Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1248: Wan Jiang/Jia Xianzu True Strength

”Old Wan, we—”

Wan Jiang waved his hand to stop Xing Haoran before returning to his true form, which shocked him, Linghu Minghua, and their subordinates.

”Long ago, I abandoned my true name, but the situation has changed. Starting today, I am no longer Wan Jiang, and I am Jia Xianzu.” Jia Xianzu then looked at Linghu Minghua and his subordinates before speaking to Xing Haoran. ”Old Xing, I always thought that you and your Xing Clan were righteous cultivators, but I didn’t expect that you would be in cahoots with these heretics from the Stygian Dusk Domain. Therefore, I will use my position as one of the punishing elders in our organization to impose punishment on you and your clan, declaring that from today onward, all of you are heretics.”

”Hahahaha!” Linghu Minghua laughed out loud upon hearing that. ”Do you think you can fight all of us together, old bastard? You may be strong, but we far outnumber you, and you will die by our hands.”

”Is that so?” The calmness in Jia Xianzu’s expression made Xing Haoran and Linghu Minghua tense up. ”I guess I’ve been isolating myself for too long, and people dare to look down on me now. Since you’re so confident in your numbers, I’ll show you the true power of numbers.”

*Fweeeet!*

As soon as Jia Xianzu whistled, the nature around them rumbled, causing all of them to panic.

Linghu Minghua turned to Xing Haoran, who nodded to him. They moved to attack Jia Xianzu, but two figures intercepted them and knocked them back, causing the two of them to stumble backwards.

Linghu Minghua and Xing Haoran looked at the two figures; one looked like a transparent figure with a body like air, and the other was a green figure with a body like a whirlwind.

*Zap... Zap... Zap...*

A purple lightning bolt suddenly struck from the sky and landed on Jia Xianzu’s right side, transforming into a figure with a body made of lightning.

*Rumble... Rumble...*

A lump of earth emerged from the ground on Jia Xianzu’s left side, transforming into an earth figure. Soon, a giant tree moved from one of their left sides, and it came out of the ground before walking towards them, but it stopped beside the old fairy.

Jia Xianzu’s actions didn’t stop there, as they saw a ball of lava shooting toward them at high speed, landing behind him before transforming into a lava figure.

*Drip... Drip... Drip...*

Not long after, rain poured down from the sky, and a transparent figure with a body of water descended and floated above Jia Xianzu.

*Swoosh... Swoosh... Swoosh...*

Thousands of figures of several colors quickly filled the sky above their area, which shocked Xing Haoran, Linghu Minghua, and their subordinates.

Xing Haoran, Linghu Minghua, and their subordinates took a deep breath after they saw those figures. ’Crap! I forgot that the Fairy Race can summon natural forces to help them!’

Jia Xianzu looked at them with a calm yet sharp gaze. ”Now, who’s outnumbering whom? Attack and kill them.”

All the figures followed Jia Xianzu’s orders and attacked those people, and attacks from several different elements rushed towards them.

’Shit!’ As he flew to avoid the attacks of those figures, Xing Haoran quickly sent a voice transmission to his clan members who were in their clan residence, ordering them to escape quickly.

”Attack them!” Linghu Minghua ordered his subordinates as he flew away from those attacks. However, none of them followed his orders, and they scattered in several directions to escape their attacks, irritating him. ”A bunch of cowards!”

Even though he said that, Linghu Minghua himself didn’t dare face those figures, and he decided to use his return jade to escape the domain, leaving his subordinates there.

Jia Xianzu didn’t bother stopping Linghu Minghua, as he was familiar with the situation in the Stygian Dusk Domain. He ordered those figures to chase his subordinates, and he flew after Xing Haoran.

Green qi enveloped Jia Xianzu’s legs, and six wings appeared behind his back, accelerating his speed.

Sensing that, Xing Haoran looked back, and his expression was shocked that the distance between him and Jia Xianzu had become so close.

’Damn it! I have to escape now!’ Just as Xing Haoran took out a device to escape, Jia Xianzu shot a green arrow toward him and destroyed his device instantly. ’Crap!’

”You can’t escape from me.” Xing Haoran shivered in fear, and numerous tree roots suddenly shot out from the ground, surrounding him like a wooden birdcage. The old man tried to destroy them, but Jia Xianzu swiftly enveloped them with his qi, and they absorbed his attacks.

