Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1247: Wan Jiang Join In

”So, what is your decision, Old Man?” Zhang Fei [5] asked Wan Jiang. ”I know that you are part of the Emerald Bamboo Sect, but I have discussed this matter with Senior Li Tianyu and Senior Lan Yueru during my sect’s opening ceremony, and we decided to build a good relationship between the two sects.”

’Tch! I hope my master won’t agree to join this pervert; otherwise, I’ll see him every day, and he’ll harass me again.’ Hua Mei’er grumbled inwardly, waiting for Wan Jiang’s decision.

Unlike Hua Mei’er, Sima Yun seemed enthusiastic about joining Zhang Fei [5], but he said nothing and waited for his master to consider his offer.

”Before I make a decision on your offer, I would like to know your plans for the cultivators in the Nine Stars Realm.” Sima Yun and Hua Mei’er looked at Wan Jiang in confusion because the cultivators from that realm were simply too weak, and both believed that none of them would succeed in reaching the top of the Star Tower, especially after Zhang Fei [5] left the realm.

”Would you believe me if I thought about bringing them to the Paradise Realm?”

”Hmm?” Wan Jiang and his two disciples looked at him in disbelief.

Zhang Fei [5] spoke to them directly. ”In fact, I have brought many of these beings to the Paradise Realm, and they are now part of my sect, particularly the beasts and natural races. As for the humans in that realm, I only brought those who are the families of some of my wives. For the others, I am thinking of building a teleportation device that can connect the two realms, and they will be able to ascend through it in the future.”

”Have you gone mad?” Hua Mei’er asked in a high voice. ”If you do that, the cultivators from the Paradise Realm can descend to the Three Mortal Realms freely, and they will create chaos there.”

”Hua’er is right.” Sima Yun agreed with her. ”I think you should forget about that idea, Zhang Fei. I know your intentions are good, but your actions will only bring trouble to the people of the Three Mortal Realms. Not to mention, your plan will also enrage the senior cultivators in the Paradise Realm, especially those who hold control of all the towers. They will never allow their dominance to be disturbed, and they will work together to destroy you. If that happens, all the realm’s cultivators will consider you as a threat that must be eliminated, and they will also target your sect members.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at them. ”Naturally, I have considered those senior cultivators and clans, but you guys are wrong if you think I will do it openly. I am aware of my strength, and I will not be so crazy as to challenge them. Instead, I will do it secretly, and I will install the portal in a domain that they will not dare to enter.”

”Where?”

”The Blazing Nirvana Domain.” Zhang Fei [5]’s answer stunned both Sima Yun and Hua Mei’er. ”Do you think they would dare enter that domain with Feng Yao present? Two months ago, she ordered her subordinates to carry out a mass slaughter, and they killed countless people from various races. Since that incident was not long ago, I believe those people must still remember the horror of their actions, so I can use her realm as the hub between the two realms.”

”You’re right.” Wan Jiang agreed with Zhang Fei [5]. ”Even if Empress Huo didn’t order that, those old fogeys still wouldn’t dare enter her domain after learning of her return. Thus, it’s feasible if you want to install the teleportation portal in her domain, and they would never be aware of its existence. Then, what about the risk that the cultivators of the Paradise Realm would descend into the Three Mortal Realms? If the cultivators from this realm could easily get down there, they would colonize the people there, as their strength won’t be able to match theirs.”

Zhang Fei [5] smiled in response. ”Old Man, I am naturally aware of the risk, but they wouldn’t dare enter Feng Yao’s domain, so how would they descend there? Furthermore, I don’t plan to build a two-way teleportation device, but I will build a one-way teleportation device. This solution benefits both parties, as it allows the people from the Three Mortal Realms to ascend to this realm more easily while preventing those from the Paradise Realm from using it to go there.”

”Yes.” Wan Jiang nodded at him. ”What exactly is the basis for your desire to make it easier for them to ascend here?”

”Isn’t the birth of new talent in this realm steadily declining every year?” Wan Jiang nodded once again to Zhang Fei [5]. ”There are many talents in the Three Mortal Realms, but not all of them have backers or good opportunities to develop themselves. Since I came from there myself, I thought about giving them opportunities to develop themselves, but the final result depends on their hard work.”

