Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 1765: Chapter 1764: Definitely a Talent

”Thank you for taking care of the two little ones these past few days. Thank you!” An Hao walked over with a bright smile and poured two cups of tea for the little warriors, placing them in front of them.

The two guards were flattered and quickly stood up to express their gratitude: ”Sister-in-law, no need to thank us! This is what we should do! If you have anything to ask, please go ahead now!”

”Have you two been taking care of the children these days? I heard my mother-in-law was hospitalized. Is her condition serious?” When she saw Qin Jian earlier, An Hao hadn’t asked much.

Now that the children were asleep and she had some free time, she wanted to understand the situation better.

”High blood pressure. But there’s nothing serious, though the doctor advises hospital observation and rest. We’ve been taking care of the two little ones the whole time.” Speaking of these two children, the guards were truly full of complaints, ”Maybe it’s because we lack experience in taking care of kids, but these two surely are something else.”

First of all, the issue of sleeping is hard to solve.

Despite being less than a year old, the guards felt these kids weren’t lacking in thoughts.

Every time it was bedtime at night, these two little ones just wouldn’t sleep.

They’d start crying endlessly.

Ning Chenyang would sleep first, then Ning Chenguang would cry. After Ning Chenguang cried to their fill and got tired, they’d sleep, and then Ning Chenyang would start crying.

The two seemed like they were having a relay race.

Crying continuously until it got bright outside, the two little ones finally got exhausted and went to sleep.

During the day, the guards had to clean and visit the chief’s wife in the hospital, so they couldn’t rest.

Once they finally finished their chores, the children would wake up, and then it would be time to feed them.

Feeding them was no easy task either; they had to sing and dance to exhaustion before these little ancestors would finally eat something.

This wasn’t the worst part.

The worst was that, every time the kids cried, they would pee, and the pee got all over them.

Their uniforms had been changed and washed several times, having to be changed as soon as they got dirty, and no sooner were the old ones washed when the new ones were soiled again.

Being soldiers for so many years, they’ve never encountered hardship they couldn’t handle, nor have they ever feared anyone, yet these two little ones were driving them to despair.

After hearing the two little warriors complain about their sons’ ’crimes,’ An Hao felt very apologetic: ”I’m really sorry! I didn’t expect things to be this way. Thank you for your hard work these past few days. You should head back early today and get some good rest!”

”Yes!” The two soldiers stood up, saluted, and left.

An Hao went upstairs to check on the children who were sleeping soundly. She then went downstairs, tied on an apron, and started cooking.

Not long after, the door sounded, and when An Hao came out of the kitchen carrying the dishes, Qin Jian and Zhang Yun had just entered the house.

The moment she saw An Hao, Zhang Yun, with red-rimmed eyes, rushed forward and hugged An Hao tightly: ”My child, you’re finally back! You nearly worried your mother to death!”

An Hao felt a warmth in her heart, and two lines of tears fell: ”Mom, I’m sorry... I made you worry, I wasn’t honest with you all...”

”It’s good you’re back! It’s good you’re back!” Zhang Yun held An Hao tightly, gently stroking her back. In fact, she understood what had happened from the moment Ji Chuan lied to her.

When she learned her son was in danger, she was on edge for a whole day. Just as the son’s crisis was averted, the daughter-in-law was kidnapped, and at that moment, she couldn’t hold on anymore; her high blood pressure acted up, and she fainted.
