Chapter 18, Ye Liangchen

“These bastards. How dare they bully someone in broad daylight!” Seeing this scene, the straightforward Li Yuanba’s eyes instantly erupted with rage. He wielded his huge hammer and was about to walk towards Zeng Jian, but was stopped by Qin Yichen.

“Ha ha, Zeng Jian, you’ve found another nice girl again. Not bad, not bad. I’m sure you must have spent quite a lot of effort, right?” Just then, a loud laugh came from the crowd. Soon, a chubby fatty squeezed out from the crowd.

“Damn it, why is it him again!” Seeing this fatty, Zeng Jian’s face turned gloomy.

This fatty was not just fat, he was dangerously obese. He was only about 1.5 metres tall, but weighed at least over 160 kilograms. Walking in the crowd, he looked very much like a crab.

He basically walked sideways!

However, after seeing this fatty, the corners of Qin Yichen’s mouth slightly curved up into a faint smile. [Seemed like I now have a way to contend with the Lin Family.]

“Ye Liangchen, are you going to meddle in my matters again?!”

Zeng Jian asked this fatty who was walking sideways in discontent.

The way he asked this question actually already had the intention of backing down, but he was reluctant to let go of the meat that was about to fall into his hands.

The reason, of course, was that this fatty had a more prominent background than him.

Ye Liangchen, the eldest Young Master of the Ye Family, one of the three top Families in Spreading Cloud City.

The Ye Family dominated Spreading Cloud City. However, in Ye Liangchen’s family generation, he was the only male. Thus, in the future, the Ye Family was destined to be his. and no one could take it away.

“I’ll give you one minute. Take your dogs and get lost. Otherwise, I, Ye Liangchen, have a hundred ways to make you wish you were dead!”

Faced with Zeng Jian’s question, Ye Liangchen directly and bluntly told him the answer.

As soon as he said this, Zeng Jian’s face instantly became dark, alternating between black and red.

This was not the first time Ye Liangchen had ruined his plans.

Although Ye Liangchen had no bodyguards by his side, if someone really meant him harm, the people hidden in the shadows protecting Ye Liangchen could easily wipe out Zeng Jian’s entire group.

After a standoff for half a minute, Zeng Jian could only leave in anger.

“Still trying to act cool in front of me, Liangchen, you are simply overestimating yourself!” Just as he was about to walk out of the crowd, Ye Liangchen’s mocking voice came, making Zeng Jian stagger. He could feel rage surge in his chest. Zeng Jian had already lost count of how many times Ye Liangchen had ruined his plans. Every time, he could only grit his teeth and swallow his anger.

In front of the Ye Family, one of the three top Families, the Zeng Family had absolutely no power to resist. Although the Zeng Family had recently curried favour with Lin Aoqing of the Lin Family, and thought Lin Aoqing would have some misgivings with Ye Liangchen, but in their previous conflict, Ye Liangchen had publicly slapped him a few times yet the Lin Family had completely ignored it. They did not even bother to stand up for him.

“Ye Liangchen is quite interesting.” Qin Yichen looked at the chubby Ye Liangchen, the corners of his mouth also curving into a faint arc.

In his memory, although Ye Liangchen appeared to be a reckless, domineering, and brainless person on the surface, his true nature was that of a kind man. This was something few knew. Several years later, after the Ye Family Patriarch Ye Wentian was killed by the Zeng Family, who had colluded with the Lin Family, Ye Liangchen took over the Ye Family and directly wiped out the Zeng Family with lightning speed. That event had also left the Lin Family severely weakened.

Afterward, Ye Liangchen further demonstrated his terrifying business acumen. In just a few decades, he made the Ye Family’s name resound throughout the entire country, becoming a commercial giant.

“Big guy, go and call that fatty to the Virtuous Delight Teahouse.” Qin Yichen nodded towards Ye Liangchen and said to Li Yuanba beside him.

Now that he had this opportunity, he naturally would not let this business genius slip away!

“Oh, do not worry. If he’s unwilling to come, I’ll carry him over even if I have to!” Li Yuanba did not even ask him for a reason and directly patted his chest and guaranteed.

[Carry?] Qin Yichen looked at that 160-170 kilogram fatty and could not help but have the corners of his mouth twitch.

Only someone like Li Yuanba, who had monstrous strength, would dare to say such a thing. Regardless of the Family behind him or his personal strength, Li Yuanba would not fear anyone. What was even more terrifying was Li Yuanba’s single-minded brain. He would not consider the consequences of doing this.

After Qin Yichen left, Li Yuanba also directly walked behind that fatty, who was comforting the delicate girl.

Looking at Ye Liangchen, who was passionately consoling the frightened girl, Li Yuanba frowned, not knowing whether to directly pull him away for a moment. After hesitating for a bit, he still poked Ye Liangchen’s back with a finger and called out, “Hey, come with me to somewhere!”

“Little Sister, do not be afraid. Big Brother is not a bad person. Look, with a Big Brother as elegant as a jade tree, with extraordinary demeanour, and have a graceful bearing like me…”

However, Ye Liangchen, who was in the middle of talking, just impatiently waved his hand without even turning his head. He continued to pose in a manner he thought was very suave, speaking to the girl who was still on the ground.

“Ye Liangchen…” The corners of Li Yuanba’s mouth twitched, and he continued to poke his back, but the latter still ignored him.

“Haaaaa…” After calling out to him twice in a row with no response, Li Yuanba let out a long sigh, veins bulging on his forehead.

Those onlookers surrounding them naturally recognized Li Yuanba. Seeing the latter about to explode, they could not help but retreat several steps back. The noisy clamour quieted down at this moment.

“Fatty, are you deaf? Why are you not responding when I call you?!” Finally, Li Yuanba could not hold back and shouted.

“Who the Hell dares to call this Young Master fatty?!”

As soon as the three words ‘fatty’ fell into Ye Liangchen’s ears, his originally kind face instantly turned gloomy. He cursed and turned around, wanting to see who dared to touch his inverse scale.

“Whoosh!” However, as soon as he turned around, before he could even see clearly who was cursing at him, he saw a palm almost the size of his fat face swooping down.

*Slap!* With a loud sound, Ye Liangchen’s huge body flew out, fiercely spinning twice in the air, before finally crashing to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!*

As soon as Li Yuanba made his move, several urgent sounds of air being torn apart came from the crowd. A few men in robes with ‘Ye’ printed on their sleeves appeared beside Ye Liangchen.

“Y-Young Master, are you alright?”

Those few men glanced at Li Yuanba, who was staring at them with wide eyes. Their eyes twitched. They sheepishly retracted their gazes. Not only did they not want to cause trouble for Li Yuanba, they acted as if this person did not exist.

Supported by them, Ye Liangchen woke up in a daze. The first thing he did after coming to his senses was to take out a mirror from somewhere and desperately look at it. Seeing his slightly swollen fat face, a tragic wail that could make one’s Soul leave their body resounded. It had caused countless people to turn and look.

“Damn it! Who was it!? I’m going to kill you for daring to hit this Young Master’s handsome and cute delicate face!” Fatty Ye kept howling, making those who originally sympathised with him feel a wave of nausea.

“Y-Young Master, do not be impulsive…” The few Ye Family guards tightly held Ye Liangchen back.

Their expressions were very awkward. As Ye Family guards, they definitely could not pretend not to recognize Li Yuanba now.
