Alchemy Master

Chapter 8, Commotion in All Directions

Translator: Silavin

The Treasure Pavilion indeed worked quickly. On the second day, there was one thing spreading throughout Jade Creek City…

Qi Recovery Liquid.

Of course, if it was just Qi Recovery Liquid, it naturally couldn’t cause much of a commotion. But this Qi Recovery Liquid had some special aspects to it, and its Heaven defying attribute of taking effect in just around twenty seconds was enough to drive all Martial Artists crazy!

Instantly, the Treasure Pavilion was bustling with activity. The doorsill was worn down the numerous feets of all the visitors. Almost everyone coming was inquiring about one thing – the Qi Recovery Liquid.

However, the Treasure Pavilion’s response was the same. It would come out at the auction three days later. Ten Qi Recovery Pills, made from the same recipe as the Qi Recovery Liquid, would also be auctioned off.

This news spread very quickly and even affected other cities.

In just a short day, the population of Jade Creek City had increased several fold. Their target was only one thing – those ten super Qi Recovery Pills.

To maintain order at the Treasure Pavilion, it was said that Treasure Pavilion headquarters sent several Martial Grandmasters to take charge and prevent any accidents from happening.

(Silavin: Martial Artist -> Martial Master -> Martial Grandmaster)

Li Hu naturally couldn’t stop grinning. As soon as this matter was reported, it received a lot of attention from headquarters. After this was over, his dream of being transferred back would definitely be realised.

These matters didn’t affect Qin Yichen though.

After Treasure Pavilion delivered those spiritual medicines that increase Spiritual Energy to him, he just focused on maximising the effects of these spiritual medicines.

The Sirius Flower naturally could not be wasted. Not while he was in this state.

“First, I’ll refine some Nourishing Spirit Liquid to improve my Spiritual Energy and strive to be able to refine Pills as soon as possible. Then I’ll refine Sirius Pills.” Ordinary people couldn’t refine Pills before condensing a Divine Soul Bead in their Knowledge Sea.

After all, the process of refining Pills was very long, and ordinary people’s Spiritual Energy simply couldn’t sustain it for that long.

However, Qin Yichen was confident he would be able to refine Pills before condensing a Divine Soul Bead.

In fact, he was going to use Sirius Pills to condense his Divine Soul Bead in one go!

Only by condensing a Divine Soul Bead could one be considered to have entered the threshold of being an Alchemist.

The same came when condensing a Martial Body Bead. Only by condensing it could one become a Martial Artist.

In Jade Creek City, Martial Artists were countless, but Alchemists could be counted on one hand. This led to Alchemists with talent in Spiritual Energy to not spend time on Martial Arts.

Lin Miaohan walked into the Alchemy Room and saw Qin Yichen standing in front of the Pill Furnace.

Perhaps thinking of her Father’s drunken words last night, seeing Qin Yichen made two red clouds rise on her pretty face.

Maybe it was just those few drunken words that made a hint of affection sprout in this young girl’s heart.

Looking at his side profile, Lin Miaohan was in a bit of a daze.

*Phew…* After a while, Qin Yichen opened his eyes. Before he could wipe the sweat from his forehead, he opened the furnace lid and poured out the Medicinal Liquid inside.

One stalk of Nourishing Spirit Grass was refined into three bottles of Nourishing Spirit Liquid.

“Sure enough, I still don’t have enough Spiritual Energy. I can’t believe it didn’t reach Seventh Grade. What a pity.” Qin Yichen sighed.

With one sentence, it made Lin Miaohan beside him roll her eyes. [What do you mean not reach Seventh Grade? If you put it that way, wouldn’t all Alchemists in the world have to die from shame?]

“Big Sister, when did you arrive?” Turning his head, Qin Yichen saw Lin Miaohan beside him. Instantly, the corners of his mouth involuntarily revealed a faint smile.

“Just now.” Lin Miaohan turned her head away, not daring to look at him directly.

However, she was quite depressed in her heart. The kid who was as timid as a mouse in front of her yesterday seemed to have swapped identities with her in just one day. She herself didn’t understand why she was afraid of him now.

“Um… Can you teach me an Alchemy Technique?” She asked, nervous.

“Of course.” Seeing her acting like a shy Cat, Qin Yichen couldn’t help finding it amusing. “Okay, let me see how talented you are.”

