Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1243: Talk With Gong Wei

”My sect hasn’t accepted disciples from the Three Mortal Realms for thousands of years,” Gong Wei then questioned him. ”From which tower did they ascend to this realm?”

”The Moon Tower.”

Gong Wei was momentarily taken aback. ”If they truly ascended to this realm via the Moon Tower, I believe you should visit the Celestial Moon Domain. However, I can’t confirm whether the people you are looking for are there, as those higher-ups will scramble over if there are new ascenders.”

”The Celestial Moon Domain, huh?” Zhang Fei [5] muttered to himself.

”That’s right.” Gong Wei nodded at him. ”As the name suggests, there is no sun there, and only a moon year-round, making it most suitable for female cultivators because the Yin Qi there is highest among all the domains in this realm. There are several female sects there, but the strongest among them is the Frozen Moon Sect. If you are considering visiting that domain, you should abandon the idea because entry is prohibited for men. Instead, send some of your wives to go there to check whether your female acquaintances are there or not, but your male acquaintances are definitely not there.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”I think I can send Luo Yunxiao and some others to that domain. Although I don’t know those people personally, they are the relatives of some of my close friends, so I thought of looking for them and bringing them to my sect.”

”Luo Yunxiao is Luo Fenghan’s daughter, right?” Zhang Fei [5] nodded to Gong Wei. ”With her status as the princess of the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary, I’m sure the people from the Frozen Moon Sect will not refuse to meet her, so she is your best choice to check whether your acquaintances are in that domain or not. By the way, you should rethink your plan to contact the Paradise Realm and the Three Immortal Realms because the higher-ups who control those towers will not like it, and they might fight you if you do that.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] furrowed his brows. ”Why don’t they like it? They need new talents for the future of this realm, right?”

Gong Wei let out a soft sigh. ”You’ve been a cultivator for a long time now, so you should understand the reason, right?”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”Greed and authority.”

”That’s right.” Gong Wei gave him a light nod. ”Those people and their clans are the oldest cultivators in this realm, and they have held authority over those towers for a very long time. One of the reasons other sects and clans have difficulty finding new talents is because those people always prioritize their clans, and the number of cultivators ascending from the Three Mortal Realms is simply too few. As they grow older and stronger, rather than achieving peace, they develop fear that others will ruin their dominance. If you carry out your plan to connect the two realms, and the others get many new talents, I’m sure those people won’t just sit idly by.”

Zhang Fei [5] could only sigh after hearing that. ”Those people are simply foolish! They have lived for so long, but they still care about worldly affairs. As long as they are like that, they will never be able to achieve peace, let alone reach higher levels.”

”Higher levels? Do they really exist?” Gong Wei asked with surprise.

Zhang Fei [5] shook his head slightly. ”To be honest, I still don’t have clear information about the higher levels, but I have found some clues about them.”

”Can you tell me about some of those clues?” Gong Wei was really curious about that.

”You’ve met the mysterious merchant in the Forbidden Land, right?” Gong Wei nodded to Zhang Fei [5]. ”Puyang Shangren is a member of the ancient Puyang Clan, and there are many other ancient clans in this universe. However, they do not live in this Paradise Realm; instead, they live in their own realm called the Ancient Realm. The Silver Moon Clan, the owner of the Endless Night Dungeon, was once part of the ancient clans. In fact, both that clan and the Golden Sun Clan were among the first ancient clans, but they were both destroyed due to a great disaster in the past. Additionally, there are still some clues that people from all races, except for the beast races and the evil beast races, are unaware of.”

”Such as?”

”The existence of the two primordial beasts: the Primordial Nihility Beast and the Primordial Genesis Beast.” Gong Wei fell dumbstruck as his eyes widened in shock after Zhang Fei [5] mentioned the two beasts. ”Taotie and the other three were subordinates of the former, and he ordered them to do several things without the majority of the inhabitants of this realm realizing it. Currently, people are unaware of their existence because they do not live in this realm, and they live in a realm higher than the ancient realm; thus, I believe that higher levels after the Five Celestial Realms do exist.”

Gong Wei took a deep breath after hearing all that. ”Do those two primordial beasts really exist? Does the Dragon Emperor know about their existence?”

”I don’t need to lie to you, right?” Zhang Fei [5] responded with a shake of his head. ”Long Wuzhao has long been aware of their existence, and he has been trying hard to reach their level, but he still hasn’t succeeded. To tell you the truth, I came up with that plan due to their existence. Currently, they haven’t shown themselves, but I believe they will appear one day in the future. If that happens, this realm won’t be able to withstand them, and their presence will bring great destruction to the inhabitants of this realm.”

”Does that mean you are thinking about fighting and stopping the two primordial beasts?”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled bitterly hearing that. ”My cultivation is still far behind yours, so I don’t dare say such a thing for now. Honestly, I’m not really concerned about the fate of the residents of this realm, but my closest people live here now. If the two primordial beasts descend upon this realm, their presence will also impact those around me. Therefore, I cannot remain silent, and I must build up my strength in this realm. Whether we will succeed in stopping them or not, I don’t have the answer now, and time will tell everything.”

”I see.” If someone else had said that to Gong Wei, he would never have believed anyone else. However, he already knew more or less about Zhang Fei, including his relationship with Feng Yao, who was the reincarnation of Empress Huo Yanling. Furthermore, he had also witnessed his closeness with Tianshi Shengjie and Tian Huangjin, so he felt no need to doubt him. ”So, what can I do to help you?”

”Nothing.” Zhang Fei [5] shook his head in response. ”I’m telling you all this is not to burden you, and you don’t need to think too much about it. It’s all just my guess, and the truth isn’t clear yet. For now, your job is to lead your members to improve themselves more diligently, and I will also focus on building my strength in this realm, so we will be ready to face the situation if such a disaster suddenly occurs.”

Gong Wei nodded in agreement with that. ”Then, what about the ancient realm and the realm where the two primordial beasts live? Can we go to those two realms?”

”Unfortunately, we can’t go to those two realms with our current strength.” Both Zhang Fei [5] and Gong Wei sighed in disappointment. ”The Forbidden Land is the border between the Paradise Realm and the Ancient Realm, but we can’t go there by ourselves, and we need the help of people from the ancient clans to enter their realm. Therefore, we don’t need to think about that realm, and we have to focus on the road in front of us.”

”Yeah, you’re right.” Gong Wei then asked him again. ”So, what are your plans after this?”

”I will visit several other domains after this, including the Sky Pillar Domain, to look for some things.” Zhang Fei [5] then looked towards the outside of the sect. ”However, I need some other information, so I thought about visiting an old friend at the Star Tower.”

”Wan Jiang.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at him. ”Back then, I didn’t know anything about this realm, and the Star Tower was a turning point for me. When I challenged the tower for the first time, I began to understand many things, and that old man also helped me in many ways, so I’m going to meet him now.”

”If you want to go to the Star Tower, you must go to the Falling Star Domain first because the entrance is in that domain.” Zhang Fei [5] looked at Gong Wei again, asking for an explanation. ”The Xing Clan has full control over that tower, but they probably won’t let you enter if you don’t have connections.”

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] softly laughed. ”In that case, I won’t have any trouble getting in there. Beiming Youhuang is Luo Yunxiao’s master, and Wan Jiang’s disciple is my woman. Therefore, I only need to bring one of them into the Xing Clan, and those people will definitely let me in.”

Gong Wei naturally knew about Beiming Youhuang and Luo Yunxiao’s relationship, but he was curious about Zhang Fei [5] and Helian Xun’er’s relationship. ”Since when do you—”
