Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 320: Lesser Heaven Resonance

And once the report ended, below it, there was a rough drawing of the thing.

It looked like a humanoid, but with symbols going around it, and there were two floating wings behind it and a black halo.

”It does look good.” Lin Fang couldn’t help but compliment it.

”Looks like a mythical creature.”

Grey shot him a side eye when he heard his remark.

”That thing is gonna eat us all as soon as it wakes up.”

”Haha...” Lin Fang immediately laughed bitterly as soon as he heard this.

”That is also true.”

”So there is a lesser heaven under us right now.”

Just the thought alone was scary.

”What we should be scared about is its awakening.”

”I’m sure you suddenly getting the quest to take its essence must have some correlation. Am I wrong, scrap metal.”

”The lesser heaven is awakening soon, isn’t it?”

”Maybe in a month or even faster.”

Grey slowly turned towards the system window hovering beside Lin Fang.

It was silent for a moment, then it spoke.

[The lesser heaven was initially supposed to wake up in a few years....]

[When the fate holder became stronger.]

[But. The butterfly effect of you distorting the world completely changed the world.]

[I don’t know what exactly caused it, but it is now emerging several years early due to this.]

[And I believe the changes to the Abyssal Mistress might be the reason.]

[She’s a major being with immense fate.]

[Killing her isn’t easy. Fate played a huge role in her escaping from your clutches.]

[And now you indirectly eliminating an abyssal being in Nova City, who was her son, has drastically changed the world as we know it.]

”Just from that..?” Grey was confused.

”Even if I didn’t go to rescue Lia in Nova City, that abyssal being should’ve still died, right?”

How else would Lia survive?

Because as far as he was concerned, Lia shouldn’t have been able to awaken her god powers that early without the help of Little Hong’s presence.

”Unless... someone else decided to step in.” Grey thought hard, yet he couldn’t find anyone that could actually defeat the guy.

But then he suddenly remembered.

”That’s right. She had a butler, didn’t she?”

Grey suddenly realized.

She had a butler named Albert. He seemed to be a beast evolutionary path follower, but the thing was, he never appeared after that.

It was almost like he was removed from the scenes.

”Could it be him?”

Grey vividly remembered, a few months back, he had asked Lia about Nova City, and even then there was no mention of him.

That butler was faithful to Lia and would go to any lengths to protect her.

But he seemed to have vanished from the city itself?

What could’ve possibly happened?

And Lia doesn’t seem to concern herself with him either.

He must ask her about him after he was done.

Maybe, if he hadn’t arrived, that dude must’ve come just in time and saved Lia and the city?

”How confusing.” Grey mumbled. ”Do you guys know anyone that can see into other potential outcomes or the future or something?”

”...”

[...]

Fuck, if they knew someone like that, they would have already put them inside a basement so both the system can level up and Lin Fang get stronger faster by completing quests by looking at the outcomes.

”Yeah, never mind. Forget I said anything.”

Just as Grey said that, Grey thought of someone else.

Someone that was subtly mentioned by Brandon.

The Seer.

From what he had realized from the words of Brandon, it was clear that the Seer played an important role in all of this.

She must be able to see the future and know more about the working of fate.

He needed to find her.

With that thought settled, he continued scrolling. There were more reports in the servers, and after going through a thousand of them, he finally found something interesting.

[Western Region Archives]

[There was a sudden call from the main branch several months ago.]

[The reason was the Western Region.]

[The western branch had made impressive progress in the west.]

[They are almost conquered, and the main ruler there had already fallen under the control of the High Order.]

[The Grand Priest had issued orders.]

[They will completely take over the Western Region and then take the lives of millions there to summon another Lesser Heaven. This will increase the resonance power for the Lesser Heaven in the Southern Region to wake up once more.]

[Due to this, more personnel from this branch had crossed over to the Western Region from here, short staffing us.]

[I hope it comes to an end. I hate being overworked.]

[But on the other hand, if the Lesser Heaven wakes, won’t everyone here die?]

[Oh well. We’re doomed either way...]

[End]

”These reports don’t feel like a report.” Lin Fang said with twitching lips.

”The Western Region, huh?” Grey was thoughtful.

If he wasn’t wrong, there should be a chaos seal there.

But now wasn’t the time for him to go to the Western Region.

He would most likely die in an instant if he stepped foot into the Western Region.

For now, his current priority should be finding the Lesser Heaven, use his heaven-defying comprehension to comprehend something from it, and get stronger.

He also needed to find the Seer.

And most importantly, evacuate the entirety of the Southern Region to safety.

If the Lesser Heaven is emerging soon, it will without a doubt cause destruction to the Southern Region.

He was now its undeniable ruler. What will there be to rule if everyone dies?

For starters, he will contact the overseer of the Southern Region and arrange something.

One thing was for sure, he will do something about all this.

And he already had formed a plan in his head.

”What are you smiling about, Big Bro Grey?” Lin Fang, seeing Grey, asked.

”Nothing.” Grey stretched lazily as he turned around.

”Come, let’s go. We need to get out and inform some people.”

”And also announce that the Southern Region has finally been conquered.” Grey said with a smile.
