Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1637: Fighting The Shadowy Creatures

The moment Feng Yao emerged from the void, all the shadowy creatures in the domain immediately turned their attention to her. They quickly darted toward her after smelling her beast scent, but she immediately used her phoenix flames and forced them away from her.

Feng Yao raised her eyebrows slightly and observed the behavior of those shadowy creatures, which seemed frightened by her phoenix flames. However, she could see that her phoenix flames couldn’t hurt them and only scared them.

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

Eleven different flames passed by Feng Yao and shot towards those shadowy creatures, causing them to run helter-skelter to avoid those flames.

*Boom... Boom...*

Several large explosions were heard throughout the domain after all those flames plunged into the ground, causing significant destruction in every area and a large earthquake throughout the domain.

Feng Yao looked at Zhang Fei, who was already in his lust demon form and activated his soul link to borrow the power of all the beasts in the beast space, including the Ancient Leiyu Tianlu. ”Why did you come out of the void?”

”I can’t possibly leave you alone like that jealous bitch, right?” Zhang Fei summoned the Demon Extermination Sword, and he also materialized the two female sword spirits.

Jian Guang’an released a light element, which was so bright that it illuminated their area for several miles around.

Those shadowy creatures hurriedly fled from the light and hid in dark areas.

Jian Hei’an didn’t do anything and floated behind Zhang Fei, as her darkness would disturb her sister’s light element.

Huo Ling immediately came out of Feng Yao’s body, fiercely glaring at Zhang Fei. ”You-”

”Shut up!” Zhang Fei snapped at her. ”I don’t care even if you are the eternal flame! You are just a fucking jealous old woman!”

Huo Ling’s face darkened until her muscles were bulging out. ”How dare you!”

”What?” Zhang Fei was not afraid to face her. ”You love Yao’er? You don’t deserve her! Your love is just bullshit! Your love is egoistic love!”

”You-”

”Enough!” Feng Yao snapped at them. ”Stop fighting and look at those creatures!”

Huo Ling and Zhang Fei looked at the creatures, who seemed to be acting strangely. ”What are they doing?”

”They’re summoning the other shadowy creatures in other domains because I can sense their movements.”

”Guang’an, spread your light element further.”

”Yes, Master.” Jian Guang’an nodded and carried out Zhang Fei’s orders directly, forcing those shadowy creatures to move farther and farther.

Zhang Fei also summoned the four elemental spirits: Huo Yan, Huo Diqiu, and Lei. He didn’t summon the darkness spirit because he believed those shadowy creatures were immune to the darkness.

”Are they those creatures, Master?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei pointed towards the west. ”The old fox’s greed soul is in that area, so we have to get rid of those shadowy creatures from that area.”

”I will attack them now!” Since he was the spirit of the Earth Flame, he could use the Earth Flame within Zhang Fei’s body to attack those creatures.

Huo Yan, the fire salamander that Zhang Fei obtained at the Star Tower, immediately followed Huo Diqiu to attack the shadowy creatures.

Lei, the lightning spirit, joined them and attacked the creatures with lightning, but his lightning had no significant effect on them.

Unlike Huo Diqiu’s attacks, Huo Yan’s attacks were also too weak, and they did not have much effect on those shadowy creatures.

Unfortunately, Zhang Fei didn’t obtain the complete Sky Flame; he only obtained its fragment because its spirit, Yan Huo, chose Yuan Tianling as his master in the past.

”Ling’er, please help them.” Huo Ling ignored Feng Yao and re-entered her body.

”You don’t need to ask that selfish bitch for help anymore.” Zhang Fei summoned all his elements and used his self-created techniques to materialize them.

A golden crow, a dark phoenix, a fire phoenix, an ice phoenix, a vermillion bird, a flame dragon, a mythical deer, an azure emperor roc, a rainbow-shelled tortoise, an azure dragon, a white tiger, and a light dragon appeared to fill the sky of the Cangxuan Domain.

Zhang Fei didn’t manifest the calamity demon dragon due to the presence of the avatars of the two primordial beasts. He didn’t want to encounter them while he was dealing with the shadowy creatures, as their appearance would only add to his troubles.

After that, Zhang Fei also used all the flames he had, such as the phoenix flame, the dragon flame, the soul flame, the sky flame, the earth flame, the blood flame, the moon flame, and the eternal flame. Their size was large enough to make the darkness covering the domain quickly dissipate.

