Alchemy Master

Chapter 4, Windfall Profit

“Wait a moment.” As Qin Yichen and Lin Miaohan were about to leave, the Elder called out to them again and amiably introduced himself, “This old man is Li Hu, the manager of this Treasure Pavilion branch. If you two have this kind of Medicinal Liquid in the future, my Treasure Pavilion will purchase them for thirty silver coins a bottle, how about it?”

“Thirty silver coins a bottle?” Lin Miaohan originally thought Li Hu was going to go back on his word, but unexpectedly, another big windfall fell from the sky.

This time Qin Yichen concocted a total of fifteen bottles. Doesn’t this mean they could exchange them for over three hundred silver coins!?

The Medicinal Herbs that cost less than eight silver coins, yet it ended up selling for such a sky-high price!

She could feel her head spinning.

“Won’t sell for less than fifty silver coins a bottle!” Qin Yichen smiled. Just as Li Hu’s expression was about to change, he added, “This is no ordinary Qi Recovery Liquid. If you want to buy it, come to Lin Family Medicine Shop in West Avenue yourself!”

With that, he pulled Lin Miaohan and left.

He knew that the people from Treasure Pavilion would come looking for him very soon.

As for Zhuang Muyun, he was petrified!

Three bottles of Medicinal Liquid had sold for three hundred silver coins!

Treasure Pavilion even offered a long-term purchase price of thirty silver coins per bottle!

Yet, Qin Yichen refused the offer!

Zhuang Muyun didn’t know how to describe his current feelings.

“What a stroke of luck that must have been!” Zhuang Muyun snorted and also left.

Of course he wouldn’t believe that this Sixth Grade Medicinal Liquid was concocted by the Lin Family. If the Lin Family could really concoct it, they would have long joined the ranks of the three major Families of Jade Creek City.

“You better do your job well!” After glaring at the middle-aged man, Li Hu quickly took the three bottles of Medicinal Liquid and headed towards the Alchemy Room.

Although he could smell that this Qi Recovery Liquid was somewhat different from ordinary Qi Recovery Liquid, he still had to consult the revered Elder to know about the specifics.

*Bang!* The door to the Alchemy room was kicked open, causing the Treasure Pavilion’s revered Chief Alchemist, Cai Xinhuan, who was originally in the process of concocting medicine, to fly into a rage and was about to curse.

“Old Cai, look at what this is.” Li Hu directly uncorked a bottle of Qi Recovery Liquid and handed it to him.

“A Sixth Grade Qi Recovery Liquid?” Cai Xinhuan was stunned for a moment. He frowned and took a few deep breaths before muttering, “It seems to be a bit different…”

As he spoke, he took a small sip.

Half a minute later, the Chief Alchemist of Treasure Pavilion opened his eyes in shock and grabbed Li Hu’s collar at lightning speed, asking, “Where did this Qi Recovery Liquid come from?”

“Uh…” Li Hu, who was still waiting for the result, looked at this revered Alchemist, who had always been known for his calmness, in a daze. He could not comprehend why he was acting so crazy.

“Hurry up and tell me, where did this come from?” Just from hesitating for that one second, he was sprayed with a face full of saliva.

“We just purchased it. I felt it to be a bit different, so I brought it over for you to check.” Li Hu sensed that there must be something wrong with this Qi Recovery Liquid.

“How is this just a bit different!” Cai Xinhuan’s face flushed red with excitement as he practically roared, “Do you know how quickly this Qi Recovery Liquid took effect? Let me tell you, half a minute, no, twenty something seconds! Twenty something seconds and it started taking effect!”

“What!?” Li Hu, who was well-versed in such matters, was instantly shocked.

Qi Recovery Liquid was the lowest-end, most basic Medicinal Liquid. The reason for this was due to it being too useless.

Of course, it wasn’t to say that the effects of Qi Recovery Liquid weren’t good. Rather, the biggest flaw of Qi Recovery Liquid was how long it started to take effect – five minutes.

Imagine, if one’s Internal Energy got truly depleted, who would give them the time to slowly recover?

