Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1618: Demon God Qian Yan

Zhang Fei fell into deep thought after the mysterious man disappeared, and his reappearance raised many questions in his heart. Now, he knew about the multiverse, and the young girl had come from another universe. However, the main question was the mysterious man’s identity, mainly because his real body was the creator of his universe and the others, even though he did so by accident.

Luo Yunxiao asked him directly. ”Are you thinking about the mysterious man’s identity, husband?”

”The mysterious man’s true identity and the existence of other universes disturb my mind, especially about how that young girl managed to cross into our universe. I want to meet her, but I don’t know where she is or how to contact her.” Zhang Fei sighed. ”Forget it; we should focus on the problem at hand for now, particularly the emergence of those shadowy creatures. Even if I manage to find the key to open this gate, I will have to think twice about going to the Ancient Realm. If I force myself to go there with my current strength, they will probably possess me and take over my body, like they take over the bodies of those beasts and demons.”

”What if we enter the Lotus Limbo World and meet that woman?”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei furrowed his brows.

Luo Yunxiao spoke to him again. ”As the mysterious man said, you need the help of one person from all races, and four are already by your side. We still don’t know the identity of the representative from the demihuman race, and you guessed that woman is a representative from the demon race, so I think we should meet her first.”

Zhang Fei wanted to go to the Lotus Limbo World, but he remembered the warnings from the two souls of the giant yin-yang lotus and Su Yuangu. After all, his cultivation had only reached the Celestial Emperor Realm, and he wasn’t sure he could face that woman even if Luo Yunxiao helped him with her Heaven-Earth Reversal Physique. If their abilities were not enough to defeat her, they would die there, and everyone close to them would also die because of that shadowy creature.

Luo Yunxiao hugged him and kissed him. ”I understand your considerations, Husband. However, you must realize that we cannot let this matter slide, and we must do something to deal with those shadowy creatures. The only solution to dealing with them is for you to go to the Ancient Realm to meet the old fox’s greed and envy souls, and you can meet his wrath soul after you obtain both souls. That way, you will evolve into the ten-tailed fox, and you will be unrivaled in this universe.”

”Let me think about it first, Yunxiao.”

”Alright.”

Zhang Fei wanted to awaken Dugu Yuanshen, Lu Wangyi, and Ju Jushen, but the first challenge suddenly appeared, sending him and Luo Yunxiao to another place.

Meanwhile, Qian Yu and Qian Qin had arrived at their domain, and both of them went straight to their father’s room.

Inside the room, Qian Yan was sleeping in her demon beast form. However, his form was not as big as the one faced by Zhang Fei in the second soul challenge, as he deliberately shrank his body to the size of a normal beast. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his two children, especially his daughter, Qian Qin.

Qian Qin trembled when Qian Yan’s middle eye opened and stared at her, but he closed it again not long after and returned to his human form.

Qian Yan’s human form was no different from an ordinary human, but his body was very tall—around two meters or more. His body was large and filled with muscles that protruded from beneath his skin. His face appeared furious as he questioned them. ”What happened in that tower? Why did you two come back so quickly?”

”There’s been a lot of trouble in the tower, Father.” Qian Yan frowned at his son. ”Empress Huo, Jian Kuang, Su Shentian, Zhuxian Sheng, Emperor Long, Tianshi Bailong, and Long Xukong were present at the tower to protect those humans.”

”Hmm?” Qian Yan was slightly surprised to hear that. ”How did they appear there?”

”Empress Huo, Jian Kuang, Su Shentian, and Zhuxian Sheng protected the group from the Twin Flames Domain, and the three dragons came after we entered the tower. Apart from them, Yue Ningxue, people from the Divine Samsara Sect, and people from the War God Pavilion were also there, so we were all forced to flee from there.” Qian Yu created several qi screens, allowing his father to observe the situation in the Tower of Eternity himself. ”Before we entered the tower, we captured many human cultivators, but I don’t know if there are enough of them to use as sacrifices.”

Qian Yan didn’t answer his son and watched all the images that appeared on those qi screens, but he trembled when he saw Feng Yao’s face, remembering their fight in the past, which ended with his crushing defeat. ”What about the people from those two demon races?”

