Zhang Fei [5], accompanied by Tian Huangjin and Tian Shengjie, casually walked towards the throne room. Meanwhile, the other cultivators spread out to several other areas of the Endless Night Palace, checking those areas.

”I’ve been here several times, but this palace still feels creepy to me.” Tian Huangjin spoke as she walked beside Zhang Fei [5].

Zhang Fei [5] turned to her in amusement. ”You fearlessly pursued Xereth to the Three Mortal Realms by yourself, but this place gives you such a feeling.”

”Hey! This palace used to belong to an ancient race, okay?” Tian Huangjin immediately refuted him. ”Xereth may be strong, but he’s not as strong as an ancient.”

”Hehe.” Tianshi Shengjie chuckled. ”Actually, Huangjin has nyctophobia despite being a member of a winged race and possessing a pure light element. She—”

”Stop! Don’t say anything, Shengjie!” Tian Huangjin shouted.

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] softly laughed. ”Honestly, it doesn’t matter if we have fear of something. Even if we are strong cultivators, we are still living creatures with feelings. However, we cannot allow our fear to overcome us; instead, we must overcome it to develop further.”

”Do you have a fear of something?”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at them. ”My biggest fear is making them sad, and they almost experienced it when the Cursed Demon Heart fully awakened. Luckily, my grandmother came to me and saved me, and I managed to take control of the heart from its previous owner.”

”I see.”

Tianshi Shengjie then spoke. ”Although you already have control over your heart, you must still seek the Supreme Bodhi Heart. This way, you can prevent the worst possibility, such as the heart escaping from your control.”

”Yeah.”

Before long, they had arrived in front of the throne room, and Zhang Fei [5] took out the key that Feng Yao had previously given him to open the seal.

Unlike Zhang Fei [5], both Tianshi Shengjie and Tian Huangjin became tense and nervous, sensing the aura emanating from within. ’This woman has been dead for millions of years, but her aura is still terrifying.’

”Wait here; I’ll go inside myself.” Both women nodded to Zhang Fei [5], who immediately walked into the throne room.

”Welcome to my place, the heir of Hu Tianlang.” Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow slightly before shooting several small flames into the torches at the side of the room, illuminating the place and allowing him to see Yin Yue, who was chained on her throne. ”Guang Zhiyi has already told me about you, so I’ve been waiting for your arrival.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately approached Yin Yue and stood in front of her. ”Feng Yao has already told me that she sealed your soul here, but she hasn’t told me the reason behind her decision. So, what exactly happened? Why did she seal you here?”

”Can we not talk about that? That incident happened a million years ago, and it’s one of the regrets of my life; thus, I don’t want to remember it anymore.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding before activating her soul domain and releasing her soul, surprising Yin Yue. ”A young soul cultivator with a half-perfection stage of the divine soul level.”

Zhang Fei [5] looked at the chains binding Yin Yue’s soul, but he didn’t immediately free her, as he didn’t know much about her yet.

”What do you want to do?” Yin Yue asked with a frown as his soul touched hers.

Zhang Fei [5] let out a soft sigh. ”I don’t like to meddle in others’ business, but some things require me to help you. Previously, I went to the mausoleum, and I met the souls of your four ancestors.”

”Oh? Those old geezers left their souls there, huh?” Yin Yue was a bit surprised.

”They’re gone.” Yin Yue nodded in understanding to Zhang Fei [5]. ”They begged me to save your soul and help you revive your Silver Moon Clan. Apart from that, I still have another reason, but I can’t tell you anything.”

Yin Yue narrowed her eyes at him. ”How are you going to help me? My soul has weakened a lot, and I won’t be able to reshape my body with my current soul power. Moreover, I’m too tired after millions of years have passed, and I want to rest forever. If you can free my soul from these chains, I will immediately enter the circle of reincarnation.”

