“Master…” a sudden call interrupted Yu Zi Yu’s contemplation.

Looking towards the source, an excited White Tiger pouncing from the depths of the sky entered his sight, shouting in excitement, “Master, have you made a breakthrough? By the way, did you just devour the thundercloud?”

“Uh…” Yu Zi Yu fell momentarily silent, feeling a bit astonished.

[Is it my breakthrough, or his? Why is he even more excited than me?] After pondering for a moment, Yu Zi Yu shook his head helplessly and replied, “Yeah. I had a small breakthrough.”

As he spoke, a branch of Yu Zi Yu’s shot towards White Tiger like a Python.

However, just after reaching White Tiger, before White Tiger could react, a fearsome pressure erupted as an aura that made even ones’ Soul tremble filled the surroundings.

In a moment, to the shocked gaze of White Tiger, an eye slowly opened on the tip of this Python-like branch, with blood-red ripples resembling those on the surface of a lake undulating inside, and seven different-coloured tomoe circulating.

Under the gaze of this eye, White Tiger felt as if he was naked. He felt as if all his secrets were laid bare.

What left him even more shocked was that every time the eye flickered, White Tiger felt inexplicable strangeness, as if it had consciousness.

“Uh…” In the brief moment of stupefaction, White Tiger suddenly felt a tightness in his forehead.

Immediately after, what left him even more confused, the golden Heavenly Eye at the centre of his forehead slowly opened.

However, just as it opened, a sense of fear and panic suddenly washed over him. The fear and panic did not originate from his own. It was the emotion transmitted by his golden Heavenly Eye.

“As expected!” Chuckling lightly, Yu Zi Yu finally confirmed that the eye he had opened was the Heavenly Eye, noticing White Tiger’s expression.

Furthermore, it appeared to be of higher rank, otherwise White Tiger’s golden Heavenly Eye would not have been so fearful.

All Heavenly Eyes had their own consciousness. And by the looks of it, White Tiger’s Heavenly Eye had sensed dread from Yu Zi Yu’s Heavenly Eye.

However, there was no denying that there was something unusual about Yu Zi Yu’s Heavenly Eye, because, just as he saw White Tiger’s Heavenly Eye, Yu Zi Yu unexpectedly felt a hint of desire from his blood-red Heavenly Eye.

It was an inexplicable sense of greed, as if it wanted to devour the golden Heavenly Eye.

“Does it want to absorb the Ocular Force?” Muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu appeared perplexed.

Ocular Force was a term for the basic power of Heavenly Eyes. The greater the Ocular Force was, the more powerful the Heavenly Eye’s abilities were.

Yu Zi Yu’s blood-red Heavenly Eye was craving to devour the Ocular Force of the golden Heavenly Eye, thus completing its own accumulation and advancement.

Regarding this, Yu Zi Yu just smiled and suppressed this impulse.

He had no problem with the act of devouring Ocular Force to advance, rather he welcomed it. However, the problem was that he had not completely figured out this eye yet, so how could he easily let it get out of control?

After all, Heavenly Eyes have their own consciousness.

If the host’s strength of extremely powerful Heavenly Eyes was lacking, the Heavenly Eye may even detach itself from the host and cultivate on their own.

This was what was called backlash.

Although Yu Zi Yu considered his strength decent, he was not arrogant enough to believe that he could subdue such a strange eye that easily. After all, to a certain extent, there were some differences between Yu Zi Yu’s Heavenly Eye and the one mentioned by Golden Monkey.

At least, Yu Zi Yu had never heard of other Heavenly Eyes wanting to devour Ocular Force.

“Perhaps, the Divine Tree I envisioned is too evil.” Smiling, Yu Zi Yu gave himself a reasonable explanation for his blood-red Heavenly Eye.

[If I remember it correctly, that Divine Tree’s Heavenly Eye had another name — The Mirror of Soul. And the Soul… tsk tsk…]

In Yu Zi Yu’s memory, there were few descendants of that Divine Tree who could awaken similar eyes, and none of them were benevolent.

Either they wanted to tear apart the world or destroy it.

All of them were extremists.

…

After joking briefly with White Tiger, Yu Zi Yu no longer paid attention to him. Instead, twisting his branch, he once again brought the blood-red Heavenly Eye into his sight.

Staring blankly, Yu Zi Yu unexpectedly felt a strange sensation of confrontation with himself.

After a moment, his consciousness shifted, and Yu Zi Yu once again sank his consciousness into the blood-red Heavenly Eye.

Before long, a perspective unique to the Heavenly Eye had once again come into view. This time, Yu Zi Yu also sensed an invisible power slowly dissipating.

“So this is the Ocular Force…” Yu Zi Yu muttered to himself as he became a bit certain.

Ocular Force, the fundamental power of the Heavenly Eye, was also the only source that could fuel the Heavenly Eye.

And this was also the strongest aspect of the Heavenly Eye, because it possessed a unique power system.

Although Ocular Force was closely related to the host’s strength, even if Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Energy was depleted, he could still unleash astonishing strength through Ocular Force.

If used properly, it could be a good trump card.

Of course, Yu Zi Yu had just cultivated the Heavenly Eye, so his Ocular Force was limited.

According to his estimation, he could keep the Heavenly Eye open for about three hours, and activate his Divine Ability — the Nine Realms of Heaven once.

His Divine Ability, apart from having a personal space and purifying Spiritual Energy, also had unique aspects in terms of offence.

The most terrifying aspect was that it could easily capture entities within a hundred metres into its pocket.

Once those entities entered Yu Zi Yu’s pockets, with his control over the pockets, he could easily suppress them.

Furthermore, the capture range would also increase with the increment in Yu Zi Yu’s Ocular Force.

[And not only that…]

As if realising something, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes narrowed slightly, looking towards the Giant Lightning Bear not too far away.

The Giant Lightning Bear was the King of the Polar Bear Clan in Misty Mountains, and a Tier-3 Transcendent who could control lightning. Even in Misty Mountains, his strength was notable.

However, he usually kept a low profile and was rarely known to the outside world.

“Try using lightning to attack me.”

“Um…” The Giant Lightning Bear momentarily hesitated after hearing Yu Zi Yu’s command, before accepting the command with a nod.

[Since it’s the Divine Tree’s order, I’ve to follow. As for anything else, it’s useless to think about it. With my current strength, it’s quite unlikely that I would be able to harm the Divine Tree.] With these thoughts in mind, the Giant Lightning Bear took a deep breath, and raised his right hand, as the lightning patterns covering his right arm suddenly lit up.

“Lightning Pillar!” As he shouted, a column of lightning as thick as a water bucket suddenly tore through the air with a thunderous boom, shooting towards Yu Zi Yu.

However, just as it approached Yu Zi Yu, space suddenly rippled before a vortex surrounded by electric arcs suddenly manifested in the air, swallowing the water bucket-thick lightning column in the blink of an eye, much to the astonishment of the onlooking Mutant Beasts.
