Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 659: Chapter 659: Each Has Their Own Purpose

”Why are you crying? It’s just a minor injury; it’s not serious. Which soldier doesn’t get injured?” Qin Jian pulled An Hao up into his arms and held her close, ”If I told you about it, wouldn’t you worry all day?”

”But if you don’t tell me, I’ll still worry when I find out!”

”No need to worry. We are in a time of peace; there will be no wars, no bloody sacrifices. It’s just a minor injury; it’ll heal with some rest.” He had experienced bloody sacrifices on the battlefield, and this injury was nothing more than a bit of pain to him.

”How did you get hurt?” An Hao asked with concern.

”I was hit by a falling rock from the mountain. It doesn’t hurt anymore; it’s fine now. It’s just that the wound looks a bit ferocious. Won’t it scare you?” Qin Jian spoke quietly.

”How could it scare me? Have you forgotten that I am studying medicine?” An Hao pushed him away, squatted down, and gently touched his scar, ”This isn’t ferocious at all. It’s the pride of a soldier! A badge of honor!”

Qin Jian laughed, ”Thank you, An Hao! No woman understands my heart better than you.”

”That’s because you only have me as a woman!” An Hao also couldn’t help laughing.

”Alright, enough with the sentimentality. Let’s wash up and rest early. Mom was so anxious to drag Dad away, she didn’t leave us this time to waste...” As Qin Jian caressed the back of An Hao’s hand, he spoke softly.

”I don’t understand what you’re saying!” An Hao’s face turned red, How did the topic suddenly change?

”It’s okay if you don’t understand! I can demonstrate for you in person!” With that, Qin Jian stood up and casually took off his shirt.

”Your knee...” An Hao was worried that his injury hadn’t fully healed. With such a severe injury, the bones couldn’t possibly be completely fine.

”It’s fine; we already tried a new position last time, didn’t we?”

An Hao: ”...”

That night, the bed shook for quite some time before it stopped.

The next morning, An Hao, who was usually punctual, was late for class.

Fortunately, it wasn’t an especially important specialized course; otherwise, An Hao would have been utterly embarrassed.

For a student to be late for an important lesson because of a night of conjugal bliss, that was just too...

An Hao sneaked to her seat quietly, and as she sat down, Gu Shuangshuang leaned over and said, ”Tsk tsk tsk, beauty leads astray! It couldn’t be truer! Confess, did you spend a wonderful night with Staff Officer Qin yesterday?”

”Stop it, stop it. Let’s focus on the lecture!” An Hao quickly changed the subject.

”Acting! Your eyes have already betrayed your deepest secrets.”

”You’re really something! Miss Gu, can we focus on the lecture now? If the teacher calls on you again, I won’t be able to save you. I wasn’t listening just now.”

No sooner had An Hao finished speaking than the teacher called on Gu Shuangshuang.

Gu Shuangshuang looked aggrieved: An Hao, you jinx!

At the back of the classroom, Cheng Yue and Li Zhi sneaked in to attend the lecture.

Allegedly to listen to the lecture, but in reality, these two scoundrels came to bet on An Hao and Gu Shuangshuang.

Each harbored their own motives.

Normally, it was hard to encounter these two in school, and both girls purposely avoided them.

Thinking about how exams were approaching and then there would be a long holiday without seeing An Hao made Cheng Yue feel uncomfortable.

He had obtained a second-year course schedule and took the opportunity to slip in during this large lecture.

The two of them endured until the class was over. Once they saw An Hao and Gu Shuangshuang leave their seats, Cheng Yue was the first to block An Hao at the doorway.