”What kind of leader are you? You caused the destruction of your clan by asking Yin Shizi to create the Heaven-Demon Silver Annihilation technique for Yin Yuemo, which was the starting point of that disaster.” Yin Yue frowned at Zhang Fei [5], not expecting that he managed to find that technique. ”I’ve destroyed that book, so no one will be able to learn that technique again.”

Yin Yue felt relieved after hearing that. ”You’re right, the destruction of my Silver Moon Clan was my fault, because I was too ambitious. Back then, my clan was powerful, but the Golden Sun Clan was more powerful than us. The birth of Yin Yuemo with his two identities gave me new hope, but we don’t have a suitable technique for him. Therefore, I ordered Yin Shizi to create a new technique specifically for him, and the Heaven-Demon Silver Annihilation technique was the result.”

”Unfortunately, the result was beyond your hope, and Yin Yuemo lost his mind as he transformed into a pure demon.” Zhang Fei [5] added.

Yin Yue then continued. ”Yin Yuemo knew that we never liked the Golden Sun Clan, and he inherited my ambition to become the strongest clan. He attacked that clan and killed many of their members, and his actions forced Tian Chongwen to lead their members to retaliate against him, which resulted in a devastating war between our two clans.”

”From the memories of Tian Taiyang’s soul imprisoned at the bottom of the abyss, I already know what happened next.” Yin Yue looked at Zhang Fei [5] with surprise. ”The prolonged war resulted in a catastrophic disaster that affected both clans, leading to your and Tian Chongwen’s death. However, your soul didn’t immediately vanish, and you went berserk before killing many people from both clans. You killed his family before his eyes, and Tian Taiyang went berserk because he couldn’t accept it, and the two of you fought for a long period.”

Yin Yue released a heavy sigh as she nodded to him. ”Our fight was widespread, and it affected others. Guang Zhiyi, who was the guardian of the ancient races at that time, decided to make a move to stop us. Thereafter, she imprisoned my soul in this palace, and she imprisoned Tian Taiyang’s soul at the bottom of the abyss.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding. ”So, what do you wish for now? Your soul has become too weak after millions of years have passed, but I have a way to strengthen it, and you can reshape your body in the future. Your ancestors did beg me to save you and help you revive your clan, but I haven’t agreed to their request yet, and I want to hear your decision. If you regret what happened, you should choose to live and rebuild your clan for their sake. If you are truly tired, I will purify your soul to remove the negative emotions within it, and you will be able to enter the cycle of reincarnation after I free you from these chains.”

Yin Yue fell into deep thought for a long time, considering the options before her. Zhang Fei [5] didn’t disturb her and allowed her to think about it first, and she went to look around the area inside the throne room. ’I have completed two of the five quests and found clues from the other two; however, I have not discovered any clues regarding the quest to uncover the mystery of the dungeon. I initially thought it had something to do with her story, but I was wrong. There should be another secret here, but where should I look for it?’

[The easiest way to find the clue is to save Yin Yue, and she can help you find the answer, Master.]

Zhang Fei [5] agreed with Mei, but he didn’t want to force Yin Yue and let her decide her own future. He checked the area of the throne room, but he didn’t find anything there.

”Zhang Fei.”

Hearing that, Zhang Fei [5] returned to Yin Yue. ”Have you decided?”

”Yes.” Yin Yue nodded at him. ”I owe my clan members a great debt because my ambition led to their deaths. Therefore, I cannot die, and I must live to rebuild my clan. The current me is too weak, and I can’t do it all alone, so I beg for your help.”

Zhang Fei [5] touched her soul. ”There are no problems between us, but we don’t know each other. Moreover, I have many people by my side, and I don’t want to take risks that will make them sad. I’m willing to help you, but I will implant my soul mark into your soul as a guarantee, and I will remove it after you reform your body. What do you think about that?”

”You’re so cautious, huh?” Zhang Fei [5] shrugged his shoulders in response to Yin Yue. ”Since Guang Zhiyi believes in you, I will also place my trust in you, so you can do it now.”
