Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 319: The Lesser Heaven Will DEVOUR YOU

”Guess what I found.” Grey laughed as he glanced at Lin Fang.

[What is it?] The system inquired.

”Wait, I’ll show you.” The screen on the several screens that were tightly packed and grouped together flickered, and a brand new report appeared on the screen. This one was even older than the ice wall one.

[Archives of Lesser Heaven!]

[Lesser Heaven. Huh?]

”Huh, there is something related to the Lesser Heaven?” Lin Fang was pleasantly surprised.

”Looks like you know a thing or two about it, scrap metal. Or else you wouldn’t have given Lin Fang such a quest.” Grey glanced at the floating screen and spoke.

[Of course I know about it.]

[But before I tell you, let’s check the report out.]

”Fine by me.” Grey smiled and began playing the report.

Lin Fang, on the other hand, gulped nervously.

[This is a detailed report on the Lesser Heaven.]

[The grand abyssal beast that devours planes and dimensions.]

”...”

”...”

”Cough. Did I just read that correctly, Big Bro Grey?” Lin Fang almost choked after reading the first few sentences.

”You didn’t read wrong.” Grey replied, equally baffled.

Grey shot a mean stare at the system, who just whistled at his glance.

What the f*ck?

Who even puts down an entry to a report like this?

It didn’t even give them the time to prepare for the impact.

Fym devourer of dimensions and planes?

”You dumb scrap metal, you want me to get the essence of such a being?” The next moment, Lin Fang immediately became enraged. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

He thought that maybe this so-called Lesser Heaven might just be a heavenly treasure born from the heavenly power condensing... but never mind.

It’s related to the damn abyss, and it is the so-called devourer of planes and dimensions!

Before he even devoured its essence, it would devour him!

Wait, that sounded wrong. Coughing, Lin Fang awaited the system’s reply.

[Just read ahead, host. I think the report should have something related to it.]

”You might not be a useless scrap metal after all.” Grey glanced at it and spoke.

It knew things well and just sat there idly knowing everything. Maybe it didn’t have a sense of threat or urgency because if Lin Fang just died, it would just go back to the so-called golden finger world?

”Let’s continue reading.” Grey dismissed the thought and continued with the report.

[Classification of Lesser Heavens.]

[Introduction: Lesser Heavens are said to be beings born from the essence of the abyssal god. They first take the form of an embryo and must be teleported into a plane of existence or a live planet full of energy to fully awaken.]

[Once it matures, it can begin to devour planes and dimensions to constantly make itself stronger.]

[Depending on the scale of the world, the higher the level it’s placed on, the stronger it comes out.]

[The lesser the plane of existence, the harder it is to grow.]

[The Lesser Heavens are the ultimate source of the abyss. It devours worlds for the abyssal god and returns the essence of life and existence to the god as a tribute in return for power.]

[The Lesser Heavens are the destroyers of worlds.]

[Even if an abyssal lord finds a Lesser Heaven while they are travelling interdimensionally, they must bow down before its presence.]

[They are closer to the abyssal god than the abyssal lords.]

[And one such being exists in Blue Star.]

[Its existence and emergence is a sheer coincidence.]

[It fell into this planet from who knows where, but it fought with the top expert that forged the ice wall of the old era, when he sealed the planet of its energy for years to stop the spread of the abyss.]

[The Lesser Heaven was defeated by that expert, and it fell deep into the Southern Region. But from what we know, the expert was also severely injured in the process. He used up all of his origin source power in the last moment to completely seal the planet off its energy, fully believing the Lesser Heaven had died, and created a safe haven for the people of his brother’s empire in the Starcrest Continent.]

[But the Lesser Heaven cannot be eliminated easily.]

[As long as even its tiny source remains, it can take root as an embryo and begin to grow back to its full strength once again.]

[The Lesser Heaven is currently in hibernation, and we have confirmed that it’s currently back to the 2nd rank.]

[In a few years, it should reach the 3rd rank and then fourth.]

After that, there was a small gap in the report. Grey scrolled down a bit further, and the rest of the words appeared.

[A new situation has arisen.]

[Due to the Lesser Heaven absorbing the ambient energy of the world, the energy in the Southern Region had thinned, and when a fourth-rank expert descended down into the Southern Region, his body suddenly dismembered, and he was turned into a blob of energy and essence for the Lesser Heaven.]

[It’s terrifying. The fourth-ranked beings have no resistance against its powers. The Grand Priest Leon mentioned that this was the authority of the abyssal god. As long as you have a domain, which could in theory be considered a dimension, the Lesser Heaven will notice you and devour your entire existence.]

[And you cannot stop it either.]

[Fearing this, several 3rd-ranking experts of the High Order fled.]

[Fled to the floating cities, which is the main base of operation for the High Order.]

[If the calculations are correct, the Lesser Heaven will wake up soon.]

[It is waiting for a resonance from the abyss to fully awaken.]

[That’s where the life catalyst plan to use the life force of citizens to force open portals to the abyss comes into place.]

[It can form the necessary resonance it requires with the abyss to fully come back into operation.]

[With its emergence, other high order members don’t bother coming to the southern region.]

[That’s also the reason why the federation doesn’t come down in here.]

[The matters of lesser heaven is top class secret and only a select few knows about it.]
