The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

According to Jiang An’s earlier suggestion, the evidence was systematically divided into four parts—more precisely, three main parts and one smaller part, and they were arranged to be sent for examination in batches.

Before sending it for examination, Jiang An specifically reminded each criminal investigation team leader, emphasizing that during the inspection of these hundreds of pieces of evidence, if a third party’s blood type appeared, they must contact him immediately.

He knew well, at critical moments in solving a case, every second counts and any delay could result in the loss of crucial clues.

If a third party’s blood could be found and analyzed for comparison, it would undoubtedly provide essential evidence for a breakthrough in the case, and could even become the key condition for immediately initiating the next step in the investigation.

Time quietly slipped away.

In the conference room, a group of people appeared to be sitting quietly and waiting, outwardly calm as usual, not speaking much, but inside everyone was already experiencing emotional turbulence.

pieces of evidence, a large quantity, but it was far less than the pressure brought by the case itself—how would the case ultimately turn out?

If no third party’s blood could be found in this batch of evidence, where should the breakthrough be sought next?

The entire investigation work might fall into a deadlock, the case could remain unresolved for a long time, or even forever sink into silence, becoming an unsolved mystery.

Three hours later, Jiang An’s phone suddenly rang.

The screen displayed the caller—Qin Yong, the criminal investigation team leader from Guangling City.

Seeing this name, Jiang An’s heart suddenly trembled.

Thinking that he had specifically instructed Qin Yong that if there were any test results, he must contact him directly immediately.

A call at this time, could it possibly mean... there was indeed a discovery?

Director Lu, Director Hou, and Zhang Biao’s gaze instantly focused, each unable to hide their inner excitement.

Jiang An quickly answered the call: ”Hello, Mr. Qin.”

”Mr. Jiang, just as you expected!” Qin Yong’s voice came through the receiver, clear and urgent, ”We found mixed bloodstains on number 503 evidence—belonging to two men.”

”Evidence number 503, mixed bloodstains...” Jiang An repeated this key information, his mind racing.

Upon hearing this, Jiang An was initially slightly stunned, then softly repeated it once more.

”Really? Is this information absolutely accurate?”

Mr. Qin couldn’t help but laugh, his tone steady and filled with confidence: ”Mr. Jiang, I dare to guarantee this with my position.”

”Although our lab’s equipment has just been put into use, both the quality and reliability have been rigorously verified, the results are absolutely credible.”

”Good... so good!”

Jiang An exhaled heavily, ”Thank you, so much!”

”This case has been silent for so long, constantly failing to find a breakthrough, but now it finally appears hopeful.”

As he spoke, he leaned forward slightly, speaking faster: ”Then please arrange to send the map to us immediately, and we will quickly organize personnel here to compare it with the suspect’s samples.”

Mr. Qin nodded in agreement: ”No problem, I’ll notify the lab right away to send the data over at the first opportunity.”

After saying this, he paused slightly, his tone carrying a bit of lighthearted laughter: ”But once this cold case is truly solved, don’t forget to mention the contributions of our Guangling City in assisting the case when you report future achievements.”

”At least let us also ’have a sip of the soup’.”

”Haha, of course!”

Jiang An laughed out loud, replying without hesitation, ”I can’t vouch for anything else, but I will definitely make sure of this.”

”When it’s submitted, I’ll make sure to ask relevant departments to specifically note Guangling City’s generous support in the examination report—and it will be in bold!”

”Hey, no need for bold,” Mr. Qin laughed and waved his hand, ”Just a light note, conveying the meaning will suffice!”

”You’re too kind,” Jiang An’s smile remained undiminished, and then he remembered something else, asking, ”Then about how much evidence remains?”

”About 200 pieces.”

”Rest assured, I have arranged for lab personnel to continue working overtime for examination, trying to complete everything as soon as possible.”

At this point, Jiang An suddenly realized the time issue and couldn’t help but show a surprised expression: ”Wait... only a little over two hours have passed, and you’ve processed over 500 pieces?”

”Hey, I told you before,” Mr. Qin’s tone carried pride, ”This new set of equipment we purchased for over four million, naturally its efficiency can’t be compared with manual labor.”

”Now it’s all automated processing, fast speed, high accuracy, manpower is mainly used for supervision and review.”

”Good, very good!”

Jiang An praised repeatedly, ”Then I’ll thank you in advance! Once this busy period is over, I will personally lead a team back to Jiangcheng City to organize exchanges and learning, to your place to gain experience, and also to see how this new equipment is operated, so that we can refer to it for future procurement.”

”Always welcome!” Mr. Qin responded straightforwardly, ”By then, we’ll fully cooperate, sharing everything.”

After hanging up the phone, Jiang An looked around at the few people in the office.

Everyone first looked at each other, and then almost simultaneously revealed expressions of uncontrollable excitement.

Especially Director Lu, he almost stood up from his chair, his voice full of elation: ”Good! With this, the case is nearing its end, the solution is in sight!”

Director Hou, although not directly responsible for the case, repeatedly nodded at the moment, his expression serious yet showing some relief.

At this moment, Director Lu said: ”Mr. Jiang, we really should thank you this time.”

”Not only did you point out the direction for the investigation, but you also coordinated the arrangement for the evidence exam lab—your thinking was very thorough.”