Feng Yao smiled when she saw all that because Zhang Fei’s progress had come so far. In fact, he wouldn’t be able to use them all at once with his current cultivation, but he had already borrowed the power of all the beasts inside his beast space.

Long Xukong, who witnessed everything from within the void, was utterly shocked. He knew that Zhang Fei had always hidden his true strength and abilities, but his actions now were completely beyond his imagination.

As a mythical beast, Long Xukong knew that all the mythical beasts that Zhang Fei summoned were not real ones, and they were just manifestations of his elements. He also knew that using such a technique required high cultivation and an incredibly large amount of qi.

Zhang Fei didn’t stop there and opened a portal to the training space. Zhang Fei [4] and Zhang Fei [5] immediately walked out of it, and they used their heavenly fox abilities—the Exorcismus, which made the domain brighter and further eroded the darkness.

”I won’t believe that all these attacks won’t be able to destroy those shadow creatures,” Zhang Fei muttered to himself. ”Attack them!”

All the mythical beasts, all the heavenly flames, and the two halos in the sky immediately attacked the shadowy creatures, who continued to flee as the darkness in the domain continued to shrink.

*Swoosh... Swoosh...*

*Boom... Boom...*

Feng Yao didn’t stand idly by, and she used her phoenix flames to assist Zhang Fei, causing the entire domain to shake violently under their attacks.

Deep in the woods of the west, Hu Tianlang’s greedy soul stood atop the ten-tailed fox statue and watched as Zhang Fei’s attacks rained down on almost the entire domain, including the area outside the forest where he was located.

”Haha! That kid’s progress is truly astonishing! He can use all his high-level attacks at once with the help of his two clones! Besides, Shen Yuanzhi was also with him, and her attacks were beyond doubt. If his other three clones were here, this domain would probably be destroyed by their attacks.”

Hu Tianlang looked at those shadowy creatures who were trying hard to break through the universe’s barrier created to protect the forest.

”If it weren’t for this barrier, these creatures would have reached this place some time ago, and they would have devoured this soul. Unfortunately, they were too late because that kid had already arrived in this domain, and I will be merging with him soon.”

Hu Tianlang sighed. ”After I merge with him, he only needs to find my envy soul and merge with it. After that, he must find my wrath soul in the Illusion Spirit Fox Domain, and he also has to take the hearts of those two heavenly foxes.”

Zhang Fei and Feng Yao continued to attack those shadowy creatures, as did Huo Yan, Huo Diqiu, and Lei.

”We have to move into that forest now, and my two clones will attack those shadowy creatures.” Feng Yao agreed with Zhang Fei, and they flew quickly towards the forest while attacking the creatures in that area.

Feng Yao looked outside the domain. ”Those creatures from outside the domain are already moving here, and they’ll be here soon. Furthermore, they’ve already taken control of the bodies of the beasts and demons, so we won’t be able to deal with them that easily.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei frowned as he looked in that direction. He decided to bring his other two clones to assist them because the number of those shadowy creatures was too great. ”I think my four clones should be enough to fend them off, right?”

Feng Yao nodded. ”As long as you use the soul link, I think their numbers will be sufficient. I’ll also use the universe’s barrier to protect the forest, so they won’t be able to approach you while you fuse with Hu Tianlang’s greed soul. Once you’re done, we should leave this domain directly to go to the location of his envy soul.”

”How long does it take to travel to that domain? Is that domain far from this one?”

”Far enough! We need at least two weeks to get there.”

”We’ll think about that later, and we have to reach the forest soon.” Zhang Fei channeled his fire and light elements into the Demon Extermination Sword, swinging it towards the shadowy creatures blocking their path. ”These creatures are really tough! Such a powerful attack only scratches their bodies but doesn’t kill them.”

Feng Yao supported Zhang Fei and attacked them with her phoenix flames. ”Do you dare imagine if they invaded the Paradise Realm? Even a cultivator as powerful as Long Wuzhao wouldn’t be able to face them, let alone the others. If they succeed in invading the Paradise Realm, it will result in significant bloodshed across all domains, and the number of victims will increase dramatically.”

”We can only hope that they won’t be able to invade the Paradise Realm anytime soon.”

Soon, they arrived in front of the forest, and Feng Yao opened a gap in the barrier before leading Zhang Fei inside.

”Over there.”
