Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s

Chapter 636: Chapter 636: Unwilling to Accept!

”I know I’m still lacking in knowledge, but as long as you, Teacher Yan, are willing to guide me like you guide An Hao, I’m certain I can be just as diligent and serious.” Xu Yinuo meant that Yan Ye gave An Hao special care.

During this period, she had not neglected to observe An Hao, who had been working so hard and with such clear direction, and it turned out it was because of the special tutoring.

If everyone is a student of the teacher, why can An Hao get such good care compared to others?

”Exactly! Teacher Yan, your heart is too biased.” Guan Kexin seized the opportunity to chime in, ”You’re not still hung up on her, are you?”

He always tried to push her away, but it turned out An Hao was the one he kept in his heart all along.

”Guan Kexin, don’t make a scene!” Yan Ye frowned, a thin layer of anger shading his eyes, ”I hope you can focus all your attention on your studies instead of gossiping every day about all this nonsense.”

”Yan Ye! Can’t you pay more attention to me?” Guan Kexin said, angry yet aggrieved. She had liked him so much since she was a child, yet he had never taken her seriously.

Yan Ye narrowed his eyes: ”Remember, I am your teacher! If you don’t respect your teacher anymore, I won’t hesitate to write a letter to your grandfather and have him take you home directly!”

”You! You’re infuriating me!” Guan Kexin stamped her foot in anger.

Yan Ye always seemed able to see right through her thoughts.

How she wished Yan Ye would personally teach her a lesson, to educate her properly, but this guy wouldn’t even give her the chance, preferring to write to her grandfather instead!

He really didn’t want to give her a bit of his attention!

After Yan Ye left, Xu Yinuo felt stifled in her heart; she just wanted to ask for a chance for herself, and even that was so difficult.

Suddenly, she felt some hatred rising in her heart for An Hao and Yan Ye!

Her grades weren’t much worse than An Hao’s; she was just a bit less bold! Was she bound to lose out on a lot because of that?

Unwilling! Truly unwilling!

Xu Yinuo clenched her fists tightly, her whole heart twisted into a knot.

Guan Kexin gave her a cold look: ”With your meager abilities, you still want to join the research team? It’s not just that Yan Ye looks down on you, even I cannot think highly of you!”

She thought she would have one more ally, one more helping hand! But what happened? She turned out to be a scaredy egg, utterly unreliable.

If Gu Shuangshuang was her ally, she probably would have gotten An Hao sorted out by now.

....................................

The train arrived at the station, and Gu Shuangshuang got off, seeing that An Hao was already waiting for her on the platform. Excited, she threw herself at her.

”Dear, I’ve missed you so much these days!”

An Hao held Gu Shuangshuang tightly and said, ”I’ve missed you too! Without you, I’ve been going everywhere alone; it’s been very lonely indeed!”

”You, lonely? I doubt that,” Gu Shuangshuang was skeptical, ”I bet with one less person to annoy you, you’ve been having a pretty good time, haven’t you? Tell me, what’s new at the school lately?”

”I think you should start by telling me about your mother’s condition. Wasn’t it some emergency that made you rush back home?”

”Don’t get me started!” She was furious at the mention of it, ”My mom is such a liar! It was just a cold and cough, but she told me it was an emergency! Guess what her real purpose was for making me come back?”
