Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 349: He paved a way for us

Grey was still undergoing his transformation. He had already reached the peak of the 12th Level of the Second Rank.

He could technically take the step to reach the Pseudo-3rd Rank right now, but he held back. If he did, his foundation would become unstable, and he would suffer from an energy overload. He would blow up.

He held the Foundation Key, but it took time to fully use it—at least a month to absorb its powers completely.

But, the peak of the 2nd Rank was more than enough. It was more than enough to crush his enemy!

His Death Ascension Art had already ended when he reached the 12th level. This meant he was fully capable of ending Tian Yuan’s life right now. Victory was certain.

Grey slowly began to open his eyes. However, to his surprise, he realized a presence was right next to him. A presence one inch away from eliminating him!

He knew who it was. It was none other than Tian Yuan. He was going for Grey’s head, trying to destroy him completely. If he succeeded, there would be no second chance.

Just as Grey was about to move, something within him stirred uncontrollably.

Grey’s expression changed rapidly.

This ”something” had existed within him for a long time. It had accompanied him since the day he crossed over into this world. This power allowed him to reach heights impossible for normal people. It allowed him to defy existence itself.

Now, sensing its host was in mortal danger, it could not sit still. It rose up with immense power that could destroy the world and a fury that could burn reality.

BOOM!

A terrifying power erupted out of Grey and swept Tian Yuan away. At the same time, a chant that sounded like a glitch in reality began to ring out within Grey’s mind.

”Defy Death. Defy the Dao. Defy Heaven.” ”Defy Death. Defy the Dao. Defy Heaven.”

It rang repeatedly without stopping as the power became even stronger. Jasmine, Lia, and Little Hong all turned to look at the sky in utter shock.

By now, the chant had forced its way into the physical world.

”Defy Death. Defy the Dao. Defy Heaven.”

The entire Southern Region heard it. The following moment, blinding light burst out, and a lotus formed in the sky.

A Chaos Lotus.

The instant it bloomed, Tian Yuan’s body stiffened.

”W-What is that?” Tian Yuan was stunned beyond words.

He looked at his hands and realized he was bleeding profusely from every orifice. Before he knew it, his vision was flooded with the color red.

The following instant, his figure directly burst into an explosion.

Tian Yuan had died.

The Western Region

The momentum of the lotus reached its peak. The entire Western Region then heard the chant.

”Defy Death. Defy the Dao. Defy Heaven.”

The ethereal voice rang out across the world, sending chills down the spines of countless beings.

”J-just what is this power?”

”Could it be a legendary expert from the starry sky has descended onto the Blue Star?”

Leon kneeled in the air, his face trembling in shock. The power that had descended caused his domain to shrink in fear, as if it had met an existence it shouldn’t have. The pressure permeated the entire world. It couldn’t be stopped.

No, how can this be? Where did this power come from?

Leon couldn’t identify the source. Even the Lesser Heaven was being suppressed heavily. It didn’t make sense. His plan was perfect; how could it crumble now?

At the same time, the Life Essence within the Western Region stirred. Under the guidance of the absolute power that had descended, the essence gathered toward one point and entered a mysterious place known as the Reincarnation River.

The Chaos Lotus had granted the millions who suffered today a second chance, allowing them to safely cross over.

”Is it really a legendary expert from the starry sky?” Wang Bao couldn’t help but ask.

Just then, Bai Yue turned to the other side, and her Heavenly Workings Eye flickered. Immediately, she saw a man face-to-face with the Lesser Heaven. He held a halo above his head, with wing and circuit-like patterns running across his body.

”It is my Master,” Bai Yue said in surprise and relief.

She recognized the man in one look. This was none other than Grey Lockhart.

Prior to achieving sainthood, she had received a task from the Heavenly Dao: ”Accompany that man for countless eras as he forges a new world. Become his follower.”

Grey Lockhart was now her master, and her duty was to serve him.

”Master has paved a way for us.” Bai Yue turned to the other experts. ”The Life Essence has been cleared up. Everyone, we must deploy the barrier now, or it will be too late.”

Nobody questioned who her master was, but they all quickly got serious. The Grand Polarity Master immediately took the front and formed the barrier, with the other experts assisting him.

Leon naturally noticed this. There was no way he was just going to stay still.

”You mongrels really think I will let you do that?”

Leon’s figure escaped from the clutches of the absolute power pressing down on him as he rapidly shot toward the Grand Polarity Master.

However, just as he came closer, he felt a suction force from behind. To his horror, he realized that the Lesser Heaven was trying to devour him to contend against the absolute power!

But just as he was about to be fully assimilated, the World Will abruptly emerged and delivered a decisive attack on the Lesser Heaven.

With the power of the Chaos Lotus and the World Will combined, the Lesser Heaven couldn’t hold its ground anymore. The 5th Rank Lesser Heaven fell unconscious immediately and crashed into the Western Region with a thud.

”Now!” seeing the movement from the World Will, the Grand Polarity Master shouted.

Immediately, a sealing array activated. A barrier rapidly formed from all four directions of the Western Region.

The Western Region swiftly vanished from ordinary eyes as the barrier took its place. Now, the region was sealed shut. No visible eyes would be able to see it, as it existed within a place between the main and sub-dimensional space of the Blue Star.

But its reemergence will be sooner than one thinks.
