Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1229: Killing Demons

Qing Qiu’er wrapped her arms around his neck. ”I think we shouldn’t merge the two sects because our sect is no longer a dual cultivation sect, and the Blazing Union Sect simply has too many. If we merge the two sects and their disciples move here, then those prospective disciples might be hesitant to join us. I believe we can separate the disciples and elders according to gender if you’re considering looking after that sect as well.”

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow slightly. ”Are you thinking of sending all our male elders and disciples to that sect and moving their female elders and disciples here?”

”Yes.” Qing Qiu’er nodded at him. ”Our sect is more suitable for female cultivators due to the presence of the Celestial Yin Lake, while the Blazing Union Sect, which has the Celestial Yang Lake, is more suitable for male cultivators. Therefore, dividing them based on their gender is the best solution for us, and we only need to install a teleportation portal to connect the two sects, allowing them to move back and forth with ease.”

”I think it can be done, but we have to discuss the matter with them first.” Zhang Fei [5] then looked at the distance. ”Additionally, we have to talk to Chi Hongchen and Guang Ye because our decision will have a significant impact on this domain, and the other dual cultivation sects might oppose our plans.”

”I agree with you.” Qing Qiu’er rested her head on his shoulders. ”There are hundreds of sects in this domain from ordinary to supreme sects, and our plans will definitely affect them. I think Chi Hongchen and Guang Ye will not object to our plans, and they should be able to help us to persuade the other sects, so we can try talking to them first tomorrow.”

”Alright, we will go to the Sun Moon Sect tomorrow morning.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately carried her and took her out of the barrier to meet several guests.

Tianshi Shengjie, Tian Huangjin, Tian Huotian, and Tian Zhiling also moved out, as the guests were the entourage of their two races.

”We meet again, kid.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at Tian Yizu. ”Before, you only used your avatar, so this is our first time meeting in person. Since you’re here, we’ll talk after we clean up those demons.”

”Okay.”

Tian You’an immediately floated in front of Zhang Fei [5]. ”Is she in this sect? Can you take us to meet her?”

”She’s not here, and she’s in isolation right now.” Zhang Fei [5]’s answer disappointed Tian You’an, Tian Yizu, and Tian Wei, as they wanted to meet Xu Ling’er to confirm the truth. ”I understand your desire to meet her, but I must prioritize her safety. She is one of my wives now, and I’m worried that Tian Qiye has the ability to detect her return, so I’m reluctant to bring her out.”

The three grand elders nodded in understanding, then Tian Wei asked him. ”Has her cultivation reached the Five Celestial Realms?”

”She reached that stage a few days ago, but it wasn’t enough for her to be able to travel freely in this realm.” The three grand elders agreed with Zhang Fei [5]. ”By the way, the eight demons are on their way to this domain, and I think they will arrive soon. Therefore, we should go to the Blazing Union Sect now, and we will ambush them there.”

”Brother Xukong.”

Long Xukong directly opened a void hole and led them to enter it, followed by Tianshi Shengji, Tian Huangjin, and two other winged race members. Zhang Fei [5] joined them, but he left Qing Qiu’er in their sect.

Tianshi Bailong, Long Xukong, Tian Yizu, Tian You’an, and Tian Wei frowned as Jiu Ming and Qiu Meixuan appeared before them. However, they could see that both of them were loyal to Zhang Fei [5], making them certain that he had enslaved them.

Zhang Fei [5] was aware of their thoughts and spoke to them directly. ”I was worried that the other eight would notice, so I didn’t enslave them, and I used another method to control them. Additionally, I altered some of their memories, so they became loyal to me now.”

”What are your plans for this male demon?”

”Nothing.” Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at Tian Yizu. ”If you want to kill him, feel free to do it.”

”Don’t you want to absorb his strength?”

”Naturally, I want to absorb his strength and demon power.” Zhang Fei [5] then pressed his heart area. ”However, you haven’t forgotten about the thing inside my body, right? I’ve already controlled it, but I’m worried that it will get out of control again if I use my ability too often, so I’ve been purposely holding myself back.”