”They also escaped from the tower, and they are on their way back to their respective domains.”

Qian Yan nodded slightly. ”Go back and rest, Qin’er.”

”Yes, Father.” Qian Qin hurriedly left the room.

Qian Yu remembered Zhang Fei and brought up his image on one of the qi screens. ”Father, I heard his name is Zhang Fei, and he has a close relationship with Empress Huo. Tianshi Bailong also seems to be close to him, especially since his daughter was with him at the tower.”

”Hmm?” Qian Yan looked at Zhang Fei’s image for some time before opening his middle eye to examine the tower, but he couldn’t find him anywhere. As he thought that, a powerful aura attacked him, forcing him to close his middle eye. ”Damn it! That woman is still as terrifying as ever! She even knew that I was checking the tower with my middle eye!”

Qian Yu was stunned for a moment, but he immediately realized the woman his father was referring to was Feng Yao. He was the only cultivator in the Paradise Realm who could still fear his father.

”That woman seems to have a close relationship with Zhang Fei; otherwise, she wouldn’t have protected him like that.” Qian Yu agreed with his father. ”Go back first! I will contact Sha Mo and Ku Shenzu.”

”Yes, Father.”

After his son left, Qian Yan contacted Sha Mo and Ku Shenzu, discussing the results of their children in the Glazed Heaven Domain as well as their next plans.

”Hmm? That Heavenly Fiend Demon God seems to have other plans, but he’s still hiding them from us.” Qian Yan returned to his beast form and continued his hibernation.

”Qin.” Qian Qin looked at her brother. ”Do you really not remember anything that happened to you back then?”

Qian Qin shook her head. ”I don’t remember anything, Brother. By the way, thank you for not telling our father about that matter; otherwise, he would have used every means to investigate, and I would have suffered just like our big sister.”

”Sigh.” Qian Yu sighed and hugged his sister from behind. ”I know you’re uncomfortable with your situation, but there’s nothing I can do to get you out of it.”

Qian Qin leaned back against his chest. ”Don’t worry, Brother. I’m not comfortable with my situation, but I will face everything steadfastly. You should go now and see my sister-in-law because we’ve been gone for a long time, and she must miss you.”

”Alright.”

After her brother left, Qian Qin clutched her chest and thought about something. Although Zhang Fei had altered her memories, her body remembered his touch and their intimate actions, which confused her. ”Did something happen when I disappeared that time?”

”What are you thinking about?”

Sha Mo looked at his wife, Sha Yuan, who had just arrived. ”Qian Yan just contacted me, and he told me about the chaos at the tower. Empress Huo and the others’ arrival there disrupted all our plans, and our men were unable to reach our target.”

”What about our two children? Have they made their way back to our domain?” Sha Yuan worriedly asked.

”They were on their way back two weeks ago, and they will arrive here in two to three weeks.” Sha Yuan was relieved to hear that. ”Qian Yan told me about a male human named Zhang Fei.”

”Hmm? What’s so special about him? Why does Qian Yan care about him?”

”Do you remember our son’s story about the mysterious person behind the changes in the Moonlit Passion Temple and the news about Empress Huo?” Sha Yuan nodded to Sha Mo. ”Judging from Zhang Fei’s closeness to Empress Huo and the three dragons, I think that he is the one behind the changes in the sect.”

”Oh? Are you sure about that?”

”That’s just my guess.”

Sha Yuan sat on his lap. ”Since our plans at the Tower of Eternity failed due to the appearance of Empress Huo and the three dragons, how about we start with your plans against the Asura Demon Race?”

”Hmm?” Sha Mo thought for a moment. ”Even if I use Shang Zhanluo now, we still haven’t found the location of the Slaughter Blood Domain, the Dragon-Soaring Divine Domain, and the Radiance Domain, so I think there’s no point in doing so. By the way, I’m going to the Torture Demon Domain to meet Ku Shenzu, so you have to protect our domain.”

”Leave everything to me.” After Sha Mo left, Sha Yuan contacted their two children to check on them. ”Sigh! Thank goodness my two children are fine.”
