Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 642: Chapter 642: A Whole Night of Agony

The rest of the people in the dormitory had even breathing, but Xu Yinuo was the only one who couldn’t sleep.

She must not know it was her who did it tonight, right?

In the darkness, she couldn’t see clearly, and although she screamed, the sound was distorted by fear, and not even she could recognize it.

Even if she had left two pencils on the door, doesn’t everyone use pencils?

She shouldn’t know it was her! She shouldn’t know it was her!

Xu Yinuo reassured herself over and over in her mind, comforting herself until she finally drifted into a troubled sleep.

After using the bathroom, An Hao found the door wouldn’t open. She pulled hard to open it, but to no avail.

Having no other choice, she had to call for help.

It was pitch-black in the toilet, the hallway so quiet you could hear a breath, and she called out several times, ”Is anyone there? Come over and help!”

Besides her own echo, no other sound responded.

Could everyone have left?

An Hao’s heart thumped violently—stuck in an anatomy building in the dead of night was a terrifying thought!

To say she wasn’t scared would be a lie!

It’s different attending an anatomy class with many people and being locked in an anatomy building alone late at night.

Besides, even if one were locked in the anatomy building, one certainly couldn’t stay in the stinky bathroom all night, right?

An Hao decided, no matter what, she had to get the door open first.

She pulled back and couldn’t open it, then tried pushing forward, but still nothing worked.

In a panic, she lifted her leg and kicked the bathroom door with all her might.

Bang! After a loud noise, the bathroom door was kicked in.

At the same time, with a clatter, it seemed as if something had fallen off the door.

When An Hao pulled on the door again, this time it opened easily.

The hallway was pitch-dark, you couldn’t see your own hand, and An Hao fumbled her way to the entrance, found the light switch, and turned on the lights with a ”click.”

The orange light, though still creepy, made An Hao feel much better.

She sat alone at the entrance of the hallway, waiting for dawn.

The long night finally passed, and the eastern sky began to lighten. Sunlight streamed through the windows into the hallway, and the sinister feeling was gone.

An Hao stood up, turned off the light, and then went back to the bathroom.

On the ground, there were pieces of the broken door and two snapped pencils. With just these two items, An Hao couldn’t determine who had locked her in the bathroom and maliciously trapped her there.

When she went to the bathroom last night, she had mistakenly scared someone.

She guessed that person must have been quite frightened, as she couldn’t identify anyone from that altered scream.

The entire night had been a considerable ordeal for her.

She had to find out who was trying to harm her from behind.

An Hao’s brain didn’t stop spinning for a moment. Her gaze swept the floor, and suddenly her eyes stopped on a spot. Seeing what was on the floor, she squatted down, picked it up, and a cold light surfaced in her eyes.

She thought she knew who it was!

Xu Yinuo had a very restless sleep that night, replaying the events of the previous evening in her dreams.

Finally, when daylight came and she went to have breakfast in the cafeteria, Xu Yinuo overheard whispers among the students that sent a cold sweat down her back.