”Where will you house those people later, son? Will you house them all in your sect?” Huang Xiaoyi questioned him.

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] shook his head at her. ”Previously, I’ve met with Gong Wei and Lu Shaqing, and they didn’t mind taking those people in. Senior Li Tianyu and Senior Lan Yueru also had no objections to my plan, so three sects are ready now. Additionally, I have another sect now, and the Sun Moon Sect has also agreed with me.”

”Huh?” Huang Xiaoyi and the others were surprised.

”Haha.” Zhang Fei [5] softly laughed. ”Mother-in-law, I haven’t told you about this, but the Blazing Union Sect is mine now.”

”How did that happen? When did you take over the sect?” Huang Xiaoyi asked in disbelief.

Zhang Fei [5] immediately told them about the incident a month ago, when several members of the Winged Race and the Dragon Race helped him clear out the demons in the Blazing Union Sect, which shocked them. ”Ming Tianhe and Qiu Meixuan are completely loyal to me now, and they still have control over the sect, but they will only act according to my instructions. As for the sects from the Empyrean Main Domain, I need your and my father-in-law’s help to discuss this matter with them, and I will take care of my other affairs.”

”I see.” Huang Xiaoyi nodded in understanding. ”Those sects are clearly eager to build relationships with you, but previously, you only chose the Hidden Moon Sect. Moreover, their sects will get many benefits if they obtain new talents coming from the Three Mortal Realms, so I think we won’t have any difficulty persuading them.”

”I think so.” Zhang Fei [5] then asked Wan Jiang. ”So, what’s your decision, Old Man?”

”Alright, I’ll join you.” Hua Mei’er facepalmed and inwardly grumbled after Wan Jiang made his decision. In contrast, Sima Yun was delighted with their master’s decision. ”However, I can’t go to your sect now because I have to meet the higher-ups first, and also I need to visit Li Tianyu and Lan Yueru to inform them of my decision.”

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in understanding and sent Yin Yue’s soul back to his soul world. ”In that case, you can meet them first, and I will wait for you in my sect.”

”Wait.” Wan Jiang spoke to his two disciples. ”You two don’t need to go with me to meet them, and you can go to his sect first.”

Hua Mei’er was reluctant to join Zhang Fei [5], but she was left with no other option because Wan Jiang had already made up her mind. ”Send us to your sect.”

Zhang Fei [5] immediately opened the gate to the Empyrean Main Domain first. ”Mother-in-law, you can return to your sect through this gate, and I’ll pick up Yunxiao and the others after I send these two to my sect.”

”Alright.”

After Huang Xiaoyi left, Zhang Fei [5] closed the gate and opened another one. ”Go in now, and the people from my sect will accept you two there.”

After Sima Yun and Hua Mei’er left, Zhang Fei [5] immediately spoke to Wan Jiang. ”Old Man, Xing Haoran is out there now, and I think people from the Stygian Dusk Domain are with him.”

”Hmm?” Wan Jiang frowned at that. ”What happened? Were there any issues with them?”

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] explained to Wan Jiang the problems involving his parents-in-law, Linghu Minghua, and the people from the Stygian Dusk Domain. ”I’ll leave them to you, and I’ll go to the Sun Moon Domain.”

After Zhang Fei [5] left, Wan Jiang looked around the room first before letting out a soft sigh. After all, he had spent a long time watching over the Star Tower, but he had decided to relinquish his duties.

As Zhang Fei [5] expected, Wan Jiang saw dozens of people in front of the entrance to the Star Tower, most of whom were Linghu Minghua and the people from the Stygian Dusk Domain.

Xing Haoran and the people from his Xing Clan froze as soon as they saw Wan Jiang. ’Shit! Why did he have to come out now? If we let him go now, the others will attack me because of my connection with these people.’

Linghu Minghua and the people from the Stygian Dusk Domain took several steps back as soon as Wan Jiang looked at them. ’Crap! Why did this old fairy suddenly come out of the tower?’
