Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 645: Chapter 645: The Defeated Rooster

Xu Yinuo fled in a panic under everyone’s gaze, publicly humiliated by An Hao, she felt like she couldn’t lift her head.

”Wait! Xu Yinuo! Stop!” Gu Shuangshuang followed through the crowd and quickly caught up to Xu Yinuo’s wrist. ”There are some things I must say to you.”

”No need. We no longer have anything to do with each other.” Xu Yinuo said tearfully, looking at Gu Shuangshuang. ”One should be responsible for their own actions! No matter the consequences of this matter in the future, I will bear it alone!”

The words Gu Shuangshuang intended to say got stuck in her throat, leaving her speechless.

She slowly let go of her hand, watching as Xu Yinuo’s figure grew more distant.

Three days after the dissection building incident, Cheng Yue only became aware of it after hearing others speak about it.

Thinking about An Hao being locked in the dissection building all night, he felt his heart was breaking.

Outside the window, the rain was pouring down heavily.

Cheng Yue lay on his bed, his hands holding a book, but didn’t read a single word for ages.

”Cheng Yue, what are we eating for lunch today? How about going to a restaurant?” Li Zhi, having laid in bed enough, flipped over and poked his head out from the top bunk.

”Yeah, yeah! I’m in!” Zhang Chaoqian clapped his hands excitedly in agreement. ”This month I’ve been so damn hungry I could turn into a dried corpse! I want braised pork! I want soy-sauce beef!”

Cheng Yue turned over: ”Eat whatever you want to eat! What’s it to me!”

”Your mood’s off today! When has our Young Master Cheng ever been this listless? Tell me, is it that little chili pepper giving you trouble again?” Li Zhi said with a snicker.

Cheng Yue was already in a foul mood, and upon hearing Li Zhi say this, he threw the book in his hands hard at Li Zhi’s face: ”What’s with all the crap you talk? If you want meat, go eat! Stop bothering me!”

Li Zhi, who got hit in the face, was completely baffled. He snuck a question to Zhang Chaoqian, ”What’s gotten into him? Did I say something wrong?”

”He told his sister about his plan to pursue a girl, and she told him to keep away from her, stop clinging to An Hao like a little hoodlum all day. He’s brooding now, wanting to get close to An Hao but afraid she’ll find him annoying!” Zhang Chaoqian whispered into Li Zhi’s ear, ”Did you know? A few days ago he tried to intercept An Hao on his bicycle, and she kicked him into a puddle!”

”Ah hahaha!” Li Zhi laughed indiscreetly, ”I love girls like that, so spicy!!”

”Spicy indeed! If you really ran into one, you’d probably be too busy nursing a headache to enjoy it! Just look at our Cheng Yue, defeated like a run-down rooster.” Zhang Chaoqian couldn’t help but click his tongue.

”Who says I haven’t met one?” Li Zhi chuckled and lay back on the bed, gazing at the ceiling, his face filled with dreamy delight. ”On my trip home for a blind date, I also met a little chili pepper! Oh man, she had a sharp tongue! Ahaha!”

”Oh! Your dad’s managing this for you now?” Zhang Chaoqian asked.

”No! it was my new stepmom! She’s pretty straightforward. I like her quite a bit...”

While Cheng Yue was fretting endlessly, there were two ’flies’ buzzing around in the room; he just couldn’t stand it anymore and sat up abruptly: ”I’ve got a question for you two.”

”What is it, Young Master Cheng?” Zhang Chaoqian’s face was all smiles, obsequiously.

”How did the school deal with the girl who locked An Hao in the dissection building?” Cheng Yue asked.
