THE GOD EATER

The possibility of having to pay a fine that could be up to 100 billion energy stones or even more than 1 trillion weighed heavily on his mind. But he was still willing to go ahead with killing her because the alternative is to let her go, which is something he finds more abhorrent than a fine of 100 billion energy stones.

She knew too much about him for him to let go. Besides that, he hated her and had always wanted to kill her.

So, as he destroyed the army of skeletons, he also destroyed the Mental World of the rank 5 death cultivator. And he did so without caring about the cost of his actions.

The latter was the first to be completed. In just two minutes of constant attacks, the Mental World was crushed, fragmented, and turned to ashes. This damage also affected the army of skeletons.

With her Mental World destroyed, the death cultivator died wherever she was hiding. Since she was gone, the power reanimating the skeletons also disappeared, and the black fire in their eyes disappeared.

They were puppets and the puppet strings had been cut, so they all fell to the ground like lumps of bones. Even the undead giant became no different from a corpse lying by the road.

This sight made Loki smile for a while. But his smile quickly disappeared when he received the notification from the sect about the value of her life.

As a rank 5 cultivator that was in control of a rank 6 corpse, the value of her life had reached the limit of the value of rank 5 cultivators. So the base value of her life was 100,000,000 energy stones.

From a base value of 100 million energy stones, the value of her life doubled for every additional level of Dao Status that she possessed. She possessed Level 5 Dao Status, so the value of her life increased from 100 million, to 200 million, 400 million, 800 million, and finally 1.6 billion energy stones.

She was also a soldier on a rank 5 mission, so the value of her life doubled four times from 1.6 billion, to 3.2 billion, 6.4 billion, 12.8 billion, and finally 25.6 billion energy stones.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, her life insurance will also increase it further. Since she had grade 5 life insurance, this 25.6 billion has to be increased by 5 times. So the value of her is 128 billion.

Then the sect must have their 10% for raising her to this level. This increased the value of her life from 128 billion to 140.8 billion.

Of this immense amount of money, 1.6 billion will be credited into her account, which makes 1.14% of the total value of her life. The remaining 98.86% or 139.2 billion will go to the sect.

All of this was outlined for him in the notification so that he would be fully aware of what exactly he was paying for. Not that he could make a complaint if he was dissatisfied with anything.

The sight of so much debt in his name made him say with bitterness, “Who has this kind of money? I am sure that only divine beings can afford this.”

Then he said to himself, ’I won’t pay it anyway. Let me see what they will do to me if I don’t pay it.”

He has to pay a monthly interest of 1% of his debt every month until he has paid off the whole principal debt. Right now, that 1% interest amounts to 1.408 billion energy stones.

If he doesn’t pay this much in the next month, the sect will come after him to put him to work for all of eternity if need be. If he doesn’t pay his monthly interest on time, his debt will only increase, and he will never be able to pay it, which will force him to serve the sect for all of eternity.

Since he doesn’t plan to be captured and enslaved by the sect, he will have to find a way to pay back the money in one month or escape the capture of the sect.

As he thought of this, he sneered and said inwardly, ’Even if I have the money, I won’t pay it. It is too much of a rip-off. It is just an excuse by the sect to enslave people.’

’Fortunately, the Heavenly Battlefield will end in at most one month. Whatever happens then, I must reverse time.’

After making up his mind concerning the debt, he left the fallen army of skeletons and went in the direction of the city. He is going there to ask for information about the world guardians.

It is not that he is giving up on killing every rank 4 cultivator of the sects. He still plans to kill them and their rank 5 cultivators when he encounters them. He just isn’t looking for them now because it is too tedious to search the whole world for them.

Instead of roaming the small world looking for someone that might be hiding sixty feet or more in the ground, it would be a better use of his time to find the world guardians and take their symbol of authority.

Besides, doing this doesn’t mean that he can’t also search for the cultivators during the process. Since he is a Mind Hunter, he is able to see minds through obstacles and will be able to find people easily.

However, even if he can’t find all of the cultivators, the position of every cultivator will be exposed after one week when a pillar of light appears above them. This pillar of light will expose the position of every invader so that the invaders can find and kill each other and so that the world guardians can find and kill all of the invaders.

Then, in the second week of fighting, the position of every world guardian will be revealed. Finally, after the third week of fighting, the symbol of authority of this world will be revealed.
