THE GOD EATER

However, even though the potential energy of the hammer remained constant, its kinetic energy was constantly increasing because the hammer was falling under the influence of gravity.

In a normal situation, the kinetic energy and speed of the hammer will increase as it falls, while its potential energy will decrease. This way, the total mechanical energy of the hammer will remain constant.

However, what she was doing was maintaining the potential energy of the hammer, so the total mechanical energy was increasing as she fell to the ground.

And since she was replicating her total mechanical energy as gravitational power and using this gravitational power to pull her down to the ground to increase her acceleration, as she fell, the stronger the gravitational power became, and the faster her mechanical energy increased.

At the end of the day, she formed a circle of amplification in which mechanical energy increased and fueled an increase in gravitational power, which in turn caused mechanical energy to increase faster, and this in turn caused gravitational power to increase faster and faster.

So the speed of falling increased exponentially every second, and her momentum became staggering. She was soon moving more than 20 kilometers per second, which was causing the air in front of her to heat up.

The air heating up in front of her transformed her into a ball of fire falling to the earth. If not for the fact that her body had been refined by the Tungsten Body Metac, she wouldn’t be able to withstand this kind of temperature.

She was also producing a lot of light, but it was currently daytime, so the light that the superheated air around her was producing went largely unnoticed. By the time the people below noticed something wrong, it was too late.

In fact, they wouldn’t have noticed anything amiss if not for the influence of the gravitational power of the hammer affecting them. But by feeling this influence, it was already too late to escape.

It was nearly impossible for them to escape because the influence of the gravitational power was like a net. Once they felt it, it had already grabbed them and was already pushing them to the ground.

They felt something amiss when something suddenly pulled them towards the ground, pressed them to the surface of the ground, and even threatened to flatten them into the ground. But this was just the start.

Their movements were hindered, and they couldn’t escape. So when the hammer dropped down on them, they could only bear it.

In the split second before her hammer made contact with the enemy, she converted all of the gravitational power into mechanical energy. This instantly doubled the mechanical energy of the hammer, so when it finally made contact with the ground, it behaved as if a meteor had crashed onto the earth.

The ground turned into lava and exploded immediately. Pulverized and superheated rock and sand were kicked up in the explosion. It was as if a volcano was erupting.

The repercussions of the explosion were far-reaching. An earthquake shook the surrounding area and caused it to crack and split open.

As for the main point of impact, a large pit was formed where the hammer had landed, and nearly everything within the area of the pit was crushed to pieces. There was only a large spherical cavity in the ground.

The fake manifestation was at the edge of a mountain, so the hammer hand landed on that mountain. But that part of the mountain was no more now. A large part of the mountain had been carved away and crushed to dust.

The only thing still standing in this large crater that was as large as a stadium was the rank 5 forger and the rank 5 deceiver. The deceiver was still alive because he had been able to resist the gravitational force pushing him down and had been able to take advantage of the split second before the hit when the gravitational force disappeared.

He created a cloud of darkness around him. Then he used the cloud to enhance his movement and move out of the way of a direct hit from the hammer.

In that brief moment, he had escaped, so the hammer didn’t land on him. But the resulting explosion had struck him. It was only a shallow graze, though. He had nearly escaped it completely.

The explosion was also what struck the twenty-odd rank 4 deceivers that had been working with him. But none of the rank 4 deceivers survived the collateral damage. Not even a nail or a fragment of a bone survived the encounter.

The deceiver spat out some blood before saying, “Impressive.”

Then he spat out more blood as he said, “Now what do you plan to do? Do you plan to fight to the death?”

The blood he spat out didn’t touch the ground before it evaporated. This was because the area within and above the pit was hot enough to turn most organic matter into ashes in a few seconds.

Yet, the two of them look like they can stay here for a long time without any issues. They were even in the mood to chat.

The forger replied to the question, saying, “Maybe we will fight to the death. That is yet to be seen. It depends on how well you cooperate.”

She was threatening him to put pressure on him, but the deceiver wasn’t scared. He even had the confidence to sneer and say, “If you think you can threaten me, you must be out of your mind.”

He also chuckled as he said, “Your stunt was impressive. But that’s all that it was. It was flashy and showy, but it was still a stunt.”

“From now on, things have changed. You no longer have the high ground. Or why did you think I didn’t run away just now and instead stayed back to chat with you?”

Then he shook his head and said, “I should be the one to threaten you, not me. After all, I am the only one here who has a good chance of killing the other.”
