Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1775: Chapter 1774: The Wedding is Scheduled

”Mr. Yan, let’s talk about these things later. For now, focus on recovering your hand first.” If possible, An Hao still hoped Yan Ye could return to the operating table.

Yan Ye looked at his wrist and let out a heavy sigh. He was about to say something, but when he saw the tears glistening in An Hao’s eyes, he held back in the end.

Finally, he only nodded and agreed, ”If my hand recovers, I’ll definitely return to the operating table and stay there until the day I die!”

”Alright.” An Hao wiped away the tears that were about to fall. ”Mr. Yan, I’m waiting for you! Waiting to see you back at the operating table!”

”Don’t be sad anymore.” Qin Jian, seeing how upset An Hao was, felt troubled inside as well. ”Yan Ye, you have to get better! You promised that if one day my father needed surgery, you’d perform it yourself.”

”Alright. I’ll do my best!” Warmth filled Yan Ye’s heart.

This relatively heavy topic made the atmosphere in the ward grow significantly heavier.

Lin Qiushu didn’t want to see everyone in the room immersed in sadness, so she smiled and changed the subject to something much lighter than before.

”By the way. Yan Ye and I have scheduled our wedding! The date has been decided! We’re getting married on the ninth of next month!”

”Really?” Hearing this, An Hao quickly offered her blessings to the couple. ”I wish you both eternal happiness! If there’s anything you need help with during this time, just let me know, and I’ll definitely lend a hand!”

”Of course, An Hao! There’s no way I wouldn’t trouble you; you just better not find me annoying, okay?” Lin Qiushu said with a laugh.

”Of course not. I’d be happy to help!”

”That’s the best!”

The lively conversation made time fly by. Qin Jian glanced at his watch, and before they knew it, it was almost noon.

”We should get going. Yan Ye, take good care of yourself! When there’s a chance, we’ll come visit you again.”

Yan Ye struggled to sit up from the bed. ”No need, I’m feeling much better. I’ll probably be discharged in a few days! This little injury isn’t a big deal.”

”Alright then. I’ll take my leave first. Take good care of yourself!” Qin Jian said, taking An Hao’s hand, ready to leave.

”It’s already this time; why don’t you stay? I happen to be heading down for lunch; let’s all go together,” Lin Qiushu suggested.

”No need. You should take good care of Mr. Yan instead. Qin Jian and I need to visit someone else! There’s still a troublesome issue we haven’t resolved!” Mentioning this matter, An Hao sighed heavily.

Neither ignoring it nor addressing it feels right.

In any case, she was caught in a dilemma.

”In that case, you both should head out. But thank you for coming to visit Yan Ye today.” Lin Qiushu spoke as she escorted An Hao and the others to the door of the ward.

”Do we really need to thank each other?” An Hao smiled and said, ”Don’t forget, we’re family!”

.....................

When she passed by the flower shop again, An Hao finally decided to buy that bouquet of fiery red roses.

A total of eleven stems, symbolizing ”a lifetime together.”

”That guy sure is lucky. I’ve been married all these years, and I’ve never received fresh flowers even once! And now Tian Niu gets such a sweet deal!” Qin Jian couldn’t help but comment as he looked at the roses in An Hao’s arms.

”What nonsense are you talking about!” An Hao shot him a glare. ”I’m just doing this as a favor for your buddy! Besides, these flowers aren’t for him! I’m just buying them on his behalf!”
