Alchemy Master

Chapter 15, The Crafty Young Mistress

Translator: Silavin

Everyone there knew for refinement of Medicinal Liquids or Pills, the length of time undoubtedly depends on the Alchemist’s utilisation of Spiritual Energy.

On this second floor, most of the Disciples had already mastered some methods of controlling Spiritual Energy, which brought about two things: one was the improvement of the quality of the Medicinal Liquids, and the other was the improvement of the refining speed.

However, even when refining the most basic and easiest Qi Recovery Liquid, even with the aid of their Spiritual Energy and a Pill Furnace, it would still take at least half an hour or so.

Even for an Alchemist who possessed a Divine Soul Bead, it would still take more than fifteen minutes.

However, only a short one or two minutes had passed!

Although they still could not determine what kind of Medicinal Liquid Qin Yichen had just refined, the clear liquid inside the Pill Furnace had already explained everything.

The refinement was successful! Moreover, the grade was definitely above Fifth Grade, perhaps even reaching Sixth Grade!

*Thud thud thud…* Li Lingyan, who was only stunned for a moment, came back to her senses and directly chased Qin Yichen down the stairs. She did so without paying attention to the people around her.

“No, this is impossible. He can’t have successfully refined it so quickly.” Xiao Licheng pushed aside the few people standing beside the Pill Furnace, his gaze fixed on the Medicinal Liquid inside the furnace, unable to believe the fact in front of his eyes.

Even if it were Ran Rui, a true Alchemy Grandmaster, refining Medicinal Liquid here, it would not be possible to be so fast. It would still at least take three to five minutes.

Unwilling to give up, after he tasted the Medicinal Liquid inside the furnace, his entire being seemed to be in a daze. He staggered back several steps, and fortunately, the people behind him supported him, or he would have fallen.

His abnormal state undoubtedly confirmed the little bit of suspicion in everyone’s hearts.

For a moment, the entire second floor was as silent as a graveyard.

…

Qin Yichen was not surprised that Li Lingyan would chase after him.

She was not an arrogant and domineering Young Mistress. On the contrary, she was very kind. Otherwise, she would not have taken such good care of him when he was destitute and helpless, even treating him like her Younger Brother.

“Erm…” Li Lingyan slowly followed behind him, opening her mouth but not knowing what to say.

“Does Miss Yan’er believe that I’m not a fraud now?” Qin Yichen instead smiled at her with ease and teased.

“En.” Just by smelling the medicinal fragrance, Li Lingyan could already determine why her Father would address this young man, who was about the same age as her, as a Grandmaster.

Because he had actually done something that even Grandmaster Ran Rui could not do!

As the Patriarch’s Daughter, she naturally understood more than others.

Ordinary people only knew that the strength of Spiritual Energy had a direct relationship with the speed and quality of refining Medicinal Liquids and Pills. However, many did not know that control of Spiritual Energy was the most important part!

The so-called refining of Medicinal Liquids was actually the decomposition of medicinal herbs, the separation of impurities, and the extraction of essences.

The stronger the Spiritual Energy, the faster the medicinal herbs could naturally be decomposed. However, that would not have much effect on separating the impurities in the Medicinal Liquid. In other words, the strength of one’s Spiritual Energy did not mean the improved quality of the Medicinal Liquid.

When decomposing and separating impurities, it tested a person’s degree of Spiritual Energy control.

Like Ran Rui, he already possessed the Entry Stage attainment in Spiritual Energy, so his speed of decomposing medicinal herbs was faster than other Alchemists. Therefore, he could refine Sixth Grade Medicinal Liquids, while other Alchemists could not.

It was precisely because Li Lingyan understood these things that she was extremely shocked and saw many things that others could not see.

Qin Yichen was actually able to refine Sixth Grade Medicinal Liquids without condensing a Divine Soul Bead! How terrifying was this?

“Miss Yan’er, thank you for your hospitality. I overexerted myself just now, so I want to go back and rest.” Qin Yichen said to Li Lingyan with a faint smile.

What he wanted most now was to improve his Spiritual Energy. He wanted to quickly refine the Sirius Pill and then condense a Divine Soul Bead with the help of the Sirius Pill!

If he wanted to refine the Sirius Pill before condensing a Divine Soul Bead, it was almost impossible, so he had to rely on external forces, which was… a Pill Furnace.

Pill Furnaces were only divided into three grades: Human Grade, Earth Grade, and Heaven Grade.

Human Grade Pill Furnaces were too limited in aid to Qin Yichen, almost equivalent to nothing. After all, Human Grade Pill Furnaces could only make Spiritual Energy more concentrated.

Earth Grade Pill Furnaces could amplify Spiritual Energy!

However, let alone the Li Family, even the Major Families in the Royal City did not have Earth Grade Pill Furnaces. The best Pill Furnace in the entire country was the one in the hands of the Guildmaster of the Royal City Alchemy Guild.

Furthermore, that Pill Furnace was only a Low Earth Grade one, Moreover, it was a reward given to him by the better, stronger Guild, for improving a Pill.

In other words, there were no Earth Grade Pill Furnaces in the entire country!

However, Qin Yichen knew that in the Spreading Cloud City Alchemy Guild, there was a special Pill Furnace.

Although he was not clear about the Grade of that Pill Furnace, he knew about its peculiarities.

It could also be said that the reason Qin Yichen had his later achievements was because he had obtained that special Pill Furnace!

Everyone who passed the Alchemy Guild’s assessment and became a true Alchemist could receive a Pill Furnace from the Alchemy Guild. The reason Qin Yichen had rushed to Spreading Cloud City in such a hurry was that he wanted to get that special Pill Furnace.

“Oh?” Li Lingyan did not know what he was thinking, but her attitude towards him had changed greatly. She said in a soft voice, “Then let me send you back.”

Qin Yichen naturally did not refuse. After all, it was his first time coming to the Li Mansion now. If he was already familiar with the place, would it not arouse suspicion?

Returning to the courtyard, Qin Yichen’s parents, Lin Miaohan, and her parents were all chatting in the yard, obviously waiting for Qin Yichen to come back.

Their hearts were still uneasy. After all, this was the Li Family!

Seeing Qin Yichen returning together with a beautiful young lady, their expressions all changed.

Especially Lin Miaohan. Seeing a young lady beside Qin Yichen who was no less beautiful than her, for some reason, her heart tightened. It felt as if something important had been snatched away.

“Chen’er, who is this young lady?” Qin Haoran was the first to react and asked.

“Hello, Uncle and Auntie. My name is Li Lingyan.” Before Qin Yichen could speak, Li Lingyan introduced herself.

“What a well-behaved girl. Quick, come and sit.” Seeing her attire and appearance, even if Qin Yichen did not remind them, they could guess that Li Lingyan’s identity was definitely not ordinary. Moreover, she was so polite, which was beyond their expectations.

In response, Qin Yichen shook his head helplessly. As for the crafty Li Lingyan, he had no way to deal with her. Her coming here to ingratiate herself with his Elders was probably for some purpose.

However, giving her a little guidance would not be a loss for Qin Yichen, so he just let her put on an act here.
