Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 332: creating convergence principles core

”Now that everything is over, I need to go check out the ice wall and then move on to the other work I have.” Grey spoke after seeing the binding vow successfully completed.

”But before you leave, Chief Grey, what just happened just now?” Jasmine hurriedly asked.

”Why did the heavens suddenly attack us? I know it was an attack, I could sense its intent. But after that, we did the binding vow again, and it was fine this time.”

”Chief Grey, is it related to your sainthood?” Jasmine proposed as she thought hard. ”There is no way the heavens would attack us, especially when a being like you exists.”

”There was a saint in my world too. He’s called the Honored One and spoke directly to the Grand Order, which is what the Heavenly Dao is called in our world.”

”The Honored One?” Grey’s lips twitched at this, but he didn’t comment on it.

”So then, why would it attack us?” Jasmine asked thoughtfully. ”Could it be that you aren’t a saint?”

”No, that can’t be.” Jasmine frowned. ”It’s clear that you are a saint. The halo you have is proof of it.”

”If that’s the case then... could it be that another Heavenly Dao exists, and it took notice of you because your sainthood belongs to another one?” Jasmine mumbled.

Grey’s eyes widened.

This woman’s deductive ability was a little too powerful.

He hadn’t even given her a clue.

But on the other hand, it made sense.

Before Jasmine could say anything else, Grey spoke. ”What you said is indeed correct. There does exist another Heavenly Dao.”

”So I was right?” Jasmine’s expression lit up as she immediately became excited.

”I knew I was right.” She said proudly. ”This miss is never wrong about anything.”

She began laughing like a chuunibyou with eighth-grade syndrome again. When she finally stopped, she raised another question.

”But why did I summon another Heavenly Dao? What’s the connection here?”

”The connection?” Grey shook his head. ”I don’t know much, but it’s probably related to the Heavenly Paths.”

”It’s most likely that modern magic belongs to the Heavenly Path of the Heavenly Dao that descended and attacked me.”

Jasmine appeared thoughtful after hearing this.

”Alright, give me a moment. I am about to do something.” Grey didn’t explain further. He directly sat down cross-legged without waiting for Jasmine’s reply and began creating his Convergence Principles Core.

The Convergence Principles Core followed the reverse ideology of the golden ratio, just like his base Nexus Overclock. However, this core was created using energy to act as both a stabilizer and an impact absorber.

He had never thought this far before, and now that he had realized it, he hesitated no further.

Wrhmm!

The Nexus Energy in his elixir surged as he swiftly formed a core using energy, mimicking the concept of the golden ratio and its operation.

Energy flowed according to the reverse principles of the golden ratio, and at the same time, Grey pushed Nexus Overclock to four hundred percent.

Indeed, there was no strain.

The core pulsed once and absorbed all the pressure. He could now safely use Nexus Overclock at four hundred percent.

He was now as strong as a second-level third ranker.

The Nexus Overclock only remained at four hundred percent briefly before he returned it to base and stood back up.

Jasmine stared at him in bewilderment.

She had thought he was about to attack her when the Nexus Overclock patterns emerged, but she was clearly mistaken.

”Looks like you are done, Chief Grey.” Jasmine smiled.

Grey simply nodded, still observing the core within him.

Then, he suddenly frowned.

”The infernals.” Grey’s expression turned grim.

”What happened, Chief Grey?” Jasmine tilted her head.

”I suddenly lost connection with the infernals, and I can’t see what happened. It appears to be interference.” Grey frowned.

Killing the infernals wasn’t easy.

It took a lot of skill to pull off, and ordinary pseudo–third rankers wouldn’t be able to kill them.

”Unless someone from the High Order has appeared.” Grey’s expression darkened.

”Someone from the High Order?” Jasmine’s expression turned serious as well.

She knew all too well about the Abyssal Mistress escaping, but even she couldn’t do anything in that situation.

That was because a powerful entity had been protecting the Abyssal Mistress.

”But if it were a High Order member, they should have already entered this secret realm.” Jasmine reasoned.

Now that the infernals had been eliminated, the next course of action for a High Order member would be entering the secret realm they controlled.

But the fact that they hadn’t meant the other party was either unaware of the realm’s existence or unable to enter.

After all, if it were the High Order, there would be no way to scare them away.

”Now that you say that, you’re right.” Grey glanced at her.

”It shouldn’t be a fourth ranker, that’s for sure.” He added.

From the files, it was clear that the moment a fourth ranker stepped in, the Lesser Heaven’s authority would activate and swallow the fourth ranker who had formed a domain.

”Chief Grey, as long as it isn’t a fourth ranker, my AV can outrun them.” Jasmine grabbed Grey’s hand excitedly.

”Let’s leave this realm and escape together.” She added with an eager expression.

”You... what.” Grey looked helpless.

”Let’s run away, Chief Grey. Isn’t running away exciting? I used to run away in my old world to go sightseeing. My father didn’t allow me to go out that often.” Jasmine chuckled.

”Fine. If the enemy is too strong for us, we will flee.” Grey nodded.

With that, they both entered the AV.

”I’m curious. How did you tear open space using this AV? Can I take a look at it? I also want to implement it on my own AV.” Grey asked as he entered Jasmine’s AV.

”Oh, that old thing. It’s from my old world. I just remade it here with some modifications. Space on Blue Star is far thinner than I expected, so it didn’t require much power.” Jasmine replied.

Grey nodded and sat down.

Soon, the AV took off.

Screens flickered in front of Jasmine as space tore apart and the AV passed through it.

The moment they entered the spatial crack, a red blaring alarm rang out, and Jasmine’s expression immediately changed.

”What is this?” Jasmine frowned as she examined the warning.

Before she could activate the accelerators, thunder boomed violently across the sky.

In the next instant, the AV completely lost power.

”Not good.” Grey reacted instantly. He sensed danger looming above them and didn’t hesitate for even a moment.

He shot toward Jasmine and grabbed her tightly.

With her in his embrace, Grey teleported away.

Boom!

The instant they vanished, the AV was destroyed.

”Not my AV!” Jasmine cried out, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

But a far greater threat now loomed above them.

A man dressed in white robes stood in the air.

And beside him was a familiar face.

The Abyssal Mistress.
