the Inpatient Department, making it even more difficult for security to distinguish between people.

Enna Clark also thought of what Scott Harris was concerned about and furrowed her brows.

Baron Lawrence’s handsome face was still somewhat pale. He sat up, instructing Scott Harris calmly, “I remember that Elysion has a resort by the sea. Arrange for it to be cleared out. I’ll move there.”

As if knowing what Scott Harris was about to say, he added, “Call Adam Sinclair, tell him the situation, and ask him to come over.”

With Adam Sinclair, a top doctor, on the job, Scott Harris swallowed back the words on the tip of his tongue, and said solemnly, “Yes, Lord, I will arrange it right away.”

Enna Clark watched him unplug the infusion needle from his hand and hurried to support him, saying with concern, “Baron Lawrence, are you alright?”

He had been hit in the back of the head with a chair and also took a few blows in order to protect Enna Clark. Although the knife wounds were in non-fatal areas, to say there was no issue would be a lie. The color drained from Baron Lawrence’s already handsome face, leaving him even paler. If not for his incredibly strong presence, he might have looked even more sickly. He said, unconcerned, “It’s nothing, just a minor injury. It’s not the first time I’ve been hurt.”

But Enna Clark noticed his pale complexion and pursed her lips, saying, “Baron Lawrence, wait here. I’ll get the doctor to come.”

She was about to leave when her wrist was grasped, “Why call the doctor?”

Enna Clark frowned with worry and said, “Let the doctor check you again, to see if you’re fit to be moved. If not, I’ll figure out a way to stop those reporters.”

“You won’t be able to stop them.”

He had far more experience in this area than Enna Clark did. Reporters were tenacious.

And there would only be more and more of them.

If they didn’t leave now, more reporters would arrive, and soon every door of the hospital would be swarmed, leaving them in an even bigger predicament.

“Enna Clark, listen to me!”
