Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 2057: Chapter 2050: Unable to Prove Innocence

Lin Qiushu has no motive whatsoever!

She certainly wouldn’t suddenly want to leak a secret on a whim!

Besides, such military secrets aren’t something you can just sell off casually.

”Then I went into the ward with him! We must have been just a minute apart! I had just sent him in when you arrived!” Lin Qiushu said, ”That’s all there is!”

”Oh my! Did we encounter a ghost or something?” An Hao said, frustrated, ”I’ve analyzed the entire process! There’s simply no possibility of a leak!”

”Exactly!! That’s why the National Security Bureau came to find my brother, right?”

”It must be.” Because no one else could have leaked the information, as the executor and person in charge of this mission, he inevitably needs to be investigated.

But now a big problem has arisen.

He cannot prove his innocence!

”Then my brother is taking the fall for someone else!” Lin Qiushu said with a frustrated sigh, ”If that’s really the case, it seems the other party is not easy to deal with.”

”Yeah! That’s why I’m so upset!”

”Being upset won’t help! We can only deal with it as it comes! Let’s see what the investigation results show first.”

”That’s all we can do.” An Hao sighed and said.

”Don’t be too anxious! Being anxious now won’t help! I’m afraid I can’t be of much help either. You know, if it’s business-related, I could still help you! But when it comes to matters involving the military, I’m really powerless!” Or rather, willing but unable.

”It’s okay. The thought is what counts!”

The two talked for a while, and when Lin Qiushu noticed it was getting late, she got up to take her leave.

An Hao walked her to the door and said, ”Feel free to visit the compound whenever you have time! We live nearby, so we can often see each other.”

”Sure! Once I have a child, I’ll bring her to stay in the compound.” Lin Qiushu said with a smile.

”What? From what you’re saying, are you...?” An Hao asked, delighted.

”Not yet. But soon! You know my mother-in-law, she keeps urging us to have children every day! My family keeps nagging too, how can we not want to?” Lin Qiushu said, a bit embarrassed.

”That’s great! The compound will be lively again! With another addition to your family, won’t your mother-in-law be thrilled? Keep up the good work!” An Hao said with a smile.

”Got it!” Lin Qiushu blushed.

Qin Jian is being investigated.

At the same time, the National Security Bureau has investigated everyone around him connected to this matter.

No clues have been found!

”I say, comrade! I’ve been here a week already, have you found any results from the investigation?”

Qin Jian was growing impatient from being questioned.

Throughout the entire investigation process, he was very cooperative.

However, this kind of investigation is utterly exhausting.

Repeated questioning, repeated inquiry, repeated investigation.

After so many repetitions, Qin Jian felt he was going to vomit at the sound of their voices.

”Think carefully! Captain Qin, we are investigating you not because we suspect you but because you are the key person in charge of this matter! If anyone has leaked information, you cannot escape responsibility!”

”I can’t think anymore. During the car accident, I suffered a concussion and was unconscious! I’ve told you everything I remember after waking up! You’ve checked and confirmed everything with everyone! What else can I say?” A person who was unconscious, how could he know what happened at the time.
