“How is SEE doing?” Changing the topic, Yu Zi Yu asked about the several forces she had established.

“SEE…” Smiling, Ling Er declared with a hint of pride, “The Earth Eye is responsible for gathering intelligence. Needless to say, the list of prodigies in Master’s hands is the testament of their abilities. Although it hasn’t reached the point of being omnipresent, we’ve infiltrated high-level officials of various countries on this continent. As for the Skynet, it’s in-charge of assassination. It’s now a well-known assassin organization in the dark side of the world. It’s even listed among the top three dark organizations in China, alongside the Dark Council and the Blood Web.”

Hearing this, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes couldn’t help but narrow slightly.

“Blood Web!?” The new term left Yu Zi Yu surprised and curious.

The Dark Council, needless to say, was also a force subtly cultivated by Ling Er, with four out of seven Kings being affiliated with Ling Er.

It could be said that the Dark Council was a sharp blade in Ling Er’s hands, but the Blood Web was something Yu Zi Yu had never heard of before.

“The Blood Web is an organization formed by the most heinous criminals of China…” Giving a brief explanation, Ling Er’s tone became indifferent as she added, “This organization is not that important, it’s just a group of people banding together for self-preservation. What’s really worth noting is the organization behind the Blood Web — the Crimson Web. That organization spans the entire continent and is somewhat troublesome. Of course, it’s only somewhat troublesome.”

“Alright then.” Nodding slightly, Yu Zi Yu didn’t pay much attention to it anymore.

These organizations were unimportant. Yu Zi Yu had only asked casually. As long as they ensured regular contributions of resources, Yu Zi Yu, or more accurately, Misty Mountains, would not interfere with these affiliated forces.

Just like the organizations that signed contracts with Misty Mountains — the Root.

Once the resources were provided, Misty Mountains wouldn’t even mind dispatching people to protect them.

Currently, the members of Root had been taken in by White Tiger to be looked after in White Emperor City, and to some extent, even allowed these members of Root to hold power and manage the city.

For them, this was a very good affiliation.

After all, peaceful cities like Smoghaven, Crescent Moon City, and White Emperor City under Misty Mountains were really rare in the current world, which was fraught with wars.

At least, members of Root didn’t have to worry about the safety of their families.

As for themselves, they were all sharpening their knives and organizing manpower, preparing to make a big impact on the continent.

…

All of these, Yu Zi Yu chose to silently observe. For him now, observation had become the norm.

Except for major events like declaring war on the Sea Clan, where he would make some moves behind the scenes, he did not have the leisure to pay attention.

Currently, the most important thing was to wait, wait and prepare for the advent of the Third Spiritual Energy Tide.

[But before that, that Dark Willow Tree in the deep sea also requires a little attention.] With that in mind, after exchanging a greeting with Ling Er, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness shifted again, sinking into the distant Cosmic Root.

The Cosmic Root was different from Yu Zi Yu’s other roots. They were more like extensions of Yu Zi Yu’s tentacles, ignoring distance and even space, truly emerging from void.

While they might be lacking in terms of lethality, but in terms of strangeness, it was hard for any of Yu Zi Yu’s other roots to match it.

This was also the most important reason why Yu Zi Yu, while in Misty Mountains, could extend his tentacles to the entire world.

Of course, although Yu Zi Yu’s psychic power was powerful, it hadn’t reached the level of enveloping the world. It could even be said that covering half of a continent was the limit. As such, Yu Zi Yu could not accurately determine the precise location where the Cosmic Root would emerge from the void. He could only rely on his senses to lock onto a continent and its surrounding sea areas.

In other words, it was not difficult for Yu Zi Yu to have the Cosmic Root appear on the American Continent. However, it would not be very realistic to hope for the Cosmic Root to appear in a specific city in America.

It was all a matter of luck; Yu Zi Yu could not say with absolute certainty where they would appear.

…

At this moment, as his consciousness shifted, his consciousness once again descended into the unfathomable depths of the sea.

However, before he could switch to the perspective of the Cosmic Root, a strong smell of blood assailed his senses. When he finally looked through the perspective, he saw the sea around him completely dyed red with blood, and grotesque and spiky monsters roaring and fighting with each other.

Suddenly, a thunderous roar shook the deep sea before Yu Zi Yu witnessed a monstrous creature, resembling an Octopus but covered in spikes, tear an enormous turtle half its size in an instant not far away.

“That’s some ridiculous strength!” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but heave a long, deep sigh, looking at this sea creature, resembling an Octopus, with narrowed eyes.

It was huge, really huge.

Just its tentacles were hundreds of meters long, each covered in menacing spikes.

Every time it whipped its tentacles, it would leave other grotesque Sea Beasts mangled and mutilated, if not instantly split in half.

And there happened to be 7-8 Sea Beasts that were this strong.

“Hmmm…” Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but hum in admiration, looking at these Sea Beasts, whose combat power was comparable to that of Tier-3 Kings, with some even not inferior to Tier-3 Sovereigns.

This was the Sea Beast Clan, the most ferocious and terrifying race in the sea. If it weren’t for their low intelligence, other Sea Clans, and even other Mutant Sea Creatures would find it difficult to compete with them.

Now, these humongous Sea Beasts were engaged in bloody slaughter because of a giant Tree rooted in the reefs.

The carcasses had piled up like mountains.

Yu Zi Yu even witnessed many severely injured Sea Beasts dragging their mangled bodies towards the Dark Willow Tree.

But, unfortunately, before they could even arrive in the vicinity of the Dark Willow Tree, each of the red-eyed gigantic Sea Beasts would tear them to shreds in an instant.

“What kind of magic does the Dark Willow Tree, or rather, the Sea Beast King, possess to drive them so crazy?” Staring blankly, Yu Zi Yu fell into contemplation.

Before, it was just speculation, but now, after witnessing this horrific sight, Yu Zi Yu found it inexplicably strange.

[Could it be that these Sea Beasts, without even intelligence, still know how to protect the Sea Beast King?]

However, looking at the faces of these Sea Beasts, full of madness and greed, Yu Zi Yu dismissed this speculation.

[This is definitely not protection. It seems more like… a struggle.  A struggle that is a hundred times more insane than fighting for food.]
