Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1206: Free The Hostages

”Didn’t Feng Yao say anything about me?”

Zhuxian Sheng raised an eyebrow slightly. ”The crimson-haired woman only asked me to train you.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [4] nodded in understanding. ”Everyone on my side knows that I have three identities, and this evil dragon form is my beast identity. At first, I was not a dragon; instead, I found a dead real dragon in a realm. I inherited many things from it, and I became an evil dragon ever since.”

”That’s—”

”My husband didn’t lie to you.” Luo Yunxiao approached them. ”We were born on the same planet, and we grew up together for ten years. He was born as a mortal in a world without Qi, but fate had other plans for him. If you don’t believe us, I will share our childhood memories with you.”

”Please.” Luo Yunxiao then shared their childhood memories with Zhuxian Sheng, convincing him that Zhang Fei [4] was indeed born a mortal. ”Then, what is your third identity? How did you become like this? It should be impossible for a living being to have three identities, but I can’t sense your demon and beast auras when you’re in your human form.”

”Someone higher than an ancient being accidentally killed me and resurrected me.” Zhuxian Sheng wore a look of disbelief after hearing that, but Zhang Fei [4] instantly transformed into his demon form, making his beast aura disappear. ”As you can see, my other identity is a lust demon, a transcendent one to be precise. I don’t know what that person did to me because I died at the time, and I’ve had my three identities ever since.”

Zhuxian Sheng found it difficult to believe, but he was sure that Zhang Fei [4]’s three identities were real. ”I’ve heard of the ancient races, and my late master was one of them, but he never told me about a living being higher than them.”

”Huh?” Luo Yunxiao and Zhang Fei [4] were shocked by this. ”How could you have an ancient being as your master?”

Since Zhang Fei [4] had already shared some of his secrets, Zhuxian Sheng decided to reveal a few of his own. ”This Paradise Realm is much wider and more mysterious than you two can imagine, and there are many dungeons like this one out there. I met my master in one of them thousands of years ago, but he was already in a dying state when we met. He chose me as his disciple because we both have the time element, and he also passed on his special physique to me.”

”The Ancestral Battle Saint Physique.”

Zhuxian Sheng nodded at them. ”Many people think I was born with it, but I inherited it from my late master. His Shizu Clan was once one of the ten strongest clans in the Ancient Realm, but a mysterious man destroyed it. He also destroyed several other ancient clans, one of which was the Ancient Nether Clan.

”Husband.”

Zhang Fei [4] nodded to Luo Yunxiao. ”Yuan Xiajie is a member of the Ancient Nether Clan, but I didn’t expect her clan to be destroyed.”

”Oh?” Zhuxian Sheng was surprised to hear that. ”Do you really know someone from the Ancient Nether Clan?”

”No.” Zhang Fei [4] then told Zhuxian Sheng about his meeting with Yuan Xiajie. ”She kidnapped one of my women, but I have no clue as to her whereabouts. Feng Yao should know her hideout, but she’s unwilling to tell me the truth.”

”The ancient races have the same cultivation levels as us, but they have advantages that cultivators in this realm don’t have, which makes them several times stronger than us. Given your current strength, you are unable to face the cultivators here, so it is unwise to consider seeking Yuan Xiajie; otherwise, you will die at her hands.” Zhuxian Sheng then took out the black spear that Feng Yao gave him. ”Who exactly is that crimson-haired woman? This spear is the Sky Breaking Spear, one of the best weapons in the ancient realm, but my late master said that it has been lost since the era of his great-grandfather. It turned out this spear was in her hand, and she gave it to me in exchange for training you.”

Zhang Fei [4] released a soft sigh. ”Feng Yao’s identity is more complicated than you imagine, but we shouldn’t talk about this now. Once we return to my sect, you can ask her directly. However, I’m sure she won’t tell you the truth, as she is still hiding her true identity from me.”

”Hey guys, come here now! We have to send these people out right now!” Tianshi Shengjie shouted from a distance.

”Let’s go there.” Zhuxian Sheng stored the spear in his storage ring and walked toward those people.

Zhang Fei [4] shouldered the unconscious Yao Qilin and led Luo Yunxiao over to them; he gave them Qi recovery and healing pills, especially cultivators like Nong Qinwei, Yin Chang, and Guang Yue.

