Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 348: Your brother is the imposter

A few minutes ago, in the Southern Region.

Purple brilliance shot constantly into the sky like a tidal wave. Grey was fully undergoing his transformation. Genetic markings lit up one by one.

With each genetic marking that broke, Grey’s aura soared higher. With the fifth genetic marking breaking, Grey’s spine underwent transformation, and tribulation lightning sparked violently as electricity hit his body.

Then, his muscles transformed as the sixth marking emerged. With the seventh, his seven orifices transformed. On the eighth, his organs underwent law reshaping, and on the ninth, it was his nerves. By the tenth, his brain underwent transformation, and on the eleventh, his skin reformed. Finally, on the twelfth, his entire cellular structure became infused with heavenly tribulation.

Tian Yuan, observing this scene from the side, immediately rushed out.

He felt a powerful, crushing pressure coming from Grey, and it was growing stronger every second.

At the same time, he noticed the commotion from the West. He felt a massive eruption of life force and, most importantly, world-breaking source power. He knew he had to end this battle here and leave this continent immediately.

BOOM!

As he thought that, a spatial crack suddenly emerged, and a giant hand reached out of it. It was none other than the Lesser Heaven dormant within the Southern Region. Resonating with the power, it had awakened once more and was slowly descending.

It’s time to end this.

As he thought that, Tian Yuan charged toward Grey. However, there was still someone observing from the ground. Jasmine immediately saw through Tian Yuan’s intention and rushed forward. Her Projection Frame activated without resistance, and immediately, she was right in front of Tian Yuan, stopping him in his tracks.

”My, my. I didn’t expect the Forefather of Hexcore to be so shameless as to directly attack a junior while he is undergoing transformation,” Jasmine said with a mock sigh. ”It’s such a shame.”

”Move out of my way, mortal woman. You cannot stop me,” Tian Yuan said with a sneer.

However, just as he said that, a presence suddenly descended. Two presences, to be exact.

”She might not be able to stop you. But what if there were three of us?”

Both Jasmine and Tian Yuan turned their heads toward the source of the voice. It was none other than Lia and Little Hong.

”Actually, make that a hundred,” Lia said indifferently.

Immediately, several hell portals sprang up behind her. Infernals crawled out of them one by one. The temperature around the area rose sharply the instant she arrived.

”It’s you.” Jasmine was slightly surprised. She knew Lia and Little Hong; they had appeared on the news several times.

”Thank you for taking care of Grey until now,” Lia said, turning to Jasmine. She saw how Jasmine had stepped in front of Grey to protect him, and she was grateful.

”It’s nothing. I owe Chief Grey. He saved me countless times while fighting with that shameless beast over there,” Jasmine spoke with a chuckle, pointing at Tian Yuan.

”The Chaos Seal. How surprising. So someone actually managed to awaken the Axe’s consciousness, huh?” Tian Yuan looked at Little Hong with interest.

”Are you with the imposter of my brother?” Little Hong frowned slightly and asked.

”Imposter?” Tian Yuan chuckled. ”The real imposter in the current reality is your own brother, Hong. I will make it clear to you. The Dharma Ending Age is over, and a new Heavenly Way Age has begun. In this world, there is no place for the Old Heaven, and I will make sure that I eliminate all of his spawns.”

Then, he observed Lia more intently before speaking. ”And besides that, to think I would encounter a God in this place, of all places. Usually, Gods are born in the higher planes, not here in the mortal planes.”

Tian Yuan paused, a flicker of interest in his eyes. He cupped his hands together in a sign of respect. ”Why is a legendary existence such as yourself concerning yourself with mortal matters?”

Seeing this, both Jasmine and Lia were pleasantly surprised. Wasn’t he an enemy? Why was he showing respect?

”Why wouldn’t I concern myself with it?” Lia asked. ”Grey is someone dear to me, and I won’t let anyone harm him in any way.” Her voice turned cold. ”And if they do, I will make sure that they pay a price worse than death. This includes that Lesser Heaven over there.”

Hearing this, Tian Yuan sneered. The respect vanished instantly.

”The Gods are existences that exist beyond all. They are legendary beings that signify true transcendence. They do not concern themselves with worldly matters. They are indifferent to the passage of time, indifferent to anything beneath them. They see endless reality as nothing but a dream while they slumber. You, who concern yourself with mortal matters, do not have the dignity of a God,” Tian Yuan added with a scornful look. ”And since that is the case, I don’t need to hesitate either.”

Tian Yuan shot forward. Seeing this, Lia immediately unleashed the army of Infernals.

Tian Yuan merely smiled. ”From the looks of it, you only awakened recently. If I had met you a year after your awakening, I probably wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to you. But now?”

As he finished his words, he crossed forward and shot directly through the Infernals. The monsters that charged at him were directly cut into several pieces as they fell to the ground. The following moment, he slapped Lia right across her shoulder.

BOOM!

Her figure flickered as she fell hard to the ground.

”You cannot hurt Sister Lia!” Seeing this, Little Hong was enraged. Chaos Law erupted from her and shot toward Tian Yuan, but it was all for nothing. There was too much disparity between Tian Yuan’s law comprehension and Little Hong’s. The heavenly tribulation directly nullified her attacks, and Little Hong was sent flying as well.

Seeing this, Jasmine couldn’t sit still. She had already sneaked up behind Tian Yuan while he was fighting the others.

”How could you have the heart to attack a child? You monster!”

As she screamed, she drove her dagger right toward Tian Yuan’s neck. But just as quickly, Tian Yuan turned around and caught her wrist with an indifferent look on his face.

”The ’child’ you mentioned is older than your great-great-ancestor and the entirety of NeoStar.”

As he said that, he twisted Jasmine’s hand violently and then threw her to the ground as well. Wasting no more time, he descended right next to Grey.