The Dao of Alchemy was difficult to tread across. Out of a hundred people with the talent in controlling Spiritual Energy, at least ninety couldn’t condense a Divine Soul Bead, which meant they could never become real Alchemists in their life.

Among Alchemists who could condense Divine Soul Beads, those who could take a step further and become true Alchemy Grandmasters were few and far between.

Even in their Brilliant Martial Country, the number of Alchemy Grandmasters was less than ten.

This was also the main reason why Alchemy Grandmasters had such lofty statuses.

Grasping Lin Miaohan’s small hand, although the latter was shy, seeing his serious appearance, she struggled slightly and then let him hold it.

Qin Yichen closed his eyes. A moment later, he opened his eyes and released that delicate and boneless small hand with some reluctance.

“Big Sister, you’re quite talented. Perhaps you can become a true Alchemy Grandmaster.” With one sentence from him, Lin Miaohan’s eyes lit up.

“This is for you.” Qin Yichen handed one of the bottles of Nourishing Spirit Liquid to her.

Afraid that she would have difficulty grasping it, he also picked out a Black Grade Spirit Cultivating Technique for her.

After instructing her not to tell anyone about it, he felt at ease taking the two bottles of Nourishing Spirit Liquid back to his room.

In these two days, Qin Yichen didn’t leave the Lin Family’s courtyard, but outside, it was already in an uproar.

Originally, less than one fifth of the seats for the Treasure Pavilion’s auction had been sold. But now, all the seats were gone, even the standing tickets were sold out. It had reached the point where tickets were basically impossible to get.

The popularity naturally made the Treasure Pavilion purchase many more rare treasures, and its influence further expanded. Many Forces from the neighbouring cities also sent people to attend.

On the day before the auction, an extremely luxurious horse carriage appeared on the road leading to Jade Creek City, galloping past and leaving a trail of dust. It even knocked into quite a few people. The passersby only got mad but dared not to speak out their grievances.

The reason was simple. The mounts pulling this carriage were actually four adult Green Wolves. Each one was as sturdy as a Bull, and their sharp claws and teeth made people below the Martial Master Realm tremble in fear.

With such mounts, what kind of incredible person must be inside the carriage?

“Young Master, Jade Creek City is just ahead.”

The carriage stopped at the city gate, and a youth with a white complexion and an arrogant air opened the door and got out.

“What the hell is Treasure Pavilion doing? Getting something like that and auctioning it off in such a low tier city, forcing this Young Master to have to come to such a place to suffer.” Seeing the bustling crowd in the city, this youth muttered in an impatient tone.

Not long after, a person ran out from the city and stood respectfully in front of this youth.

“Did you find out where that formula came from?” The youth directly asked.

With his status, naturally he didn’t come to this small city for the Qi Recovery Pills at the auction, but for its formula!

“After extensive inquiries, I got some clues.” After a pause, that person continued, “It is said that on the day before the medicine was made public, the manager and Chief Alchemist of Treasure Pavilion went to a small medicine shop in West Avenue. There are rumours in West Avenue that Treasure Pavilion wanted to invite someone to be a Chief Alchemist, but was refused by the other party…”

“Oh?” A sharp glint instantly flashed in this youth’s eyes. “Take me there!”

Soon they reached the entrance to the Lin Family Mansion.

“Lin Mansion?” The youth wearing luxurious clothing looked at the plaque above the entrance and raised his eyebrows. “They actually have the same surname as this Young Master. Interesting.”

Just as they were about to knock on the door, Lin Aotian and Qin Haoran walked over from not far away.

As soon as Lin Aotian made eye contact with the youth, his face changed drastically.

“Hehe, Lin Mansion, what a great place!” After seeing Lin Aotian, that youth was stunned at first. Then his eyes narrowed slightly with a cold glint flashing. “My dear Second Uncle, you really made your Nephew search hard for you!”

“You’ve mistaken me for someone else!” Lin Aotian hurriedly went and closed the gate. Under Qin Haoran’s puzzled gaze, he let out a long sigh.

Meanwhile, outside.

“Young Master, what should we do about this?” Seeing that the youth did not make a move, the person beside him asked in a low voice.

“My Father worked diligently for the Lin Family, but my Old Grandfather kept thinking of that Second Son of his and was unwilling to pass the position to my Father!”

This youth clenched his fist and turned to the person beside him, saying, “My Grandfather said he wanted to see my Second Uncle alive or at least his corpse if dead. If so, let that old undying man get his wish before he dies!”

With that, he waved his sleeve.
