THE GOD EATER

The tone of her voice was insistent as she said, “As for what will happen to me after I’ve swallowed it, that’s up to me. Let me deal with it when it comes.”

The other side said, “Whatever. But I can’t give you that much. Ask for something else.”

But she said, “It seems you don’t want this mutated Life Ability.”

A shout came from her token, saying, “I never said that. Don’t mess with me on this.”

She smiled as she said, “I’m not messing around. I already said what I wanted. You’re the one messing around and wasting time.”

The two of them began to argue about what reward she was going to get for protecting Loki. She asked for something big and refused to back down, even though Loki doesn’t need her help to protect himself.

She is asking for too much and being adamant about it because she knows that this person won’t be able to give her what she wants. If this person doesn’t give her what she wants, they won’t be able to come to an agreement and sign a contract stating that Loki has a mutated Life Ability.

She doesn’t know if Loki truly has a mutated Life Ability, so she is doing everything to make sure that she doesn’t sign any contract to prove it. However, the person she is negotiating with doesn’t see things like this.

The other person was suspicious about Loki having a mutated Life Ability earlier, but now that she was asking for so much, they were more inclined to believe that Loki truly had a mutated Life Ability, which is why the demand is so high.

So this person is already mobilizing their full force to come to heaven to retrieve Loki. They are also contacting other rank 5 cultivators from the Four Directions Sect in the Heavenly Battlefield to protect Loki.

At the end of the day, their negotiation fell flat. The rank 5 forger didn’t get anything and seemed to have lost out because she had revealed that there was a mutated Armored Shell here.

However, she didn’t feel bad about this. Instead of feeling bad, she should try the same thing with a divine being.

But she shook her and said, “I can’t mess around with divine beings, or I might be the one to die.”

If she were certain that Loki was in possession of a Divine Metac, she would waste no time about selling the information to a divine being in exchange for the coordinates of a fresh world. But she is not sure that Loki has a Divine Metac and can’t risk lying about it to a divine being.

If that rank 5 forger with the Armored Shell Life Ability discovers that Loki doesn’t have a mutated Armored Shell, the worst that will happen is some hatred and maybe a fight.

But if a divine being discovers that she had lied, the divine being will kill her and crush her mental world too to make sure that she will never reincarnate. So she didn’t dare play tricks with a divine being.

She could only be content with what she had done and say to herself, “This will have to do.”

Then she clapped her hands to dust off the ashes on her hands.

After doing this, she picked a direction to go. The direction she picked is the one where the manifestation of a black hammer was hanging in the sky.

The sight of the manifestation of her own Life Ability made her grit her teeth and say in anger, “Let’s see who is the real deal between us.”

Her hammer appeared in her hands, and she shot into the sky like a bullet in the direction of that large manifestation. Her eyes were full of anger, and her heart was calling for blood, so it is clear what she is going there for.

While this was going on, something more important was going on among the divine beings.

The five divine beings were sitting in a circle above the small world with their eyes closed. A golden flame was burning silently and calmly above their heads.

Everything was calm in general. Aside from the explosions and cries coming from the small world, this place would be dead silent.

The fact that the five of them aren’t breathing also added a layer of stillness to the atmosphere. They just sat there in the air like five frozen statues.

But this peace and quiet was broken suddenly when space cracked open beside them, and another divine being came out of it. This divine being was wearing white robes and had a sword on their back. These two features were enough to determine which pathway and sect they belong to.

The newcomer looked around briefly before settling his gaze on the only swordsman among the five. The gaze that he used to look at this swordsman wasn’t friendly at all.

The eyes of the newcomer were stern and sharp as he said, “What did you do?”

The swordsman that he was talking to didn’t know what he was talking about, but he decided not to act clueless. Instead of showing a look of confusion, he smiled provocatively and said, “You will have to be more specific.”

Seeing as he wasn’t going to admit it, the newcomer also smiled before saying, “I am honestly impressed that you could manage it. How did you do it anyway?”

His anger had disappeared completely, and it looked as if the two of them were friends chatting about something pleasant. But the other four divine beings knew that things weren’t so simple, so they watched with rapt attention.

The swordsman sitting in the air replied to the question, saying, “Again, you will have to be specific. I have done too many things recently. Do you want me to tell you about everything I’ve done?”

But the newcomer didn’t get angry. He even laughed and clapped, and he said, “Stubborn to the end. I like it.”