Zhang Fei [5]’s answer satisfied Tianshi Bailong, but Tian You’an suddenly asked him. ”What’s in your body?”

”The Cursed Demon Heart.”

The three grand elders were shocked by Zhang Fei [5]’s revelation, but Tian You’an swiftly touched his chest before checking his heart.

”Is that really the Cursed Demon Heart?” Tian Wei asked.

”It’s true.” Tian You’an then asked him again. ”How could the heart be in your body?”

Zhang Fei [5] couldn’t possibly tell them that he got the Cursed Demon Heart from the system’s quests. ”I found a mysterious chest in the Star Tower, and I was too curious about its contents. Therefore, I immediately opened it, and the Cursed Demon Heart shot into my body as soon as I opened it. Since then, it has become one with my body, and it got out of control once before I managed to get rid of the soul remnant of its previous owner.”

”Oh?” The three grand elders were surprised to hear that because they knew the power of the Cursed Demon Heart’s former owner, and his soul remnant should still be powerful enough for the current Zhang Fei [5], even though he had died a long time ago.

”I had helped to defeat his soul remnant; otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to do it, and I would have fallen under the control of my heart.” Zhang Fei [5] then enveloped them with his aura and brought them into an invisible state, and he brought Qiu Meixuan along as he still needed her. ”They have already entered this domain.”

Tianshi Bailong and the others immediately prepared to ambush the demons, and Zhang Fei [5] ordered Jiu Ming to divert their attention first.

Soon, eight demons from the Nine Nether Demon Race arrived in the sky above the sect, and Jiu Ming greeted them directly. ”Have you prepared everything?”

”Yeah.” A man with an undead appearance and a pungent smell from his body answered him. ”Why did you choose this sect? Our demon gods do need cannon fodder, but the cultivators in this sect are too weak, and they will die in seconds if we send them to the Calamity Domain.”

Jiu Ming nodded at him. ”Naturally, I am aware of that, but they are just chess pieces, and I left the others in other domains.”

”Does that mean the members of the Soul Temple have become demons?” A female demon with several eyeballs floating around her asked.

”Yes.” Jiu Ming then explained to them the details of his meeting with Qiu Meixuan at the Gongsun Clan. ”We’ve wasted time, so we should start now, and we’ll go to the other sects after.”

They nodded at Jiu Ming before scattering in several directions, and they took out several items needed to turn the people in the sect into demons before activating them. ”Nine Nether Transformation Formation!”

A few minutes later, the items released lines that connected to one another, creating a formation resembling a blood pattern with a baleful aura. ”Focus! Otherwise, we will fail, and these items will be wasted.”

They nodded and poured their demon power into the formation, causing it to glow even redder. Jiu Ming watched the other eight demons closely and waited for Zhang Fei [5]’s order.

Once Zhang Fei [5] gave him the order, Jiu Ming immediately attacked the other eight demons using his blood demon abilities.

”Gah!” All of them were sent flying backwards and the formation instantly disappeared.

Before they could get angry with Jiu Ming, Long Xukong and the others had appeared in front of them, and they attacked the eight demons at the same time.

Meanwhile, Zhang Fei [5] did not show himself; instead, he took Qiu Meixuan back to Ming Tianhe’s room and left her there. He did not join Tian Ziyu and the others, and he watched them from the roof of the tallest building in the sect. ’If my cultivation reaches their level, I’m confident I can surpass them.’

The sudden attack of Long Xukong and the others overwhelmed them, as their strength was a major level above those demons.

In a few minutes, Tianshi Bailong and the others had already slaughtered those demons, including Jiu Ming.

Tianshi Shengjie moved to take the storage rings belonging to the demons before her father destroyed their corpse, and she gave them to Zhang Fei [5] because he was the only demon among them. ”You can check them later; who knows, you might be lucky enough to find those items to upgrade your demon rank in them.”

”Thank you.” Zhang Fei [5] stored them in his storage ring. ”Let’s go back to my sect.”

However, Tianshi Bailong did not want to join them, and Long Xukong immediately took him away.
