Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Capítulo 2063: Chapter 2057: Little Brats

How could such an event not involve the two little troublemakers, Ning Chenyang and Ning Chenguang?

They donned thick gloves, rolled the snow into a ball, and stealthily approached Qin Jian from behind, lifting the hem of his uniform and slipping in the snowball.

They imagined their dad’s intense reaction, but to their surprise, he seemed not to feel a thing.

“Dad, are you not cold?” Ning Chenyang tilted his little head and asked.

“Not cold at all!” Qin Jian smiled at the two little rascals, “While you were sound asleep, I was outside taking a snow bath!”

The two little ones had their mouths wide open, and their expressions already conveyed their admiration for Qin Jian.

“So, starting tomorrow! No more laziness, get up and exercise,” Qin Jian said.

“I know! Grandpa said, ‘Train in the coldest days of winter, the hottest days of summer!’” Ning Chenguang eagerly chimed in.

Just then, Commissar Wang was sending his grandson Wang Xiaohu to school. Hearing Ning Chenguang’s words as they passed by,

he disdainfully remarked, “You talk a good game! Who would believe that? Hmph!”

“Wang Xiaohu! Don’t be so smug! If we’re like this now, we could already make you eat dirt! Just wait till we train some more, we’ll definitely beat you up!” Ning Chenguang shouted at the top of his lungs.

“You little brat! Watch me not smack you!” Wang Xiaohu hastily scooped up a snowball from the ground and flung it at Ning Chenguang’s face.

“You brat!” Commissar Wang rushed to stop him, but the snowball still flew through the air.

With quick reflexes, Qin Jian reached out and blocked the snowball, preventing it from hitting Chenguang in the face.

Seeing the snowball didn’t hit Chenguang, Commissar Wang breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing his disobedient grandson, Commissar Wang gritted his teeth, raised his large hand, and smacked Wang Xiaohu’s behind hard.

His strength was substantial, even through the thick padded coat, Wang Xiaohu yelped in pain.

Qin Jian hurried to intervene, “Commissar, please don’t hit him! Xiaohu is still a kid; fights among children shouldn’t be taken too seriously.”

“Did you hear what he just said? So young and already calling his classmate a little brat, getting violent when he doesn’t get his way! You tell me, isn’t he driving me to my wits’ end? Such a good kid, spoiled rotten by his mom and grandma! We’re hoping he’ll join the military, but at this rate, he’d be lucky not to end up in jail!” Commissar Wang said angrily.

He held high hopes for this grandson!

But before the little sapling could grow, it had sprouted quite a few crooked branches!

“You tell me not to call others brats, yet you just called me a brat too.” Wang Xiaohu cried as he vigorously pushed Commissar Wang, then took off running.

Commissar Wang nearly fell, luckily Qin Jian quickly steadied him, helping him regain his balance.

“Commissar, are you alright?”

“I’m fine! Thanks, Qin Jian! I have to chase after this little brat!”

“Be careful!”

Commissar Wang went after Wang Xiaohu, and seeing the scene, An Hao burst into laughter.

“What’s so funny? I don’t see anything amusing about it,” Qin Jian remarked.

“You’re completely right! Wang Xiaohu does need a good spanking.” An Hao laughed and said, “The other day, the two kids got into a fight with Wang Xiaohu, and his mom and grandma came over to make a scene. The old lady even slapped me, but fortunately, my mom gave her a piece of her mind.”