”Thank you for saving us, Zhang Fei.” Nong Qinwei weakly spoke.

”No need.” Zhang Fei [4] asked Luo Yunxiao and the others to distribute the pills to the others. ”I will send you guys out, but please refrain from talking about my abilities in public.”

”Our lips are sealed.” Guang Yue and then others nodded.

Yin Chang then asked him. ”Why don’t you kill this female evil beast?”

”Why should I kill her?” Zhang Fei [4] responded with a headshake. ”She didn’t do anything to me, and I’m not a cold-blooded killer either. Furthermore, I’m a dual cultivator, and my sect is still far behind most of the supreme sects in this realm. It would be a shame if I killed her when I can use her for many things, one of which is being a protector of my sect.”

’Tch! He already has two powerful beasts by his side, and if he also appoints this female evil beast to be his sect’s protector, then we will lose our chance to seize the floating plateau.’ Guang Yue could only grumble in her heart.

”But—”

”Stop it, Chang’er.” Nong Qinwei interrupted Yin Chang. ”Once again, thank you for saving us, and we will not interfere with your decision regarding this female evil beast.”

Zhang Fei [4] suddenly had an idea. ”How about you wait for me at my sect? I have some ideas related to our ’profession’, and I have an offer for the two of you.”

Nong Qinwei and Yin Chang understood Zhang Fei [4]’s meaning, and the two exchanged glances for a moment before nodding. ”Alright, we’ll wait for you at your sect, and we’ll talk after you return.”

”That’s good.”

After Tianshi Shengjie and the others helped those people swallow the pills, Zhang Fei [4] immediately opened the gate to the Twin Flames domain and sent all of them out of the dungeon. He asked those powerful cultivators to take the people who were still unconscious to a safe place, as he would rather not waste his time taking care of them.

Since Yao Qilin wouldn’t wake up before he freed her subconscious, Zhang Fei [4] sent her into the training space, and one of his wives immediately took her to the pavilion.

”Shall we join them to fight those beasts?” Tianshi Shengjie asked.

”No need.” Zhang Fei [4] took out the memory extractor and displayed the battles in various areas. The first one they saw was the battle between Su Shentian and Jian Kuang against the Nine-Headed Evil Bird, Jiu Niao.

They could see that Jiu Niao was overwhelmed by Su Shentian and Jian Kuang, and his entire body was covered in blood from their fierce attacks.

”He’s just waiting to die.” They agreed with Zhuxian Sheng.

In another area, they saw Long Xukong mercilessly beating the War Devil Beast, Chi You, leaving him badly battered beyond recognition. ”Your father seems to really hate that beast, Youjia.”

”Haha.” Long Youjia laughed at Tianshi Shengjie’s words. ”You should still remember the old history between them, so you shouldn’t be surprised if my father behaves like that towards Chi You. However, I think he won’t kill that evil beast, and he might do something else to him.”

”Yes.” Tianshi Shengjie nodded in agreement.

They then looked at several other areas, where Huo Lanyin, Huo Yu’er, and Huo Hao’er were fighting three other evil mythical beasts and their subordinates. The Corrupted Dragon-Tiger, the Man-Eating Beast, and the Three-Eyed Demon Ape were completely helpless before the three women.

”Who are those three women? How could they easily beat those evil beasts?” Zhuxian Sheng asked in disbelief.

”The three of them are Empress Huo Yanling’s aides.” Zhuxian Sheng looked at Zhang Fei [4] in shock. ”In fact, Feng Yao is her reincarnation, so you shouldn’t be surprised if they can be that strong.”

”I see.” Zhuxian Sheng then watched another fight, where Li Tianyu, Lan Yueru, Jia Lingzhu, and Jia Shengyun gang up on the Blood-Horned Xiezhi, Xie Zhi, and his subordinates.

Tianshi Bailong, assisted by Beiming Youhuang, fought against The Two-Headed Ghost Dragon, Long Gui. Meanwhile, Long Wuzhao alone faced the strongest among the evil beasts, the Evil Black Dragon, Xie Heilong.

Zhang Fei [4] exhaled softly. ”Long Wuzhao and the others are too strong for those evil beasts, so we don’t need to go there to help them. Instead, we’ll go to the last place, the Endless Night Labyrinth, and head to the palace.”

”Let’s go, Husband. The others are waiting for us there, and I want to leave this dungeon soon.”
