The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Can You Seize a Blade with Bare Hands?

As soon as those words were spoken, everyone fell into deep thought.

Li Jian looked at Jiang An and asked, ”Are you certain that the fracture was definitely caused by the impact of a traffic accident?”

Jiang An nodded.

”I’m sure!”

”Previously, I co-authored a paper with my forensic professor in college titled ’Analysis of Injury Characteristics in Traffic Accidents’, where there were many cases involving fractures from front bumper collisions.”

”In the winter, victims wear more clothes, so due to the cushioning of the clothing, there won’t be obvious subcutaneous bruising at the fracture site.”

”However, in the summer, when victims wear thinner clothes, noticeable abrasions will form on the skin.”

”Based on the initial analysis of the fracture’s time of formation, the victim should have been injured between May and June.”

”During that time of year, Jiangcheng’s climate is already very hot, almost like summer.”

”So, getting injured during that period is very consistent with seasonal clothing characteristics.”

After Jiang An’s explanation and analysis, many people nodded in agreement.

Captain Li Jian said, ”In that case, let’s focus our investigation on Qin Xiao.”

”As for why she lied to the doctor, that may unravel gradually in the future.”

”Wan, immediately verify the identity information based on the patient’s details in the medical records.”

”Yes!”

Wan quickly took the medical records and searched using the police internal system.

Five minutes later, he walked into the meeting room.

”Mr. Li! We’ve found it.”

”According to the personnel information collected in the internal network system, Qin Xiao was recorded working at Platinum Han KTV.”

Mr. Li stood up and said, ”Let’s go have a look!”

Immediately, two police cars roared out, leaving the police station.

An hour later, the group arrived at the entrance of Platinum Han KTV.

It was currently the business hours of the KTV.

After getting out of the car, Captain Li Jian went straight inside.

Wan showed his ID and said, ”Police investigation! I’m looking for your manager.”

Seeing a dozen policemen, the cashier at the bar was somewhat surprised and quickly said, ”I’ll call the manager down right away.”

Two minutes later, a slender woman walked over.

”Hello, officers! I’m the manager of Platinum Han.”

Seeing guests arrive, she smiled and said, ”Please be seated in the private room, and if there’s anything you need, I’ll do my best to assist you.”

Li Jian nodded.

The group followed her to private room 111.

After taking their seats, Li Jian got straight to the point and asked, ”Do you have an employee named Qin Xiao here?”

The woman opposite them replied, ”She was once our employee.”

”However, she suddenly became unreachable later on.”

Hearing this, Li Jian felt a sudden jolt in his heart.

He already had a judgment in his mind that the female deceased should be Qin Xiao.

A living person, with normal intelligence, suddenly disappearing implies a high possibility of death.

Next, Captain Li Jian asked, ”Did she ever get hospitalized for a fracture?”

The woman nodded and said, ”I think it was around May or June last year that she was hospitalized for a fracture.”

”Which part was fractured at that time?”

”I remember it was her leg. I even gave her a three-month leave then.”

”Which leg?”

After thinking for a while, she answered, ”I think it was her left leg.”

Li Jian and Jiang An exchanged a glance and both nodded.

Subsequently, Jiang An asked, ”How did her leg get injured at that time?”

The woman immediately responded, ”She fell!”

”Really?”

”That’s right, she fell!”

Li Jian noticed her gaze was somewhat evasive, a clear sign of lying.

He said sternly, ”There are thirteen policemen here.”

”You’re lying, don’t you think we can tell?”

Suddenly, the woman looked around, a trace of panic flashing across her face.

”Exactly how did she get injured?”

Li Jian asked again seriously.

After a long pause, the woman finally said, ”One night in May last year, a customer drank too much and intended to drive away. Qin Xiao escorted him to the car.”

”However, the man didn’t see Qin Xiao walking past the front of the car and started the vehicle directly, knocking her down.”

”Qin Xiao was hospitalized for a fractured leg because of that.”

Li Jian inquired, ”Why didn’t you report it to the police back then?”

The woman said, ”Because the man had been drinking, he compensated privately.”

”Moreover, he was a platinum member of Platinum Han, so the issue was downplayed.”

Hearing this, everyone thought of Jiang An’s judgment, ”Inconsistencies imply something unusual.”

The accompanying officers from the police station turned to look at Jiang An with admiration in their eyes.

With this explanation, it all made sense.

Now, it is almost certain that the deceased is Qin Xiao.

Then, the woman opposite asked, ”Officers, may I know where she is now?”

”We suspect she might be dead!”

”Dead?”

The woman widened her eyes, covering her mouth with both hands, looking horrified.

Li Jian explained, ”We’re here today to investigate this matter.”

”Can you tell us about Qin Xiao’s basic situation?”

The woman calmed herself and said, ”In November last year, she didn’t come to work for several consecutive days, and we couldn’t contact her. She still has a month’s salary unclaimed.”

”At the time, I thought she had found a wealthy suitor and didn’t care about the small amount of money, but I never imagined she had died.”

Li Jian asked, ”Did she show any abnormalities before her disappearance?”

The woman shook her head, ”Everything was as usual,”

”Her job was just to drink with guests and sing songs, very straightforward.”

”Before she disappeared, did she ever offend anyone at work or have arguments with guests?”

After thinking for a moment, the woman said, ”No, she worked here for over three years and was an old employee.”

”She knew her boundaries at work and never had disagreements with guests.”

Then Li Jian asked, ”Are you aware of her love life?”

”I’m not sure, but I heard she was still single.”

The woman continued, ”Qin Xiao had a great figure and looked sweet, probably a lot of people wanted to pursue her.”

”Do you know who they might be?”

”I know the male service staff in the store all liked her.”

”I’m not sure about the guests.”

After pausing for a moment, Li Jian asked, ”Do you know where she lived?”

”I do.”

”When she had the fracture, I visited her at her home.”

Li Jian asked, ”Where is it?”

”Coastal District.”

”Take us there!”

Just after exiting Platinum Han KTV, Captain Li Jian said, ”Wan, contact the nearest patrol police for support immediately.”

Wan was taken aback and asked, ”Mr. Li, do we need patrol police support just to check the residence?”

Li Jian said gravely, ”We aren’t equipped.”

”If that’s the primary murder scene, and the killer is still inside.”

”Can you confront a blade barehanded?”