Xing Haoran stopped flying and faced Jia Xianzu. ”Wait! Please wait, Old Wan.”

”There’s no need to beg me.” After Jia Xianzu said that, a void crack suddenly appeared in front of them, and two people walked out of it. One is a middle-aged man, and the other one is a middle-aged woman.

’Shit! This old bastard has contacted them!’ The appearance of the two people frightened Xing Haoran, and his face turned deathly pale as he realized his fate if he fell into their hands.

”Kong Bai and Nu Liexi, I leave him to you two.”

Both of them nodded to Jia Xianzu, and Kong Bai immediately locked Xing Haoran using a void prison, preventing him from listening to their conversation.

Nu Liexi then asked him. ”What made you change your mind about returning to your true form, Old Jia?”

”Did you discover something interesting, Old Jia?” Nu Liexi also asked him.

Jia Xianzu nodded at them, ”For tens of thousands of years, I’ve been waiting for this day, and I decided to return to my true form because I’ve discovered the truth of those rumors.”

”Oh?” Kong Bai and Nu Liexi exchanged surprised glances. ”Are those rumors true, Old Jia?”

”Yes.” Jia Xianzu replied with a nod. ”Previously, someone came to me and informed me of the truth. Jia Zizhen was not only in cahoots with the Jiu Demon Clan, but he was also in cahoots with Mo Shentian to assassinate our king in the past.”

Jia Xianzu’s revelation shocked Kong Bai and Nu Liexi. ”Do you have proof of Jia Zizhen’s involvement with the two demon gods, Old Jia?”

Jia Xianzu shook his head at Nu Liexi. ”Actually, that person got this information from Long Wuzhao, and the Dragon Emperor heard it from Jia Zizhen’s own mouth when he rescued Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun from him. Unfortunately, we still don’t have any solid evidence about his involvement with the two demon gods, so we can’t do anything about him yet.”

Kong Bai and Nu Liexi frowned at that. ”Why did Jia Zizhen suddenly attack Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun? They are his seniors and advisors, so we found it strange.”

”You two still remember their granddaughter, right?” Kong Bai and Nu Liexi nodded at Jia Xianzu. ”Jia Yuyan was the most special among our fairy race because the Ancient Treant Spirit chose her as his successor, and Jia Zizhen was afraid that her existence would threaten him. He forced Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun to marry her to him, but he didn’t immediately take her as his wife at that time. He wanted to slow down her growth because he was afraid that she would surpass him, so he sent her to the Three Mortal Realms to look for someone.”

”Jia Zizhen ordered her to look for the successor of the ten-tailed fox, right?”

”Yes.” Jia Xianzu nodded at them. ”Jia Yuyan managed to find the successor of the ten-tailed fox, and she has already returned to this realm. Therefore, Jia Zizhen forced Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun to bring her back to marry him, but he didn’t know that she was already the wife of the successor of the ten-tailed fox.”

”Huh?” Kong Bai and Nu Liexi were shocked again after hearing that. ”Does this mean the successor of the ten-tailed fox is already in this realm now?”

”Jia Yuyan has already brought him into this realm, and he is under Long Wuzhao’s protection now. Apart from the Dragon Emperor, Empress Huo also has a close relationship with him, and she has expressed her intention to protect him.” Jia Xianzu deliberately made that statement because he was aware that no one would dare to disturb or attack Zhang Fei [5] if they knew he was under the protection of two powerful cultivators, making the two people smile bitterly after hearing that. ”He had already met his two grandparents-in-law, and he realized they were in danger. Therefore, he asked the Dragon Emperor to save them, and he overheard Jia Zizhen’s words from within the void, so it was confirmed that the rumors were true.”

Nu Liexi nodded in understanding. ”I didn’t expect that Jia Zuzhen’s decision to send Jia Yuyan to the Three Mortal Realms would backfire on him, but I think that’s a good thing, right?”

”That’s true.” Kong Bai nodded in agreement. ”Since Long Wuzhao and Long Xukong have overheard Jia Zizhen’s words about his involvement with the two demon gods, I believe they have started monitoring his movements now. So, what are your next plans?”

”I already have some plans, but I will meet the higher-ups first to submit my resignation, and I will go to the Emerald Bamboo Sect after that.” After he canceled his abilities, Jia Xianzu looked at Xing Haoran, whose face had turned pale. ”Let’s bring him to them, and let them decide his punishment.”

”Let’s go.”