Because it was useless, its price was the lowest among all Medicinal Liquids.

However, what if it could take effect in just twenty seconds?

At this moment, Li Hu finally understood why Qin Yichen refused when he thought he had already offered the highest purchase price.

This Medicinal Liquid was incomparable to many Pills!

Fifty silver coins was definitely taking advantage of him. Even a hundred silver coins would be taking a huge advantage of him!

If this formula was used to concoct Pills, what effects would it have!?

*Siiii…* Li Hu couldn’t help sharply inhaling a breath of cold air.

“Quick! Quickly go to West Avenue!”

“Wait for me…”

Soon, people of Treasure Pavilion witnessed a scene they would never forget. Their calm and steady manager, along with their lofty revered Chief Alchemist, chased after one another as they ran out, completely disregarding their image. Their appearance was as if they were going to rob someone.

…

Qin Yichen naturally knew how much of a sensation the improved Qi Recovery Liquid would cause.

His reason for doing this was very simple. If he didn’t have any backing and sold this Qi Recovery Liquid at the Lin Family Medicine Shop, not only would it not bring huge profits to the Lin Family, it would instead bring catastrophic disaster to the Lin Family.

However, Treasure Pavilion was different.

Treasure Pavilion was one of the largest trading firms in the twelve major cities of Donghua Province. If he had the Treasure Pavilion to shelter him, he naturally wouldn’t have any worries.

Compared to Qin Yichen’s calm demeanour, Lin Miaohan was still in a daze.

[Three hundred silver coins, three hundred silver coins! There was even an offer for a long-term cooperative relationship…] She turned her head and looked at Qin Yichen who wore a faint smile. [He has truly changed.]

“Big Sister, let’s browse the shops there.”

Being able to see this girl who made his heart flutter again, Qin Yichen seemed very excited. Without giving her a chance to refuse, he pulled Lin Miaohan and walked towards a jewelry shop.

The two of them had a great time shopping, but the Lin Family in West Avenue had exploded in commotion.

Li Hu and Cai Xinhuan came to West Avenue and quickly found the location of the Lin Family Medicine Shop.

At this time, the one in the Medicine Shop was the Lin Family Patriarch, Lin Aotian, and his guard Qin Haoran, who stood beside him.

*Haaaa…* Seeing the booming business of the Zhuang Family across the street, Lin Aotian sighed continuously. If this continued, the Lin Family would have no way to survive.

Just as he was thinking, Li Hu and Cai Xinhuan arrived in front of the Medicine Shop.

“Excuse me, is this the Lin Family Medicine Shop?” Li Hu suppressed his excitement and politely asked Lin Aotian.

“Yes?” Seeing the two’s attire, Lin Aotian was obviously stunned for a moment, but still nodded. He could not understand why these wealthy people wanted to buy things from this small shop, in this small avenue.

“This humble one is the manager of Treasure Pavilion, Li Hu.” Because of that Sixth Grade Medicinal Liquid, Li Hu was especially polite as he introduced himself, “This gentleman is our Treasure Pavilion’s revered Chief Alchemist, Master Cai.”

“Wh- What? The manager of Treasure Pavilion!?” Lin Aotian and Qin Haoran instantly stood up, looking at the two big shots before them in shock.

The manager of Treasure Pavilion was an existence that even Patriarchs of the major Families in Jade Creek City had to be polite to when they met. He was the kind of existence they could only look up to but never reach.

As for the revered Chief Alchemist of Treasure Pavilion, he was one of the few renowned Alchemists in Jade Creek City!

They simply couldn’t imagine that these two lofty big shots would actually stand before them and politely greet them.

“May I ask, who concocted the Medicinal Liquids of this Medicine Shop?” Cai Xinhuan couldn’t hold back and urgently asked.

“Uh… they are normally concocted by me.” After blanking out for a moment, Lin Aotian answered.

[I guess we really can’t judge a book by its cover!] After carefully sizing him up, Li Hu and Cai Xinhuan sighed at the same time.

“Cai Xinhuan, paying respects to Master Lin!” Cai Xinhuan’s next words instantly stunned Lin Aotian.
