The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Sharp Blade Detectives, Another Case!

Meanwhile.

In Interrogation Room 2, Qin Yan was still making a final struggle.

Chen He said firmly, ”You have a wound on your palm, formed during the murder.”

”Eight years ago, the three of you committed the crime and left; you were the driver.”

”That’s why the blood on your hand remained on the steering wheel and gear knob.”

Qin Yan glanced at Chen He and said indifferently, ”Do you have evidence?”

”You police don’t conduct investigations based on subjective speculation, right?”

”Since there’s no evidence, please don’t slander.”

As soon as Qin Yan finished speaking, Li Jian pushed the door open and came in.

”Need evidence?”

”Then I’ll tell you the evidence and make you convinced.”

Then, Captain Li Jian said in a deep voice, ”In Interrogation Room 3 next door, sits your partner Wang Chuang.”

”So what?”

Qin Yan slightly tilted her head and said, ”He is guilty! He’s the one who took hostages.”

”I have no relation to him; I didn’t break the law!”

Li Jian pulled over a chair and sat down, saying, ”Aren’t you interested in what he told us?”

”Not interested at all; I just want to hire a lawyer and leave early.”

Li Jian changed his tone and said with a stern face, ”Lawyer? Even an all-star legal team can’t defend you out of this situation.”

”Wang Chuang has described the criminal facts involving the three of you thoroughly.”

Qin Yan said, ”Stop trying to scare me!”

”I didn’t break the law; I’m innocent!”

Li Jian smiled at the corners of his mouth, looked around, and said, ”Many people say they’re innocent the first time they come into this interrogation room.”

”In the end, when they leave here, they all receive a guilty verdict.”

”It is said that you and he first conspired for revenge after a drunken discussion at the bar?”

”And that you two got acquainted with Lei Ming due to a flat tire before hitting the highway on a business trip?”

”I also know the exact location where you buried the crime tools and blood-stained clothes in the back mountains.”

Upon hearing this, Qin Yan’s eyes widened, staring at Li Jian.

After a long pause, Li Jian said, ”Do you think these three key events occurred at the right time and place?”

Instantly, Qin Yan clasped her hands together, her face turning ashen.

Finally, Li Jian said, ”You can choose to say nothing, but it won’t affect the handling of the case.”

”Apart from the identification by the other two accomplices, the bloodstains left by your right hand in the car are also good evidence.”

A moment later, Qin Yan leaned back, slumping into the interrogation chair.

Immediately, Captain Li Jian turned and said, ”Mr. Chen, the rest is up to you.”

”Mr. Li, okay!”

Li Jian walked out of the interrogation room and dialed the phone number of the head of the local police station at the back mountain, asking them to immediately search for the buried crime tools and blood-stained clothes.

Then he pushed open the door to Interrogation Room 1.

Lei Ming immediately stood up, asking excitedly, ”It’s almost 24 hours; are you letting me go?”

Li Jian calmly walked to the opposite side, sitting down in a chair.

”Letting you go?”

”You’re thinking too simply!”

”What does that mean? I didn’t break the law; why are you continuing to detain me?”

Lei Ming’s face was filled with anger.

Li Jian said, ”Your other two accomplices Qin Yan and Wang Chuang have already confessed.”

”Do you still want to put up a desperate struggle?”

Lei Ming glanced at Li Jian, smiled, and said, ”What they said has nothing to do with me.”

Li Jian said harshly, ”The crime vehicle is at your auto repair shop, with a lot of blood inside the car.”

”You got acquainted with Qin Yan and Wang Chuang after a tire repair service for a blowout.”

”Do you think I’m right?”

Instantly, Lei Ming’s smile disappeared, his face turned gray as death.

Twenty minutes later, Mr. Ma, Jiang An, Zhang Yean, and Wu You returned to the police station.

As soon as they got out of the car, they went straight to the interrogation room.

In the corridor of the interrogation room,

Mr. Ma asked urgently, ”How is it?”

Li Jian smiled and said, ”All three have confessed, their statements completely coincide.”

”All three were hurt by emotions and chose the most extreme way to retaliate.”

The murder case from eight years ago was successfully solved, and Mr. Ma was in a very good mood.

He smiled and said, ”Director Peng gave us three days to solve the case.”

”We solved it in half a day.”

”This time, the criminal investigation team really brought great honor to Jiangcheng’s police.”

Then Mr. Ma turned to Jiang An.

He smiled and said, ”Comrade Jiang An, thank you for your hard work!”

”Without your advice on this difficult case, the truth might have remained hidden forever.”

Instantly, everyone in the corridor looked at Jiang An, applauding.

Jiang An smiled and said, ”This is the collective credit, I merely shared some personal opinions.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Jian said, ”Mr. Ma, see how humble Jiang An is.”

”Shouldn’t someone like him be rewarded?”

Mr. Ma said, ”Of course!”

”Given the vicious impact and the difficulty of solving this case.”

”I propose we apply to the higher-ups: Jiang An for individual first-class merit, and the criminal investigation team for collective first-class merit.”

Instantly, thunderous applause sounded in the corridor again.

Third-class merit while seated, second-class merit while lying down, first-class merit for the family.

These three words, although a bit exaggerated, were enough to show the value of first-class merit.

After the applause, Director Ma dialed Director Peng’s phone number.

”Hello!”

”Director Peng, the old case from eight years ago has been solved.”

”Solved...?”

”So quickly?”

Director Ma said excitedly, ”The three suspects have confessed and pleaded guilty, admitting the crime process without denial.”

After a moment of surprise, Director Peng said, ”Criminal cases must withstand legal scrutiny.”

”We absolutely cannot pursue speedy resolutions in a way that causes injustices.”

Director Ma said solemnly, ”In my 30 years in criminal investigation, this is the most reassuring case.”

After a while, Director Peng said, ”Mr. Ma! You solved the case in half a day.”

”The Jiangcheng Police Team certainly hasn’t let me down!”

”I believe you are the sharp force guarding the city.”

”Thank you, Director Peng, for the recognition; our police team will always safeguard this city’s safety.”

After hanging up the phone, Mr. Ma said, ”Mr. Li, you did an excellent job in handling this old murder case.”

”Quickly organize the process of solving the case into a special report and submit it to the provincial department.”

”This time, we have kicked off Jiangcheng’s special action of solving old murder cases.”

Li Jian said, ”Yes! Mr. Ma!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Jian’s phone rang.

He took out his phone, the caller ID showed it was the head of the back mountain police station.

”Hello!”

”Mr. Li, we’ve found the location you sent to me.”

Li Jian asked, ”How is it? Did you find the crime tools and bloody clothes?”

”Yes! All packed in a suitcase.”

”But...”

Upon hearing this, Li Jian instantly had a bad premonition.

”Mr. Zhang, is there a problem?”

”Just now, about five meters away from the suitcase, we found a pile of White Bone.”

Li Jian hurriedly said, ”Protect the scene, we’ll be right over!”
