Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1230: Holy Radiance War Armor

As soon as they arrived at the main hall, Tian Huangjin immediately asked Zhang Fei [5]. ”Why don’t you bring my father and the others to meet Xu Ling’er in one of your spaces?”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow for a moment before nodding in agreement. ”Alright, I’ll take you guys there.”

Zhang Fei [5] opened the Yin-Yang Space as he didn’t want them to know about his training space, surprising Tian Ziyu and two grand elders.

”Go in.” Tian Huangjin led the three to enter it, but Tianshi Shengjie decided to follow them. Zhang Fei [5] did not go in there and returned to the mountaintop, as Qing Qiu’er and the others were already waiting for him.

Tian Ziyu and two grand elders were surprised to see another Zhang Fei there with Xu Ling’er, as his real body and clones were perfectly identical from all aspects. They looked at the rooms there, finding those female prisoners sleeping in excellent health. However, the glass tube in the middle of the room shocked them, as it was filled with Qi.

Zhang Fei [4] embraced Xu Ling’er’s shoulders. ”Even though she hasn’t returned to her past form, you should already be able to sense the purity and power of her light element, right?”

”Yes.” The three nodded to him.

Tian You’an moved in front of Xu Ling’er and closely observed her. ”She’s still under 40, and she hasn’t regained her past memories, but her cultivation has already reached the 1-Sun Celestial Lord Realm. Not to mention, she has also mastered the Light Elemental Law to the Perfection Stage, so none of us three can compare to her.”

”Huangjin.”

”Yes.” Tian Huangjin took out the holy radiance sword and handed it to Xu Ling’er.

As soon as Xu Ling’er received the sword, her body glowed golden, and she quickly returned to her past form. Tian Ziyu, Tian You’an, and Tian Wei immediately knelt before her. ”Welcome back, Ancestor.”

”Get up.” Xu Ling’er lifted them up with her aura. ”I’ve heard from my husband about the problems within our Winged Race, especially regarding Tian Qiye and her group. For now, you don’t need to do anything to them, and I will personally punish them when I go to the Radiance Domain.”

”Yes, Ancestor.”

”Have you found my other equipment?”

Tian Huangjin just remembered something. ”Zhang Fei, we both forgot something important in the Forgotten Realm.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [4] raised his eyebrows. ”Oh, right! I was too focused on my cultivation and personal affairs, and I forgot that the Holy Radiance War Armor was in the Forgotten Realm.”

”Yes.” Tian Huangjin nodded at him. ”Since my ancestor has reached the Five Celestial Realms, she should be able to retrieve her war armor from that place by now, but—”

”It’s not a big deal.” Zhang Fei [4] opened the gate that connected to the Forgotten Land. ”Let’s go there now.”

A while later, they had arrived at the Forgotten Land, making the three grand elders sigh in their hearts.

”Over there.” Tian Huangjin pointed west. ”There is a Crystal Ruin Expanse a little far from the Eternal Spring Oasis, and the Holy Radiance War Armor is hidden there.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei [4] was surprised to hear that. ”Back then, Feng Yao and I went to the Eternal Spring Oasis, but we couldn’t detect anything else from that area, except for those rare forging materials.”

Xu Ling’er immediately spoke to her. ”Big brother, no one can sense the existence of my equipment other than the members of my race, so you don’t need to be confused if you couldn’t detect my armor at that time.”

”Then—”

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu and several ancestors of the Xuanyuan Clan suddenly appeared before them, surprising all of them, except for Zhang Fei [4].

”We meet again, kid.” Xuanyuan Zhuanxu immediately spoke while looking at Xu Ling’er. ”What brought you here today?”

”I have business in the Crystal Ruin Expanse, Old Man.” Zhang Fei [4]’s answer confused Xuanyuan Zhuanxu and the others, as they had never found anything meaningful there. ”Sorry, Old Man, but I don’t have much time right now. We’ll head there now, and we’ll leave after we finish our business.”

Without waiting for Xuanyuan Zhuanxu’s reply, Zhang Fei [4] enveloped Tian Huangjin and the others with his aura and took them away using the Nine Cloud Steps.

Xuanyuan Zhuanxu and the others were shocked by that, but they immediately flew towards the Crystal Ruin Expanse to catch up with them.

