Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 808: Chapter 808 It’s Just a Coincidence

It was a summer day, and she wore a light blue long dress, her long hair was tied high and coiled at the back of her head, fastened with a sparkling hair clip, with two strands of hair naturally falling beside her ears, her poised demeanor revealing a hint of playfulness.

”Miss Cheng is so beautiful!”

”If Miss Cheng were in ancient times, she would definitely be more beautiful than Zhao Feiyan.”

”Miss Cheng is the idol in our hearts! She’s the goddess of all our male classmates!”

As soon as Cheng Yu appeared, there was a chorus of such admiring exclamations!

She had already grown accustomed to people’s praises. Upon hearing them, she simply smiled slightly, appearing calm and composed, ”Thank you!”

Seeing An Hao standing next to Yan Ye, Cheng Yu’s eyes didn’t show the slightest surprise, ”You’ve joined the medical team too! I’m glad we can spend this vacation together.”

”Yes, I was quite surprised,” An Hao thought about it and felt a bit excited. ”Mr. Yan, I didn’t expect you to choose Yuchuan this time. It’s such a coincidence. If not for this, I definitely wouldn’t have had the chance to join the medical team.”

”This wasn’t my choice. The destination for this trip was suggested by Miss Cheng.” He originally hadn’t planned to go so far, but since Miss Cheng suggested it, he gave it some thought and agreed.

The more remote and poor an area is, the more backward the medical level tends to be, and that was indeed the purpose of their visit.

”Miss Cheng suggested it?” An Hao turned her gaze to Cheng Yu and casually said, ”This place seems to have been chosen especially for me!”

Cheng Yu’s face turned slightly unnatural, ”It’s just a coincidence!”

”It’s a pretty good coincidence, allowing me the opportunity to join the medical team. It lets me learn more from both teachers and my senior peers and gain more practical experience and exposure,” An Hao said with a smile.

”Actually, you’re already great! An Hao, I have high hopes for you!” Yan Ye’s words were filled with trust and admiration for An Hao.

”You’re quite remarkable for receiving Mr. Yan’s praise,” Cheng Yu added with a smile.

”You’re both too kind. I hope I can do even better and become an outstanding surgeon.” As soon as An Hao finished speaking, she heard the sound of ticket checking resounding in the waiting hall, ”Teachers, senior bros, and sis! Let’s queue up and get on the train!”

An Hao and the others got on the train and headed towards the Northwest.

After sitting on the train for an entire day, as the train was about to reach its destination, accompanied by the long whistle of the locomotive, it slowly started to pull into the station.

As soon as they got off the train, a blast of hot air hit them face-on, and the setting sun hung far on the horizon, dyeing half the sky red.

Looking at the familiar yet strange scenery, An Hao silently laughed, she was back again!

Members of the medical team got off the train one after another, forming a neat line, led by Yan Ye to first arrange for everyone to settle in town, and to deal with the town hospital the next day.

After leaving the train station, Cheng Yu asked An Hao with concern, ”How come I haven’t seen Commander Qin come to pick you up? Are you going to stay with me today?”

”He went on a training exercise with his team, he won’t be back at this time! I came here last year, so I’m not unfamiliar with the place. I can just take a taxi there by myself,” An Hao said.

”You have so much luggage.” Cheng Yu looked at her heap of belongings with concern, ”How about this? Come with us first. After we’ve settled in, I’ll accompany you to the military base. That way, you’ll also have an extra pair of hands to help carry your things!”
