*Click-click…* Suddenly, a sharp click rang in the air.

For some reason, upon hearing this sound, both Whalefall and Slytherin shivered, feeling a chill rising from the depths of their bodies.

“Who’s there?” Subconsciously shouting, both Whalefall and Slytherin started looking around simultaneously.

However, what froze their expressions was that they found nothing.

[How is that possible!? That sound too real.]

In disbelief, both Whalefall and Slytherin couldn’t help but exchange glances.

However, after a moment, as if it had discovered something, one of the Slytherin’s heads suddenly hissed.

Whalefall, and all of Slytherin’s heads promptly looked turned to that head, and found it staring in a direction, where they saw a purple figure, seemingly manifested out of thin air, unnoticed.

It was a Purple Mantis, about the height of an average Human. Its arms were raised high like sickles, which glimmered with a sharp gleam in the dim light, so sharp that it made one squint their eyes.

However, that was not the frightening part. What was truly terrifying was that he had silently appeared beside Whalefall and Slytherin. If he hadn’t spoken, neither Whalefall nor Slytherin would have noticed him until now.

“You are…” Subconsciously muttering in a solemn and doubtful voice, Slytherin looked at this somewhat familiar figure, a bit shaken.

“Long time no see, Little Sly…” The voice was deep and hoarse, as if it hadn’t spoken in a long time.

However, looking at Slytherin, who had grown from 2-3 meters in length to hundreds, even thousands of meters, Zi Lian couldn’t help but softly sigh.

“Uh…” After a somewhat frozen expression, Slytherin eventually recalled the identity of the purple figure from a corner of his memory.

“Are you Brother Mantis?” Somewhat incredulous, Slytherin couldn’t help but size up the current figure.

Compared to before, Zi Lian had changed too much. Not only in appearance, but even his aura had become elusive. Slytherin could not recognize him at first glance.

However, this was not the time for nostalgia. Affirming his identity with a nod, Zi Lian spoke in a dark and gloomy voice, “Under the call of the Council of Kings, I will assist you in attacking the Seven Clans.”

Dropping this sentence, Zi Lian raised his foot, walking towards the sea. After a moment, as his feet touched the cold sea water, his entire body sank quietly.

If one were to pay attention at this moment, one would definitely notice that Zi Lian seemed as natural as a Fish returning to sea. He exuded an inexplicable sense of harmony with the water.

What was even more suffocating was that his figure gradually dimmed until he disappeared.

The Sea Breathing made Zi Lian more adaptable to the ocean than marine creatures, and Camoflauge allowed him to quietly eliminate his own existence.

In other words, right under the nose of Tier-3 Sovereigns, Zi Lian disappeared unnoticed, leaving behind the astonished Whalefall and Slytherin.

At this moment, as if noticing Whalefall and Slytherin’s astonishment, Brewmaster shook his head helplessly and added, “That’s just the way Zi Lian is. Unless summoned by the Divine Tree, it’s not easy to find him. This time, we’re only able to summon him to assist you using the authority of the Council of Kings. But you can rest assured. With Zi Lian’s current strength, ordinary Tier-3 Sovereigns won’t last more than three breaths. Even if the Kings of the Seven Clans, the Emperors of the World, found him because of some flaw, they’ll still be in big trouble.”

Hearing this, the astonishment in the eyes of Whalefall and Slytherin deepened.

However, these two were not ones to dwell on matters.

What was more important was that although Zi Lian had appeared briefly, his terrifying posture and cold aura were unforgettable.

Perhaps it was as the Ninth Great Beast said, ‘Zi Lian is extremely terrifying’.

Sighing inwardly, Whalefall affirmed once again, “Me and my Orca Clan will surely not disappoint the mandate of Misty Mountains.”

“En.” Nodding his acknowledgment, Brewmaster immediately left, without any delay.

He had notified them on what needed to be notified.

Next, he had more important matters to attend to.

…

At this moment, deep within Misty Mountains…

Yu Zi Yu was calmly observing a Black Willow Tree not far away, that resembled his Tree Form, but was pitch-black in color.

Each of its branches radiated a faint glow, visible even in the pitch-black night sky. As a matter of fact, the Sea Beast Clan was different from other Sea Clans. They leaned more towards retrogression, and lacked intelligence. Their decisions were ruled by their instincts, which were solely geared towards killing. As such, they were ruthless and brutal.

Such a race couldn’t even be called an intelligent species.

What was even more terrifying was that the Sea Beast Clan had completely split after losing the Sea Beast King and the WIse One.

Now, their shadows could be seen in every corner of the entire deep sea, each possessing unique and hideous appearances of massive sizes unlike typical sea creatures, with fierce and sharp spikes. Each of them looked cruel and made for war.

If it weren’t for their powerful individual combat strength, they would have been annihilated long ago.

Today, with their formidable individual combat strength and formidable reproductive abilities, this race was doing quite well in the deep sea.

Although they were divided, they were indeed a powerful race in the deep sea that could not be ignored.

Be that as it may, not only did some groups in the deep sea not recognize them, even the Sea Clans with heritage did not recognize them.

In other words, it meant that the so-called ‘Seven Clans of the Deep Sea’ was actually only six Clans. The seventh clan, the Sea Beast Clan, had long since separated from them and established itself as a separate group.

“If we could control the Sea Beast Clan and declare war on the Sea Clans, the declaration wouldn’t just be all talk,” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu’s eyes flickered incessantly. Faintly, there was a glint of a scheme.

In fact, declaring war on the Sea Clans was secondary, the primary goal was plundering of resources.

Currently, Yu Zi Yu thirsted for resources, and it wasn’t just an ordinary thirst.

The fastest way to obtain resources was naturally through war.

Openly, Misty Mountains and the entire continent were fighting back and forth, plundering a considerable amount of resources.

In secret, the Marine Forces led by Orca and Zi Lian were instigating deep-sea relations, inciting war as soon as possible, and if necessary, guiding the Sea Beast Clan to participate in the war.

This way, Misty Mountains would have many more opportunities to plunder resources.

This was exactly what Yu Zi Yu wanted to see most.

*Haaa…* Heaving a long, deep breath, Yu Zi Yu stared at the Dark Willow Tree not far away.

After a moment, a root swooshed and curled around the hundred-meter-tall Dark Willow Tree, dragging it deep into the earth.

…

Shortly thereafter, in a corner of the deep sea…

*Boom, boom, boom…* Amidst fearsome tremors, a segment of coiled purplish-black roots emerged, unfurling the next moment, revealing a hundred-meter-tall Dark Willow Tree.

Under Yu Zi Yu’s control, it slowly took root in the rocks of this deep-sea reef.

The Sea Beast King had long since died. However, his death was due to the obliteration of his Soul. As the Sea Beast Clan relied much on their extremely powerful body, the Sea Beast King’s terrifying aura still lingered even after his death.

Yu Zi Yu was planning on using the Sea Beast King’s carcass to attract the strong Transcendents of the Sea Beast Clan once again. If possible, he didn’t even mind selecting a True King to lead the Sea Beast Clan under him.
