Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2098: Chapter 2093: Astonishing Talent

Yuan Yunong was stunned as she listened; she could hardly believe that such professional language could come out of the mouth of a child not yet four years old.

After Ning Chenguang finished speaking, he noticed that Teacher Yuan was standing there, frozen in place.

So he decided to take matters into his own hands, using Ning Chenyang as a model.

”Teacher Yuan, watch closely, it should be like this...”

Seeing the child doing it so adeptly, she followed the demonstration by Ning Chenguang.

”Don’t stop the action! You need to do it repeatedly several times!”

As Ning Chenguang finished speaking, Yuan Yunong hastily did it a few more times, and suddenly, the object stuck in Wang Xiaohu’s throat was expelled.

It was a one-centimeter square piece of braised pork, which had been stuck in Wang Xiaohu’s windpipe.

Once the braised pork was expelled, Wang Xiaohu’s breathing became instantly smooth.

He cried loudly for a while, his face covered in snot and tears.

Yuan Yunong wiped the sweat off her forehead, feeling relief as her heart returned to its normal place.

She comforted Wang Xiaohu with a few words once she saw he was indeed fine, and his complexion returned to normal.

Then she went back to Ning Chenguang and asked him, ”Child, how did you learn this? How do you know this method can expel something stuck in the throat?”

Ning Chenguang tilted his little head and said, ”My mom taught my grandma this! My mom is a doctor; she was worried my brother and I might choke on food, so she taught grandma this method. In case she’s not home when we choke, grandma can save us.”

When An Hao taught the grandma this method, Ning Chenyang and Ning Chenguang were watching nearby.

He remembered every word his mom said clearly.

He remembered how mom taught grandma to do it.

”Really?! How did you remember all these words?” Yuan Yunong looked at him incredulously, her eyes shining as if discovering a pearl.

”I just remember after hearing it once!” Ning Chenguang said.

”Once! How is that possible?” Yuan Yunong was skeptical.

”If you don’t believe me, you can test me.” Ning Chenguang said.

”Alright!” Yuan Yunong casually recited a very tricky Song dynasty poem.

In general, kindergarten students are only required to recite Tang poems, not Song poems.

Because Song poems do not rhyme and are not catchy.

So, not to mention elementary students, even adults find them somewhat challenging to memorize.

As soon as Yuan Yunong finished speaking, she heard Ning Chenguang recite it flawlessly.

Only then did she believe that there really are people in the world who remember things perfectly.

No! Ning Chenguang is still young; it should be called audiographic memory rather than photographic memory.

”Do you understand the content of these words?” This was Yuan Yunong’s second concern.

”Of course.” Ning Chenguang said very seriously, ”Teacher Yuan, you were not accurate just now; Wang Xiaohu was stuck in the windpipe, not the throat. Mom said, the lungs are like a balloon... See, the lungs are here, the heart is here, the stomach...”

The little child then said a lot more, and Yuan Yunong was amazed by the child’s astounding memory.

”Mom has explained it to me; I know the structure of the human body. Since I was young, she would hold me and point at my body, telling me where each organ should be...”