”What exactly are they looking for there? Why are they in such a hurry to get there?” Xuanyuan Qian asked them.

”We’ll know once we get there,” Xuanyuan Wuyue answered her. ”However, I didn’t expect that kid to have connections with the grand elders of the Winged Race, and they seemed to respect the woman he holds dear.”

Xuanyuan Changyi then spoke. ”In the past, I heard rumors that the ancestor of the Winged Race would return one day in the future, and that woman might be her reincarnation.”

”If the rumors are true, it’s no surprise that he has a relationship with them.” The three women nodded to Xuanyuan Shun.

”But what is their purpose for going there?” Xuanyuan Hao asked in confusion.

”There’s no need for many questions, and we just need to chase after them to find out the answers.”

.

They had arrived above the Crystal Ruin Expanse, a wasteland of shattered crystals, their jagged spires gleaming faintly beneath the pale sky. However, Zhang Fei [4] and Tianshi Shengjie still couldn’t see or sense anything there. ”Are you sure the armor is here?”

”Haha.” Xu Ling’er and the Winged Race members laughed at that.

”Big brother, you’ll see it soon.” Xu Ling’er slowly landed in the center of the area, and Zhang Fei [4] immediately followed her. However, Tian Ziyu and the others didn’t follow them, waiting in the air.

As soon as they landed there, a wave of Qi surged out and swept the two of them away. Xu Ling’er released her aura and a white dome appeared in front of them, allowing Zhang Fei [4] to see the Holy Radiance War Armor inside.

The Holy Radiance War Armor is a peerless set of equipment that radiates an aura of sanctity and unyielding majesty. A pure light element radiates from it, giving a calm yet domineering feeling.

The base of the armor is gleaming with a pure snow-white coating, smooth and soft. The edges and seams were intricate gold carvings, faintly gleaming with divine runes. The shoulder guards rose like brilliant white wings, each lined with golden thread, while the breastplate bore a symbol in the center that resembled golden wings.

The light element around the Holy Radiance War Armor began to glow as it sensed Xu Ling’er’s aura, making her smile. ”Can you see it now, Big Brother?”

”Yes.” Zhang Fei [4] pushed her forward. ”Go on and take it; your armor has been waiting for your return for a long time.”

Xu Ling’er nodded and walked into the white dome, causing it to glow brightly and dazzle the eyes of everyone present.

The six ancestors of the Xuanyuan Clan, who had just arrived, were shocked when they saw that. After all, they were natives of the Forbidden Land, and they had lived in that domain since the era of their ancestors, but they had never found anything in those ruins before.

”Who exactly is that woman, Tian Yizu?”

”She is the reincarnation of our first ancestor, Tian Huangjin.” The six of them looked at Tian Yizu with an expression of shock. ”I don’t know how it ended up in this domain, but the thing inside the white dome is her war armor, and no one can see it except for members of our race. My daughter and some of our members tried to take it in the past, but it wasn’t willing to acknowledge them as its master, and it was waiting for its true master to return.”

”So, the rumors I heard in the past are true, huh?” Xuanyuan Changyi muttered under her breath, looking at the dazzling white light.

Tian Yizu turned to her. ”I don’t know what kind of rumors you heard in the past, but our ancestor’s return is the first mark of a great war that will occur in the future.”

”A great war? What do you mean by that?”

Tian Yizu released a soft sigh before telling them about a few things. ”One day in the future, the ten-tailed fox will return to this universe once again. He is more than a heavenly fox; he is also a human and a demon. He is the one who will bring peace to humans, demons, beasts, and natural races. At that time, the reincarnations of the ancestors of all races will join him and fight by his side, but only two will stand beside him. One of them is my first ancestor, and the other one is the first demon ancestor.”

Hearing that, they turned their gazes to Zhang Fei [4], who was still waiting for Xu Ling’er below them. ”Where did you hear about all that?”

”The writings about the return of the ten-tailed fox have become common knowledge within the beast and natural races.” Tianshi Shengjie answered Xuanyuan Wuyue. ”The two races are looking forward to the ten-tailed fox’s return, but not all of them want him to return. Even the Fairy King, Jia Zizhen, was planning about capturing and killing him he conspired with the demon races.”
